[VIDEOS] Fact check: Attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh were not religiously driven

If Yogi is advocating for CCTV cameras in all religious buildings then it would be similar to what I'm saying.

If just mosques then it shows his bigoted mentality.
U were also primary advocating anti india banners for temples rt since u don't trust them .most of the other temples.have cc cameras by default

Bangladesh is a gone case...it is going in the direction of Pakistan and Afghanistan. I said it on the day Haseena fled the country that Islamists will take over. As we all know wherever Islamists have taken over a nation, you can expect mysogeny and silencing minorities. This is exactly what is happening in Bangladesh. Another one of those progressive nation taken back to medieval ages thanks to lunatics.

However, one thing I would mention here though...unlike Pakistan or Afghanistan which has Punjabi, Pashtoon and Pathans, Bangladesh has bengali genes. I am very well aware how it works...so little bit of resistance from hindus there and a bit help from our army, they will shy away. Bengalis are meant to be eating copious amount of rice and taking afternoon nap with pot belly, fighting is not their forte. A loud shout and they will back off.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose gave the Brits a bloody nose, when rest of the political leaders of India were busy supporting Brits in the world war.

I am not even going into how many Brits were downed by the Bengali revolutionaries.

But yes Bangladeshis have no stomach to fight. 90k pakistanis were slaughtering them while rest 10cr kept watching.

Do attacks on minorities happen in Bangladesh? It happens sometimes. It is not nice and I hope authorities will look into it. I and most Bangladeshis condemn attacks on innocent people.

But, Indian posters act like these things don't happen in their country. LOL. India probably have these issues far worse.

Minorities and women are unsafe in India. There are always threats from rapists, cow vigilante mobs, RSS groups etc.

Do you mean India is a gone case? LOL.

Anyway, don't worry about Bangladesh. Bangladeshis do not need validations from Indians.

I am not worrying about Bangladesh but my fellow hindus there. Just like how you care about Palestanian muslims.

Obviously I went little overboard with that post of mine but it was mostly to rile up my fellow Bangladeshi posters. :yk

Love Netajee Subhas to the bits...much much better than Gandhi.

Are you keeping up with the news? It is not only attacking hindus but stopping them from practicing their faith by denying idol immersion etc. How can authorities take action when your govt itself making such rules? How would you feel is muslims are banned from slaughtering animals during Bakr Eid in India?

Minorities are treated as gutter level citizens in Bangladesh. That's the truth.

Bloggers who were secular used to be killed in BD.

What threats? Bangladesh is far worse than India.

Tripura intellectuals form organisation to protest violence against minorities in Bangladesh

The ‘Forum for Protection of Minorities in Bangladesh’ said it will hold a rally in Agartala city on Sunday to protest against the atrocities.

A group of authors, intellectuals, and journalists in Tripura formed an organisation called ‘Forum for Protection of Minorities in Bangladesh’ Friday to protest against the recent attacks on minorities in the neighbouring country.

Speaking to reporters, Jayanta Bhattacharya, president of Agartala Press Club and author, said, “Whenever there is instability in Bangladesh, Hindus and other minorities are attacked. There is no connection between the anti-quota movement in Bangladesh and attacks on minorities. So, why are the attacks happening against minorities in the Chittagong Hill Tracts?”

Bhattacharya also claimed that the spirit of the 1971 Liberation War has been damaged in Bangladesh and an anti-India hysteria is being fomented in the neighbouring country.

The Forum said it will hold a rally in Agartala city on Sunday to protest against the atrocities. It has also prepared a ‘protest message’ condemning the violence in Bangladesh and will send it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus.

Indians over here spreading false info based on Indian media, which is considered to be one of the worst media in the world with a reputation of spreading false propaganda.

If you guys want to live in the land of lies and propaganda, then it is your choice, but don't come around to tell us to believe them as well or to quote them like reference.

Bangladesh has come out from a bloody revolution two months ago and few hindus were attacked in the aftermath of the Hasina fall. But never to the extend that you and your media has spread. Else the world would have reacted against us, but no protest came from the world leaders against the so called minority abuse in Bangladesh. This proved that they have seen through the Indian lies and decided things are not as serious as Indian are making it out.

The very revolution which have taken almost 1500 lives including many lives of hindus, Indians have got no knowledge about it at all due to the failure of their media, else this false sense of Bangladesh has got no stomach to fight would spread among them.

