Could try him as an 3 or 4 maybe with Babar going to 4. Or he can bat at 4.

lol Babar is almost assuredly never being moved off the 3 spot. He's made that his own.

Shan will get his shot eventually and I doubt he's tried anywhere but as an opener. Frankly, he doesn't dominate spin enough to play in the middle order nor does he possess big time shots and I'm not sure if he can play quick either.

His best shot is as an opener and most likely Imam's spot if he's given a chance.

Malik can bowl off spin, so he can be utilized as 5th bowler if management wants. Playing both Hafeez and Malik for bowling is not good, instead Haris Sohail should be introduced as the lad has good talent

I desperately want Shan to play but i don't know in place of whom can he come in.

Malik could sit out but that won't happen and also i dont know if Shan would be appropriate at 4 or 5.He is an opener afterall.

I have no idea why we continue to pick Imad on pitches that don't suit his style of bowling and gets milked for runs with ease? He should be replaced by Shan and moved higher like 2-3 down, he can also turn his arm over a bit as well considering he got a couple of wickets in the tests too!

So we can have: Fakhar, Imam, Babar, Shan, Hafeez (for now he plays), Malik (he is iffy on these tracks but has a lot of experience plus he can bowl and excellent fielder as well), Sarfraz (I would rather have Rizwan, oh well Sarfraz is the Kuuptaan), Faheem, Shadab, Hasan, Shaheen/Usman

Shan's chances of playing have decreased significantly. If Pakistan somehow win the series before the last match Shan and other fringe players might get a chance to play.

I mean, we don't want to find ourselves in World Cup like that. We don't want un-necessary players, like Imad, as Hafeez can also bowl his full quota of overs. But in case, he can't, then replace Hafeez with Shan.

He is a left hander, so definitely can negotiate out swing better than the right middle order.

He has a good command on short pitch deliveries & can play better new ball as well.

We were 3 out in 20 overs, so Babar would have ample time if babar bats at 4.

Also, he has great sense of cricket, good brain. Can be future captain too.

Ideally, I want Haris sohail in place of Imad, but since he is unfit, Shan would do more than OK

I love Umar Akmal. But his temperament and lack of maturity gets better of him as a player and a useful member of the squad. He has often thrown it away like Afridi, to be included now. He should be done, at least thats my opinion. We need someone, we can rely on. Shaan proved that consistently, at least in this series..

I suspect an insecure Inzy played his hand in this but there was no reason why he couldn't have been tried out at number 4.

After all wouldn't it be better to keep the top 3 as it is and have a technically sound no.4 rather than the likes of Hafeez and Malik coming in so early?
