Man, Hayden is such a killjoy

Communication issues perhaps since the whole commercial was in Hindi.
I thought it was a very well made ad esp at the end when the baby wets himself while sitting on Sehwag's lap and the latter exclaims "kahin hamare irado par pani na fir jaye".

Hayden calling Sehwag "Viru Boy" should never become a thing.

Star Sports have a fantastic Brand Marketing team. From what I know, there are 7 members from 2013/14 who have been the brains behind their adverts - more power to them. Remember #Mauka?

that one backfired badly in CT more like mauka mauka remind of CT bashing now

I dont know how some Indian fans consider making fun of opposition team good marketing. Every team and player should be respected, havent seen any other country doing that.

Yeah it's so funny when we're making the ads and the other team are babies. Too bad we start braying when someone says the teams fields like donkeys.

It is all in fun. You missed the last dialogue by Viru.

Mauka was brilliant. Many Pakistanis including on here loved it too. Those who didn't need to have a sense of humour.

Besides, you need to look at all aspects beyond just the 'plot' of the advert to rate it.

Mauka mauka and other banter is cool.

It's bad when you cross the lien and start stuff like baap-beta which Indians fans and media did during the Champions trophy 2017. It was only fitting that Pakistan delivered to India the most humiliating phainty ever received by a cricket team in a big match final. Indians deserved it.

But yea mauka mauka is all fun. And baby sitting joke was initiated by Aussies so i guess its all fun till now.

Got to be careful always,

Why do Star and Sony make these over the top ads? Except mauka , I did not find anything funny at all.
"Aane do" fell flat overs it's face.
"We won't give it back" was cringe.
"25 saal ka hisaab" was...... something
Fortunately "chodna mat" turned out okay.

Nice. Builds up excitement for the fans.
This is what? The 10,000th time both teams are meeting over the last few years?
Australia is to India what Sri Lanka is to Pakistan

How can you forget "ikhees salon ka badla chukana hai" for SA series... :smith

I think Indians sense of humour might be different than ours, because this was very cringey.

May be. I find this hilarious. Generally hate all these cricket commercials. Being it is Viru who has good sense of humor , i can certainly connect this. This is hardly offensive. Just a gentle age old banter between India and Australia. Since 2000 India vs Australia rivalry has always produced some amazing contests. A healthy rivalry other than India vs Pakistan, England vs Australia was established during this period.

Imagine Australia doing something similar taking WC as a vantage point. Indians would be up in arms about it.

It’s almost as if self-awareness escaped imagination when making this stuff, but it’s suddenly a reality when someone else does it.

I don't like when Indians mock other teams, but Australia are exception. Their fanbase is as rude as it gets. I haven't seen any other fanbase routinely mocking overseas players like Aussies do. They don't deserve respect from anybody.

It's a joke just for advertising purposes by the broadcaster. Hayden was also joking. No one is getting offended here and Indians wouldn't care if other teams did the same.

I thought it was fantastic. Sarfaraz validating by signing it form the balcony...must have made the day of the creatives who thought it up. Its been goodnatured ribbing all the way.

This is not a sensible take.

What is Afridi (baby biting the red ball) doing in an India-Aus video?

Even though the ad is not in bad taste, I dislike anything Sehwag does these days.
