Brothers Type " Mohammad Zahid jnr " on Dailymotion and comment whether the Jerk seems natural or is it intensional only with the tennis ball ? Also does it seem within 15 degrees ? He is bowling quick though.


In his previous 2 video footages with Hard Ball when he clocked 148 kph aswell i did not see this jerk in his action :-(


I hope he is within Icc limits comfortably and i pray that he gets all the matches SBP play this season in qualifyinh round aswell as trophy if they qualify and He takes loads of wickets. Same is wished for Bilal Shah aswell who will be helped and guided by Ali Imran Pasha.

I feel Hasan also needs to add Some Muscles and increase his Pace further because He is Short 5'9 probably. In PSL his fastest was 144 kph which on English Speed Guns would be 139 kph probably.

It is very low quality video but jerk seems to be a bit too much almost throwing the ball to naked eye.

But He does not Jerk with the HardBall isn't it ?

Some bowlers intensionally do with the tapeball only if they intend. Lets hope its intensional.


He generates lots of pace wothout much effort which is a great skill to have.

Its hardly a very good quality video but what a little gem you guys have found.

His action makes one very curious, you can tell its raw talent because his run up and pre jump are awful, but what he has got his fast arm speed where he gets decent speed from also he adds that extra bit of pace with his wrist flick when he releases the delivery. Very very raw talent but someone definitely should be at the NCA.


Does anyone know which City he comes from?

I slowed the pictures down frame by frame but still couldn't make out if he was jerking his arm during delivery stride or was it just the camera angle that made it do so..... The 148 Kph delivery that I saw earlier seemed a very clean action so I was quite happy back then. With this one I am not too sure but I am willing to give the benefit of doubt to Zahid as the video quality is potatoesque and we are seeing the visuals at an angle rather than side on or from above the eye line of the bowler.

However, what I am more impressed with are his flexible writs and the flick he has right at the end, this will eventually help him in controlling the swing and would enable him to move the ball both ways (via proper training) - The best part would be that it will most definitely give him an extra zip through the air as well which is essential for reverse swing with the old ball.

This lad is an extremely great find for Pakistan. One last thing, his run up and delivery stride are all over the place :facepalm: someone work with this lad to get this fixed. Seems out of rhythm while running in, (reminded me of Mohammad Talha running in) and PLEASE NO (AQIB 'SERIAL ACTION CHANGER' JAVED or MOHAMMAD 'PITCH IT SHORT' AKRAM). Make him work with either Waqar, Wasim or Shoaib (The real fast bowlers) - or maybe Zahid Snr himself !!

watched it on youtube, the jerk is 100% intentional so to add extra pace to the bowl...for me, the video is enough to judge his action, where he is doing it intentionally and there really is no doubt in it,
the jerk is so very much that he can hardly bowl with good pace without it cause all of the pace coming into the bowl is due to the jerk and his body movement seems to be very poor when he was releasing the bowl, maybe due to his height.

Don't think so he'll do well with the hard bowl even.
 
Looks like he is chucking. The camera angle isn't the best either, so it's hard to judge. Hope his actions gets tested at the NCA before he plays domestic cricket.
 
looks like a vutta to me too..and very wayward..I would love to face him..think i'd score some cheap runs by simply getting in line and guiding the ball to the boundary..there is a jerk in his arm so as a coach i would try and see if it was legal or not first. Pace looked great though. lacks control..we really need to get raw talent like this playing in major hard ball competitions quickly so they can start getting noticed. I hope the PCB speeds up the schools and club competitions urgently..

Really cant see his arm in the video

Very very quick arm action and that is also sudden he do it somehow like a Javelin thrower I had the feeling he even released the ball somehow floating clearly help him generate a lot of pace, but no idea if clean or possibility of injuries.

Seems very clean to me.


He is 5'9 Probably but Pacy. Has potential to become first Express Pacer of that height.

Bhai I am no expert, but from what i see there seems to be a jerk, akin to taskin a bit.

Seems clean to me in the last two videos. Even if there are minor issues they can be adjusted with proper coaching as long as he has raw pace which he does the other things can be worked upon.

Absolutely no jerk at all in the slow mo video I checked it frame by fram just normal bending that every single fast bowler have nothing at all like in 15 degree range or anything.

I have asked him to quit Tape Ball Cricket. He Loves Cricket and Pcb is giving him absolutely no cricket before next Fc season and He cannot resist it.



If he becomes Express Pacer ie 143 to 157kph range than Height will be almost out of Contention and so too the surfaces. Otherwise Height will be Problem.



He should have spent 3 months in NCA before the season but PCB you know.
 
I don't think he bends his arm, I think he may have the same issue as Shoaib Akhtar though. Hyper-extension/double-jointed.

Brothers Type " Mohammad Zahid jnr " on Dailymotion and comment whether the Jerk seems natural or is it intensional only with the tennis ball ? Also does it seem within 15 degrees ? He is bowling quick though.


In his previous 2 video footages with Hard Ball when he clocked 148 kph aswell i did not see this jerk in his action :-(


I hope he is within Icc limits comfortably and i pray that he gets all the matches SBP play this season in qualifyinh round aswell as trophy if they qualify and He takes loads of wickets. Same is wished for Bilal Shah aswell who will be helped and guided by Ali Imran Pasha.


No Short Fast Bowler has excelled in International Cricket except Legend Malcolm Marshal who was Fast indeed. Zahid can become Express aswell. I feel Hasan also needs to add Some Muscles and increase his Pace further because He is Short 5'9 probably. In PSL his fastest was 144 kph which on English Speed Guns would be 139 kph probably.

Muhammad Zahid jnr looked like he was doing what you asked me about him. So i would say yes. But lots of fast bowlers can bent their arm when no one is watching, i did it too. No big deal.

Somebody mentioned it but it was some other Mohammad Zahid.

Zahid jnr and 2 others have been given SBP contracts. SBP was relegated couple of seasons ago.


Zahid was initially selected for Lahore Qalandars Rising Stats but he did not make the final list as the management declared him " OVER AGE "
 
So what is the issue now ?

Why he is not representing SBP in Patrons trophy grade 2 ?


If his action is not clean than it should be announced/published.


He even touched 149kph mark at NCA.

Furthermore there are some pace bowlers who have rare ability to bowl with both clean and illegal action. They have a switch. So if Zahid does jerk at an unacceptable level than it has to be seen whether he can bowl quick with clean action. The 148kph video looks clean actionwise but not those tapeball videos I posted.


He is quite short but he is is as quick as Bhatti was in his peak and has more potential. If his action is legal than his absense from SBP squad is baffling.

Thanks. Not sure if its under 15 or not. Furthermore if he has ability to bowl with clean action than that is what should matter. PCB or SBP should educate us. If SBP has backed out from Contract than too we should know about it.

I've told you before chucking in tape ball is very common. You will never see him bend his arm with the hard ball.

With such an easy action he has the ability to generate pace. It's and absolute shame that he is rotting in tape ball cricket.


Misbah ul Haq needs to look at him at One net session and rest would be history.


Faisalsbad does not have any pacer who bowls as quick as Zahid. Zahid must be given domestic T20 debut in the upcoming domestic T20 tournament.
 
He's at the pindi trials getting valuable pace tips from Rawalpindi express
 
Clocked 86.3 mph at Gujranwala in Lahore qalandars trials. A bowler called Zubair was also 86 mph and both have been singled out by Shoaib Akhtar as potential express bowlers with a bit of training. They will both play for Gujranwala in qalandars rising tournament
 
I think he's playing right now for Gujranwala if I remember correctly. Zubair too the other potential express pacer. It's live on qalandars YouTube and Facebook page
