Pakistan cricket team management has strongly condemned the inappropriate behavior of foreign spectators during today's match at Mount Maunganui.

Amidst the game, cricketers were subjected to abusive language and anti-Pakistan slogans. Khushdil Shah intervened, urging calm, but the situation escalated further with inappropriate remarks in Pashto by certain individuals.

Following a formal complaint, stadium officials promptly acted by ejecting the disruptive spectators, underscoring that such behavior has no place in cricket.

This incident raises concerns over player safety and respect in international cricket. Should stricter measures be implemented to prevent such behavior in the future?

Why are the PCB defending this?

Why is it that it’s only Pakistan players caught in these scuffles with fans? Recently Wahab Riaz, Amir and Harris Rauf? There is a video of Babar Azam also engaging in a hostile manner with fans during a match when someone through a bottle at him.

They seem to have more aggression towards spectators than they have ghairat for their performances!
 
This is disgraceful behaviour from these so called fans.

Players shouldn't react but they are also human beings and it can be difficult to control yourself when subjected to vile abuse.

Afghan fans come and act like hard men in cricket stadiums where most people aren't ready to fight and are with their families.
 
Glad we avoided a a ‘Malice at the Palace’ kind of a situation.

Hopefully in the next game against Afghanistan in England the Pakistani fans here will give them a beating to remember.

Has any reputed agency verified it. I hope they do because it will be unfortunate if people make it a Bharat - Pakistan issue to play politics or for TRP. Our fans rarely attack Pakistan cricketers like that abroad. They’re generally very well behaved and friendly with Pak cricketers
 
There's a reason why they are being deported from pakistan because they are the most dangerous people.

I can assure even most kpk pashtuns will want these people repatriated .

Its funny how some of you are dragging India into it. It's sad that this happened, but if they speak Pashto they should be Afghan/ from KPK. And really I dont see what an Afghan would do here watching boring one sided games spending his hard earned money. It could be unhappy Pak fans like the ones who heckled Rauf and he thought they were Indians too!
An Indian would go no further than calling Inzi, Aloo, I assure you :LOL:

If your cricketers showed even 10 percent of your (and by extension a large poplulace of yours) consistency in blaming India for everything that is wrong in your neck of the woods, they'd be scoring more runs, taking more wickets, catching and fielding better, winning more games and series..... :wasim

I can expect if a match is played in Bharat, some fans can cross the boundary of decency. Is not uncommon although the majority of the fans are decent and would discourage those who indulge in it. But specific to NRIs these behaviour isn’t prevalent now. Back in the day in Canada, England there were some issues but nowadays both countries fans are very friendly and respectful towards each other. Last many ICC matches is a proof of it with hardly any issues, rather countless stories of camaraderie.

Yes Afghan fans paid money and came to watch this Pakistani cricket team play against NZ. You know because pakistan is playing so well that other country fans come to watch Pak play.

Some of you guys have lost it.

I think you must only listen to cricket on the radio. Random subcontinental fans going to matches not involving their team is quite common in SENA countries. You will often see flags of third countries in matches.

I am all for brotherhood. But our neighbours need to stop this terrorism and harassment.

Things are not that bad in actual and are often exaggerated on the internet. I have tried it personally and it’s often worked for me. I know you’re a friendly person and an honest man. Similar to what foreign teams are provided for home series, it's high time the PCB also starts providing presidential level security to foreign fans when Pak team is visiting. Clearly the foreign fans are not safe when Pak visits.

The guy clearly said 'we came to support you', he spoke in a pashtun/urdu accent. The PCB confirmed that Khushdil's retaliation was because of abusive slogans by these people. So these are Pakistan fans who speak urdu in a Pakhtoon accent abusing Pakistan players. What more do I need to understand here???

So first it was reported that it was Afghan's by tout PCB journalists, now you are claiming it was a Sindhi?

Be very careful with twisting this. I will find out what exactly happened and what was said to Khushdil to trigger this reaction from him in particular. Dont go hiding. I will not spare you for your constant hate spreading against Sindh for no good reason!

Someone needs to explain why would an Afghan pay to go watch Pakistan play c string newzealand when they know Pakistan are going to get a bashing and then be upset about it

That guy gave it Khushdil Shah in 2-3 languages actually leading to the confusions. Started with some Pashto and ended with popular Punjabi cuss words that made me chuckle im sorry to say. Punjabi really is the capital city of cuss words.

Same thing happened during the Last year world T20 . They blamed on Indian fans but actually they were Pakistani . :kp