The entire nation especially students has fought against the armed police and all the ruling parties activists with absolute bare hands, and the entire world have seen and acknowledge them. But the Indians are living in their own falsehood.

Joe Biden stated in a news release that "they too should do more" if the students could make such a great sacrifice for their nation.

Why won’t US support the the new government, they literally caused the coup to happen. They did the same in Pakistan.
Protests happen everywhere the Army doesn’t throw out the PM unless there is enough NATO backing.

US supporting BD proves nothing lol on contrary Biden hugging Yunus like that only points to the original point.

@smkk here from the Americans themselves, this is common practice by American governments they did the same in India in 1970s.

By installing an interim civilian government made up of only “advisers,” the coup leaders have not only forestalled U.S.-led sanctions but also helped foster a romanticized Western media narrative of a student-led “revolution” in the country.

The appointment of Muhammad Yunus as the “chief adviser,” or the head of the interim administration, has only helped mask military rule. The 84-year-old Yunus, a longtime friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton, received the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for pioneering microcredit, or giving small loans to rural families to help alleviate poverty.

No difference, I’m saying Hasina should be thrown out, not one post you will see otherwise from me, my point is the romanticised version where apparently the Students did this without help of Army /America.

Also that opinion article is not by me.. but it echoes my opinion and i have given the reasons everywhere as to why I have that opinion.

It’s similar to my opinion of US’s help to Israel and then playing dumb..

So let me ask you directly, you don’t think America is involved here in any capacity correct?

So let me ask you directly, you don’t think America is involved here in any capacity correct?

No, I do think that America is involved, but not to the extend that you guys are making out to be.

America has no involvement starting the revolution, as initial revolution with same agenda started at 2018. That time this was pacified by scrapping the quota as a whole. This started again when Govt. backed Supreme court re-instated the quota system again. Do you imply that Govt. itself was inspired by America to re-instated the very agenda which brought it's own downfall ?

After the revolution start, for the first few weeks it was absolutely peaceful with no violence occurs. Then Hasina sparked huge controversy by stating that the revolutionaries are razakar. Until then everything was in control. But after this point, everything started going downhill for Hasina govt as student's rage and revolution went to another level. Do you imply that Hasina was inspired by America to make such irresponsible remark ?

Even then the revolution could be contained by police had the govt did not unleash their student organization and other ruling party organization to start violence against the student who were protesting. After that point, the peaceful revolution transform into a civil war, where fights breaks out in the street of Dhaka between two parties. Do you imply that Govt was suggested by America to crack down on the students violently ?

Even then things could have been cooled down since the population of Bangladesh did not came down to street in support of the students, but then govt ordered the police to start shooting on the protesting students. After this point, there was looking back by the entire population of Bangladesh. Even after scrapping the quota system in favor of students by the Supreme court, the entire population came down in support of overthrowing the govt. Do you imply that America told Hasina to start shooting on the children of Bangladesh after which she became the most hatred person in the country ?

The revolution was organic from start to end. You can say that America might have pushed Dr. Younis to be the head of the interim govt, other than that they did not and could not orchestrated the entire revolution on their own, else 1500 lives would not have been lost so easily. Otherwise they could have overthrown the govt right after the very first day when shooting started. But fighting keeps on going and death were piling up for many more days to come.

Idol worship an eyesore to Bangladeshi islamists. Durga Puja to be toned down this year

Manindra Kumar Nath, vice president of the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad, said Hindus are afraid of celebrating Durga Puja as they did before.

As Islamic radicals in Bangladesh protest against the biggest religious festival for minority Hindus, will Durga Puja become a tepid affair this year? While the Muhammad Yunus administration has promised protection to pandals and devotees, Hindu community leaders worry that open display of their religiosity may soon become a thing of the past.
Durga Puja celebrations were not safe even in Sheikh Hasina’s Bangladesh. Hardly a year passed without some attack on puja pandals or idols. For the radicals, whom Hasina failed to rein in, idol worship remained an eyesore and the countrywide festivity around Durga Puja a direct attack on their idea of Bangladesh.

---
---

@The Bald Eagle - can you pls fact check this? Is this not religious driven?

Bangladesh government should ensure extra security for the devotees and make sure this festival is bigger than ever and goes ahead uninterrupted.

That's the best way to show the intolerant people attacking Hindus what the government will be like going forward.

If the event is cancelled then it's clear it's a hostile environment for Hindus.

