Good that he has been given a go in 4 day cricket as well and that too in the current domestic structure which is as tough as it gets. He will learn with his struggles in the format and that will make him into a better bowler.

A lot of errors take place especially in the broadcast in terms of type of bowler, batsmen as well as age. I have seen this number of times, data is easily available of PCB's website as well as other sites so there is no excuse for such things to happen.

I went for Under 19 regional trials and got selected but I got limited opportunities due to over-age players getting chances ahead of me".

Also not to forget that unlike Naseem, Musa, Shaheen and Hasnian who have been training at the national academy and under the supervision of other coaches for couple of years, Akif has just come under the radar. He is pretty new to the game as he wasnt even part of the junior teams like the names mentioned so obviously he is raw however, he has got a lot of potential which just needs to be refined which I am sure will be as he is in the radar now so he will be worked upon in national academy and will get opportunities to play domestic cricket and might even get a chance in PSL too.

He should probably play 2nd XI red ball at the moment to get used to it. Playing 1XI might be a bit too much for him right now, it adds a lot of pressure given he has never played red ball cricket.

Donovan Miller is IU's bowling coach. Guy is a coaching prodigy as he became a coach when he was only 20 and now he is 41. Was the head coach of Vancouver Knights and Jozi Stars.
