Dhoni has backed Yuvi the most at tough times and this lol.Mere laadle ko nahi liya i'll call a Freaking press conference.

Yuvi's dad Yograj is an idiot and is known to make ridiculous comments. He's also very well known to the police, has been arrested numerous times and was jailed for 6 months in 2004.

Yograj is still bitter about his own cricket career and has a massive chip on his shoulder about this. I feel sorry for Yuvi - stuff like this must embarrass him.

You started your career as a cricketer. Why did you move to films?
It is a very sad story and I still feel bad about it. I had an injury while playing and because of that I was forced to retire from international cricket. There was lot of politics involved and it became a very murky situation.

However, cricket still is my first love. I eat, sleep and dream cricket. I run a cricket academy in Chandigarh and that is why I spend two weeks in a month there. Life without cricket is not possible for me.

But you have not had a very good relation with Yuvi...
Yes. We had some differences but all that is sorted out now. We are very close to each other now. He is fulfilling the dreams I had in cricket. I want Yuvraj to be a legend in the cricketing world and take revenge for all the injustice that has been done to me in the world of cricket.
:)))

ograj recalled that how his cricketing career had been cut short "because of someone who did not wish to see me progress".

When asked if he feels that history was repeating itself now that Yuvraj too had been ignored and his recent and past contributions overlooked, Yograj said, "After all, there is justice in God's court. Even mighty rulers who had great false pride one day had to bite the dust".

"I promise you that when my son retires, I will reveal it all (the injustices meted out to him)," he said.

Yograj is an idiot. For those who don't know, Yuvi's parents got seperated pretty early in his life - and he was brought up by his mom.

His father, a failed cricketer, merely uses his son to get media attention.

Yograj has embarrassed Yuvi.

Yograj must be happy that his son is making millions in just 2 months of IPL. Heck, Yuvi might make a comeback into ODI or T20 team soon.

UV's parent are cringe-worthy. His mother has also embarrassed him and argued with Kapil Dev IIRC and compared UV to Sir Viv Richards.

UV is a celebrity and his parents milk his popularity, his mother pushed him to superstition instead of proper Cancer treatment.

He was a good father figure in Bhag Milkha Bhaag. In real life he is just spewing venom, i am glad media didnt take his side. this is not the time to disturb the team

Yuvraj's father is a bit crazy to be honest.

Yuvraj said in an interview that he hated his dad for the longest time because he was very abusive during his childhood. He forced Yuvraj to play cricket when Yuvraj was into other sports like tennis. He forced him to the point where people called him Hitler and thought he might kill his son one day because he was so tough on him.

Yograj is a known nutcase.

Yuvraj indirectly said so himself in an interview.

He criticized Dhoni but didn't abuse him. Can someone pick up Yuvraj Singh's last 10-15 scores for India in international cricket? His performance in the T-20 WC final sealed his fate. It is very clear after chemo he is no longer the same player he used to be.

Just another Indian father trying to live vicariously through his children. He failed when he had the chance so, like a slaver, he forces his kids to achieve his dreams for him. The height of selfishness and sadly too common in our society.

Yeah its not an original story, I am sure many kids go through that in the Asain continent due to the culture.

I remember there was a bollywood movie that had pretty much the same story line. It starred Sunil Shetty dont remember the movie's name though.

Yes, I remember seeing it too. Just searched, and it was called Ehsaas

The captain does have a big say over team selection. If Dhoni felt that Yuvraj was not required then that's just the way it is. The old guy in the video should just accept it instead of cursing the Indian captain.

So only Pakistan team has drama ?

Was already posted in the Time Pass section three days ago.

oh okay so other people are having issues, so its fine we are having issues

10/10 logic

Very different from ex players, current players all throwing tantrums in the media

Well this is different. Its not a drama by team players or staff.

Its non team member, just like no one cares what Afridi's daughters or Misbah's mother says , no one should care what UVs father says. He is just a angry and sad father.

BTW he was a better father in Bhag milkha bhag.

My Indian friends are trying tooth and nail to put a spin on it and maintain that this is not inappropriate, however the fact remains, that it actually is.

And obviously Yuvraj is going to say what he said even if he agrees with his father. It is unfortunate that we try to pretend that everything is fine on our side of the fence despite clear evidence of it being otherwise.

Next you will all be telling me that there has never been a dispute within the Indian dressing room, or an unsavoury media situation..

People need to look beyond their nationalism and patriotism!

Ex players drama : Vinod kambli blaming Tendulkar for not helping him out. Calling the 96 WC game fixed

Now i will be told that it was an isolated event, Kambli is a loose cannon and what not.

