Means absolute zilch to people outside of Pakistan.

Why's Miandad so angry these days??
He's embarrassing himself and Pakistan

Pretty petty and disgraceful when you have to put others down just to get teams to agree to tour.
You don't get success by pulling others down, you get success by doing what's necessary to get it like focusing on what you want rather than what others have.

He should hire a translator and speak in Urdu. It’s a torture hearing him speak English.

Although I don't agree with the method but Indias lobbying efforts to stop tours from happening in Pakistan need to get exposed

Considering how political ICC and cricketing world has become, I can understand the frustration of a cricketing legend. Though still he could have chosen better words and a medium which might actually deliver his message to ICC.

15 to 20% of the medical tourism to India are from pakistan. Good luck fear mongering them. Not to mention many past Pakistan cricketers actually visit here for cricketing reasons. Either coaching or commentating. He is too naive to think he will even be taken seriously by anyone from other countries.

The more important point that he raised which actually makes sense is that ICC should sanction Indian cricket team for India's human right violence record over the last year. As much as a regular Indian would hate to hear it this is a fair point and the only reason why it won't happen is this world doesn't work based on what's right, it's all about might is right. Countries like USA, China are superpowers and hence can get away with anything and India although not a superpower yet, is now starting to get away with things because of its huge market. 20 years ago India would not have gotten away with things it does now.

In all fairness, indeed the ICC must sanction Indian cricket. The Muslim countries should take the lead in boycotting India followed by Western white nations who should not invite India anymore or tour us.

Safety is not the point here. Despite the ongoing protests India remains safe as before to host any tournament.

But does it deserve to host? Not for as long a facist regime stays in power in my opinion.

Onus now is on world cricket and about the character of the people who lead major governing bodies .

Bhaijaan

This government did not come to power through a coup or self-appointed themselves. They won with overwhelming majority in a democratic way. PM is not a dictator as you imply. Pakistan had its own share of dictators. Nobody stopped visiting there even that time. So don't go there. Hating a leader of a country is not an official reason not to visit there. You do realize developed countries have leaders that world detest right? Have people stopped going there? It is quiet a stretch to use these things as criteria to stop visiting a certain part. It is not like 20 to 30 countries playing cricket. If you lose a couple of Asian countries cricket is pretty much done.

Did not know Afghanis and Bangladeshis are considered Pakistani rofl . You need to revisit your stats first before making such claims. PAkistan and India ties are downgraded there is no ambassador in either country, there is no trade goin gon and lastly No one wants to go your Neo-Nazi fascist nation.

Given the situation prevailing in India. Its natural Javed Miandad is affected by the way minorities in India are facing esp. in UP and Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian cabinet quietly green-lighted building of a database and census like National Population Register (NPR) to check how many Muslims are in India and how they can be declared as doubtful. There are massive protests, internet shutdown in UP, continued curfew in Kashmir, Maoist violence,etc...

Massive protests are orchestrated mostly by Bangladeshis. There is massive infiltration from Bangladesh into India. As long as you have your records in place you are not going to be declared unlawful. Why do you think you don't see any protests all over India but only in certain suspicious parts. Besides you have not seen protests in the USA? You have not seen orchestrated hooliganism in USA? You cannot become a leader without people votes. You cannot orchestrate a coup and become a leader India. You have to win the votes. If people are unhappy they would have voted him out. These selective outrages are orchestrated by known NGO groups.

Lets not get into the specifics of protests. All that is being discussed in TimePass & Sports

Compare yourself to NAzi Germany no other country. No country runs registers and detention camps against its own citizens, own minorities.

No Bangladeshi or Pakistani wants to come to your fascist Nazi country. Those who came before 1991 and whose children were born here can't go back for being of Muslim background, while Hindu Bangladeshis are given citizenship.

The Nazi fascist Indians tried NRC, when many Bangladeshi Hindus were found to be in the list they created CAA sidelining Muslims.
1200 students from Aligarh University took a peaceful march holding candles. Went to the end point and returned peacefully. Right now UP Police has declared curfew around university and booked all students with FIR stating they were trying to damage property.

The Hindu radical Cheif Minister Adityanath is using police to arrest and detain as well as usurp properties of Muslims protesting. Can't even explain how they are separating male Muslim students and trying to harass female protestors. No other country behaves like this not even USA.

As much as I love and respect Miandad, I do think he's starting to lose it a little bit. It is primarily because he is struggling to stay relevant in the eyes of the youth. That won't happen.

Miandad's path to relevance after retirement should've been coaching and mentoring. He knows more about cricket than anyone I've met. Instead, he chose administration and media, and all he had done in those spaces is rebel and complain.

It's a torture hearing him speak in Urdu as well.

He is not a political commentator or makes political statements. He is deeply disturbed with the nazi fascist stuff going on in India. This is an emotional outburst and not something he wants to do.

