Did anybody hear from rambo
"Wiese doesnt have the wiese to catch it"
I thought about that for ages. Trying to decipher it. Then I gave up. Can someone help?

Was it a six which went over his head? I think ramiz was joking he needed a visa to catch a plane to get to the ball. But he couldn't catch it as he didn't have one
He tried to make a pun on Weise/visa, which is not too bad
There's over a million Pakistanis in the UK and US.
Many have media experience. Stop this small thinking. Ramiz Raja isn't just bad, he is shocking.
There is no difference between his commentary today and games he commentated in over 20 years ago
"And that's slapped, put away... to the fielder for one run"
He is still the best commentator in Pakistan. He isn’t perfect and makes mistakes but he is the best we have. He is also on the MCC committee so he is highly respected in the game.
He's awful.
This isn't a personal attack. I'm sure he is a nice guy in person.
As a commentator, he has never changed.
I mean which professional starts a post match interview with you have got a long name.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore looked totally perplexed.

Speaking of Ramiz Raja... He hasn't been appearing in couple of last PSL matches I have seen and they have bought in Aamir Sohail
He's actually regressed quite a bit. He used to be pretty decent in his early days, when he didn't search for clever words. I still think that if he tries to keep it simple, he'd be much better off.
Lovely straight drive from Babar
Rambo "That's what happens when you are bowling to a good bowler"![]()
God, he's pathetic! Contrived british accent, limited vocabulary and misuse of the words he does know. All capped with pronouncing South Africa as South Afreeka, he's a national embarrassment, just as Harsha Bhogle is India's.
Wouldn't call his vocabulary limited. Harsha is fantastic I find, very well spoken.
Ramiz on Pak bowlers performances in the 3rd T20I
“During the innings break, I was ready to pull Pakistan bowlers’ pants down in tonight’s analysis but Babar Azam innings helped me cool down. Babar played the finest T20 innings of his career. In fact, you will not get to see a more beautiful innings that this in international cricket"
“You cannot forget Mohammad Rizwan’s contribution at all. He was fasting but still his fitness wasn’t compromised and he gave it his all. Rizwan gave rhythm to the run chase with his singles and inside out drives. He set out a blistering platform in the initial part of the innings, and then Babar Azam took over"
Very personable and my fav commentator. Has a good sense of humor
"Ready to pull pakistan bowlers pants down"
Why would you say this?
Has a lot of humour. Not sure on the taste of the humour though at times.
Not a big fan but he is improving his technique and vocabulary. Well done Rambo

I'm not sure what he means by this. Strange comment.
he was about to do this to Pakistani bowlersI'm not sure what he means by this. Strange comment.
I view his repeated canned phrases and out of context usage of "big" words as plenty of evidence of a limited vocabulary. I also think he's constantly translating from Urdu as he speaks.
Harsha has the language down but has never played the game yet talks as if he's a tenured retired test player. There have been plenty of commentators who have not played the game at the highest level but they temper there opinions accordingly. Harsha comes across as a prepubescent teen trying to fit in amongst the adults. I don't care how astute your observations are, but when it comes to reading the pitch, field placement, psyche of the team, squad composition .etc. I want to hear from a Nasir or a Pointing or a Sangakara, not a nerd that no one picked for their team even during gully cricket.
I'm not sure what he means by this. Strange comment.
Though he didn't mean it disrespectfully, I still think he needs to be aware of this sort of connotation.
After all, nowadays people need to be very careful about what they say.
I think he tries too hard to be funny when he hasn't really got much of a sense of humour. In addition there is this obsession of using big words for effect, when they aren't needed.
The best commentators say little, but what they say matters.

The only reason I can think of, that certain posters consider Ramiz even a slightly good commentator, is that they just haven't heard much good commentary.
Ramiz isn't getting better, he's getting worse. Because he knows he will always get a gig commentating Pakistan's matches.
His most annoying new habit is how he says three similar words in succession while giving his "analysis"
Example:
"So he's just got to reassess, reevaluate, rejig his approach his approach here"
The guy doesn't know how to do commentary. He will either talk in cliches for 5 overs, keep saying stuff like this to show off his vocabulary or get players out by praising them. Btw I have lost count on how many times he has gotten players out by praising them.
Have you ever listened to Harsha's commentary? Probably one of the best analysts of the game right now. His commentary is quite enjoyable and insightful.
No offense, but just because someone didn't play professional cricket doesn't mean that they don't know anything about the sport. Harsha is miles better than any commentator ever produced by Pakistan, by a long shot as well.
But well, each to their own.
This is so accurate!
I’ve also noticed he starts a sentence and isn’t quite sure where it’s going and tries to think of a word which fits in and given English is not his first language, he usually ends up saying something that’s quite strange.
Ramiz's response to a dropped catch, missed run out, misfield etc: "that was not needed"
I'm confused. When are any of the above "ever needed"?
I guess Ramiz was still better than Amir Sohail whose punch line for every stint was “exuberance of youth”.
Rameez Raja in commentary is like the Apple brand in technology. He aint going nowhere no matter how much fool he makes of us fans.
Another gem from Ramiz that leaves one more puzzled than anything else:
"T20 is such a format that you've got to think on your feet. There's no time for leadership, you've got to lead yourself".
He's come to a point where he doesn't even think about what he is saying, and if it even makes any sense. I also can't think of any established commentator who spouts as much gibberish as this guy.
The man had become the voice of Pakistan Cricket after putting in a good 24 years of hard work and must admit whether you agreed or disagreed with his commentatory, you can't deny that all the fans would tune in to listen to his choice of words, variations in tone during crunch moments.
A lot of fans have been telling him if there is a way he can continue being PCB chairman and commentating on Pakistani matches at the same time. I believe he did do this during his tenure as PCB CEO in 2003-2004.
Seemed a bit subdued at the PSL today.
A lot of mentioning of the sponsors and owners - keeping them sweet I guess.
Ramiz when asked if he will make a comeback in the comm box:
"When there will be any plan to return to commentary, I will share it myself,"
Ramiz on his YT:
"They [PCB's management committee] want me to apologize to them first and give an application for commentary, then they will review it. Do you think I will do that?"