Playing 11 and coach drama : I can recall the Ganguly-Chappel rift and all of it coming out in the media.

The point of highlighting this is to emphasise that people need to realize that all has, is and will probably not be as shiny as they would make people believe.

Certain people will behave irrationally regardless of the nationalities because people just do.

The difference is that in India, all this dies down fast.

There will be a forum thread, some 50-100 replies and that's that.

And such instances are super rare.

Go to any Indian channel or FB, twitter and people aren't harping about it. They will discuss it for a few days and that's it.

calm down. Nobody said Indian cricket doesn't have any drama, or any other nations for that matter. Every cricket follower knows about the alleged altercation between Clarke vs Hussey/Katich. People were generally questioning why it usually happens with such high frequency in Pak cricket. Nobody is insulting Pakistan the country.

I am as calm as can be, and I totally agree with your point that this will happen across the globe, despite many people trying to imply otherwise. That was the entire point of this thread as evident by the title.

what makes you think Pakistani are happy about in-fighting in the team? we have been tortured a lot. Thinking about switching alliance to new corner tigers, the new team green, The Irish :)

When did I say Pakistanis are happy about it?

I said in India, its rare and it dies down fast.

In Pakistan, it isn't rare and it doesn't die down fast plus one issue leads to another.

Yuvraj post cancer treatment:

ODIs: 2,9,23,61,32,30,3,0,7,0,0,12,16,28,55,0. He picked up 2 wickets at 89. During this period he had a batting strike rate of 78 to go along with an average of 18.

He's done significantly better in T20i's though however that T20 final was just horrific.

Feel sorry for Yuvraj. His father is becoming a media spectacle. He is embarrassing Yuvraj more than anyone else.

No wonder his wife left him long time ago. He was never there when UV was growing up and now wants to make his life harder. He looked sane in Bhag milkha bhag with clean shaven, then he looked a bit cracked in his last interview and bit of beard, and now with bigger beard he lost a bit more. I wonder what happens when he grows it further.

Imagine how humiliated Yuvraj feels because of him. The guy is a nutcase of epic proportions!

Dhoni is arrogant, will beg one day:Yograj Singh

NEW DELHI: Yograj Singh, father of Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, rued his son's exclusion from the ICC World Cup 2015 and blasted skipper MS Dhoni saying there will be a day when he will be left to beg and become penniless and would not get any favour.*

"Dhoni was nothing. He has become a God in cricket just because of media. Media has crowned him as a great which he never deserved", Yograj told a news channel.*

"There was a time when he had nothing but today he sits in front of media and rips off the media persons. He laughs at media who has given him so much hype. He laughs at the Indian people who clap when he scores a run," Yograj said.*

"Honestly, if I were a media person, I would have slapped Dhoni right there", Yograj said.*

Yuvraj, who helped India to win the 2011 World Cup, was ignored by the selectors for the World Cup.*

Yuvraj's father also compared Dhoni with Ramayana's mythological villain Ravana.*

"Dhoni is arrogant. The way Ravana's proud came to an end, Dhoni will also suffer some day. He considers himself much above Ravana," Yuvraj's father said.*

"I feel really ashamed when other cricketers come and tell me about Dhoni. Earlier, I used to think that people must be cribbing about Dhoni due to jealousy. But when the cricketers told me about him, I think I have never seen a terrible person like him ever in my life," he added.*

Criticising Dhoni, Yograj said, "In the 2011 final, Yuvraj was going to bat but Dhoni stopped him and went to bat and became a hero. Why didn't he bat at No. 4 this time? Why did he go at No. 6? If he considers himself great, then he should have batted at No. 6 and guided India to a win against the Aussies.

Yograj Singh needs help. Can't believe even a 14 crore IPL contract couldn't help Yograj Singh in recovering from this condition.

Yuvraj has been through a lot in his life, but his father should be very careful when branding anyone 'arrogant'.

Terrible comments.

Not sure whats his beef with Dhoni is but through his idiotic public comments, Yuvi's dad is only making things worse for him.

This time he went too far. Yuvraj may say he has nothing to do with this as much as he wants but it won't make his next encounter with Dhoni any less awkward. I can understand being passionate about your son but this guy is a moron and a drunk and is clearly delusional. Yuvraj's international career is over. He single-handedly lost India the T20 WC in Bangladesh.

"Main agar media main hota toh main rakhhh ke chanta maarta iskay moo pai" :))) :)))

"If I was in the media I would've slapped him really hard"

Trouble is brewing in the India camp. Lets watch and enjoy uorselves boys!:snack:
