pakistan should recall Azhar Ali and Ahmed shehzad
No need, we have their clones in Imam and Babar.

pakistan should recall Azhar Ali and Ahmed shehzad
Hes not responsible for their failure Hes responsible for his own
Rob Key said it live on air They Babar and Imam played too slowly at top They need to go harder and have more urgency when set and get ontop of the rate Stop stat padding and play for the team
Dont ask new batsmen to come in and score at 8-9-10 an over Yes likes of rizwan and ifti etc shouldve done better but you need to give them a chance Not throw them into the deepend where invariably they will sink
Can’t believe what I’m reading from some of these posters.
A player who is mediocre shouldn’t be replaced because he’s the best we’ve got, so we should just settle with being mediocre instead of looking to find a replacement because then we can still be…mediocre.
Hassan Ali is the best we’ve got, so we shouldn’t drop him.
Saud Shakeel is the best we’ve got, so we shouldn’t drop him.
Zahid Mahmood is the best we’ve got, so we shouldn’t drop him.
Well pakistan has too many accumulators at the moment
Babar Rizwan Imam
We cant have them all playing the same way Not in this day and age
Quite the opposite.
If you want to throw people out for mediocrity start from the people who played at 20 and 50 SR and score less than 30.
Not the guy who is mediocre but hits 100.
The problem is people want to start with the guy who has hit 100 and want to give even worse players a longer rope in the team just because of their own favorites.
Can you give me those names who you’re referring to?
An opener getting a century in the 37th over is never a century for the team… but for himself.
The team comes first, I want an opener that takes risks for the team, I don’t care if he gets out on 50-60, as long as it’s coming at a quick rate. 50 from 30 balls from an opener is much more valuable than a 100 coming at a run a ball.
If we are going to throw out people, then lets start from
Iftikhar
Khushdil
Rizwan
Babar
Hasan
Wasim Jr
All of them were equally useless yesterday.
If you don't want your opener to stay till 35th over, then just change Imam from opener to number 3 or 4 and move Rizwan up the order.
You can't have all 7 batsmen who go gung-ho all the time.
One Imam in the middle isn't going to make a difference especially when he comes at 3 or 4 and stabilizes the ininings.
I was hoping you’d mention those names.
My opinions on Imam aren’t just based on todays game, your opinions are.
Well I am just talking about today's game.
The entire argument people are having is, IMAM lost us the game.
If you are telling about his career, well he has enough faults as it is, but he still manages to play around the team with his limited capability.
Perhaps in a better team, he is simply not needed.
In a poor team like Pakistan, surely there is a place for one accumulator if not opener, then at least somewhere in the middle.
Achievable? half the team was out already because of climmbing run rate. pakistan were never going to get 120 off 12 overs vs Aus. Stop being so deluded.
Its not even that.
Lets assume he played at a poor SR of 80 to 100 all innings and scored a 100 runs and played till the 35th over.
The others played at a SR WORSE than him, made LESS RUNS than him, lasted LESS OVERS than him and spent nearly 3/4ths of the batting innings SIPPING TEA in the pavilion and the guy who HITS 100 off 100 odd balls should be shown the door because HE IS AWFUL.
Encore perhaps ?
The thing is that Imaam role is to bat throw the Innings whilst others batters should attack.Thats his role in the team.
I thought babars the anchor no? The management needs to make it clear what everyones role is
You cant have everyone batting at 5 an over The simple suggestion is everyone bats at 100 strike rate Theres no anchor, no stablising the innings or setting it up for the lower order
That's we're Babar needs to be the aggressor or they can change the line up but Pakistan hardly does that.or another solution is drop Imaam and play Rizwan but not sure how you can drop someone who has good conversation rate.
LOL, everyone’s an anchor - in other words everyone is stats padding or trying to save their spot.
What a useless and boring team, might as well go and watch paint dry.
It is boring but it's the best we have unfortunately.
10 runs an over for 11 overs is achievable we stil had Khushdil at the creese also you say Imaam didn't play well but what about Iftikhar who got 2 of 8 balls.Saud can in when the run rate was under 8.
You talk about fearless cricket but haven't provided example who can do this.so becouse England play this way every team should be able to do it right ok.
Can you give me those names who you’re referring to?

sorry but your seriously delusional if you think imam and khusdil were going to score 120 off 12 overs. niether play has won a game for pakistan from such a position.
Like I stated please provide us with alternative if you can't then I suggest you sit back down.
Like i stated stop hyping up mediocre players who selfishly play for themselves. If you think teams need anchors at top order in current modern day ODIs your deluded. Please go find urself a chair and sit down.
Slowed down too much before his hundred or am I over-reading the situation?
121 off 207, did the job. Got out trying to make up for a slow start
Pathetic test player. Can score only on such highways
More heartburn for his irrational hater. Imam is a very good opener, the best Pakistani opener across Tests & ODIs. I’m glad the tried & tested failure Masood is rotting on the bench.
Imam will be a Pakistani great. Best opener since Saeed Anwar.
Those who applaud Imam runs should equally applaud Rizwan and Babar T20 efforts.
All three are be able to occupy the crease however lack the ability to put the opposition under any sort of pressure.
he will be known as a dead wicket specalist, otherwise hes just a walking wicket.