Apparently you need your brush up your knowledge on Nazis. If you listen to paid hooligans of Congress party you will get a different picture. This is a notorious college for violent activities. Delhi is known for these things. JNU is another college that is a troublesome one. Many have not even read the law carefully before yapping about this. This act is only for illegal immigrants. They could refuse citizenship to pretty much everyone and you could do nothing about it because you are illegal. CAA doesn't affect Indian citizens anyway. So the protest is bizarre. They are perpetuating fake theories like existing muslims could go out of status. That is absolutely false. India has the right to protect iteself any which way they want.

India this, India that...it seems a few ex Pakistani cricketers and PCB officials cannot breath without mentioning India. :-) It is cringeworthy.

I want all cricket teams to tour Pakistan. Their cricket team is good and the public is passionate about the game. They deserve home games and cricket cannot become a global sport if it is not played in a country like Pakistan. If the security situation is good, let us hope the relevant authorities of cricket make sincere efforts to stage games there. Let us also hope PCB officials and their ex cricketers do not complicate the issues.

Miandad should be more concerned about his own country. He should stop giving hate speech . As a batsman he might be one of the great but as a human being a sore loser and bitter person who can only blame India for everything.

sure, let's all blame india for your misfortune. As if India has nothing better to do each waking day ...
This victim mentality from these boomers needs to stop.

This reminds me of toddler logic, when a parent says no to a toddler, the first thing that will come out of there mouth is "He is doing it, why can't I? They fail to realize various variables that go with the decision the parent has to make.

I'm fairly certain I've yet to read more nonsense in one page on PP.

Starting out with Miandad whose own family ties to international terrorists and the underworld is known, and his lunatic behaviour perhaps even better known. He is an all round five star embarrassment.

Then we have this instance of self -abasement. While advocating the formation of a colour and religion based response to what is touted as a religious problem. I'm sure the Caribbeans would be thrilled to be e.

And if safety in not the point, what is? This 'fascist regime' is also an elected one.

......... The Muslim countries should take the lead in boycotting India followed by Western white nations who should not invite India anymore or tour us.

No they aren't. This is a popular movement.

Oh poor dear man, but he's making political statements all the same. I suggests he was born deeply disturbed.

.... This is a notorious college for violent activities. Delhi is known for these things. JNU is another college that is a troublesome one.....

Actually both are very fine institutions. And universities the world over are recognised as centres for debate. When that boils into violence, thats when it should be condemned.

I won't give my opinion on CAA/ NRC here because it would be off topic. But suffice to say that Miandad isn't the only one who's taking through his topi.

Oh god! It was absolute torture hearing him speak English. Had to turn it off. Kudos to those who finished the full video. You guys have patience.

Saying all of this comments doesn't make Pakistan safer to people and just makes the BCCI an unnecessary enemy.

Both countries have wrong perception of the other country. Media is ran by people that couldn't get into science field in school so the coverage will always be whack. Also both countries are "enemies" so people will feel better watching and journalists will feel better covering negative side about the other.

Miandad is right especially if your Muslim India is not safe

But have you been to India ? How well do you know India ? All I know about Pakistan (till i moved out of India) was that Pakistan looked every much like Afghanistani tribal areas.

Javed Miandad in aggressive mood.

Certainly not holding back there.

Certainly isn't if you are a Muslim in India.

For a non-Muslim and white it is safe as long as you do not talk about bigotry by RSS/BJP/Hindutva.

While I understand what he’s trying to say, is it really the right place to outburst? This *** for tat mentality should be discouraged. It’s just embarrassing to see a legendary cricketer making these statements.

Pakistan allowed trade for medicine from India after about 20 days of total ban....

It's no secret that Inida is one of the least safe places in the world. Especially if you are a woman, or a Muslim....or poor....or require clean air for breathing. But as far as cricket is concerned, none of this matters because there is money to be made.

Yeah. Grapes are sour.

So, India is less safe than Pakistan? Pray, please tell me, in which country were international cricketers directly attacked during a cricket tour?

In 1972 the Munich Olympics were hit by terrorists. So I guess no international sport has ever been played there?

Understand the importance of time - it moves on and so should we. Check the situation NOW, not in 2009. When you look at it that way, you will understand why Pakistanis are upset.

Its secret to international sportspersons who come to visit India regularly.

I never claimed that Pakistan is not safe for cricket. In fact, I have made it clear that Bangladesh should tour Pakistan.

I am disputing the claim by the poster that Pakistan is safer than India. Any stats on incidents per capita due to tourism will prove that. Even now, with all the protests, no sporting event has been impacted.

And we wish India the best but your argument with other poster aside, does that not tell you something about how wrong the stance is of people like BCB?

It is wrong. But it is also understandable, to an extent. If someone doesn’t feel safe, they don’t feel safe.

Life is not fair. Otherwise I would have been a partner in my consulting firm
:-p

My point is that Pakistan has more at stake and thus they need to tread more carefully. This name calling and arrogance (they would not have made the same demands to SENA) is not helping. This required diplomacy which has been lacking with PCB.