'Systematic pattern of desecration': India slams attacks, theft at Hindu temples in Bangladesh

India on Saturday expressed serious concern over the attacks and theft on Hindu temples and pandals in Bangladesh during the Durga Puja festival. Reportedly, a fire bomb was thrown at a temple in Dhaka's Tantibazar creating panic among the devotees. A theft was also reported at a Kali temple in Bangladesh during the ongoing celebrations.

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in a statement requested the Dhaka government to ensure the safety and security of Hindus and minorities in the country.

MEA had termed the incidents as "deplorable" and said these follow a "systematic pattern of desecration" of temples in Bangladesh.

"We have noted with serious concern the attack on a Puja mandap in Tantibazar, Dhaka and the theft at the revered Jeshoreshwari Kali temple at Satkhira," the MEA said.

Reportedly, the incident took place on Friday and five people were injured during the chaos.

Friday marked the ninth and the last day of Navratri.

"These are deplorable events. They follow a systematic pattern of desecration and damage to temples and deities that we have witnessed over several days now," MEA said.

"We call upon the government of Bangladesh to ensure the safety and security of Hindus and all minorities and their places of worship, especially during this auspicious festival time," it added.

A Goddess Kali crown gifted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a famous temple in Bangladesh in 2021 was stolen. India had urged the government to recover the stolen crown.

The crown, made of silver and gold-plated, was stolen from the Jeshoreshwari temple in Satkhira's Shyamnagar.

A probe has been launched into the incident.

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka said, "We express deep concern and urge the government of Bangladesh to investigate theft, recover the crown, and take action against the perpetrators. "

Meanwhile, 17 people have been arrested in connection with around 35 violent incidents related to Durga Puja celebrations this month, said Bangladesh police.

Hindus Rally In Bangladesh To Demand Protection Against Violence, Legal Safeguards For Religious Minorities

Thousands of minority Hindus rallied on Saturday (2 November) to demand protection from the Muhammad Yunus led interim government for minority religions in Muslim-majority Bangladesh against a wave of attacks and threats after Sheikh Hasina's ouster in August.

They also demanded the Bangladesh government to drop sedition charges against Hindu community leaders.

The removal of Hasina on August after a student-led uprising saw a spate of reprisals on Hindus, who were seen as supporters of her government which had largely followed a secular style of functioning.

The caretaker government that replaced her, led by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, has failed to prevent such attacks on Hindus and other minorities.

In the months since, ongoing protests by Hindus have asserted that such attacks persist, pressing Yunus' administration—referred to as an "advisory council" responsible for enacting democratic reforms and organising new elections—to take swift action.

"It's deeply regrettable that the council of advisors do not acknowledge the sufferings minorities have endured," Hindu civic leader Charu Chandra Das Brahmachari was quoted as saying by AFP.

"I have witnessed the atrocities against them -- their temples, businesses, and homes," he added.

The organisers of the protest have called on the interim government to pass legislation to protect religious minority groups and mandate a minimum share of minority representation in government, among other demands.

Adding to the tension, sedition charges were filed this week against 19 people who took part in an earlier rally for minority rights in Chittagong, a port city in Bangladesh.

Authorities accused the group of dishonoring the Bangladeshi national flag by raising a saffron flag—representative of Hinduism—above it.

"Framing our leaders with false charges, like sedition, has made us sceptical of the government's intentions," protest member Chiranjan Goswami was quoted as saying by AFP.

In Bangladesh, a predominantly Muslim nation, Hindus represent the largest minority group, comprising roughly eight percent of the population.

Swatantra Gouranga Das Brahmachari, a coordinator of Sanatan Jagaran Mancha, at the rally said that the members of law enforcement agencies were obstructing people coming to the rally.

Gouranga Das said they will submit a memorandum to the chief advisor Yunus through the deputy commissioners of 64 districts demanding for the withdrawal of the case on Sunday.

"We will go for a tougher programme if the case is not withdrawn by Monday," he warned.

He said BNP general secretary of the port city's Mohora ward unit Firoj Khan filed the case on Wednesday, adding, "BNP has already expelled him from the party on charges of acting against the norms and ideology of the party", Daily Star newspaper reported.

"That means, BNP has understood that Firoj was trying to hamper the peaceful situation of the country by creating an untoward situation," he said, adding, "After his expulsion from the party, is there any moral basis for the case?"

Bangladeshi forces crack down on Hindus in Chittagong after post sparks unrest

Tensions escalated in Bangladesh’s port city of Chittagong as security forces launched a massive crackdown on the minority Hindu community following clashes sparked by a social media post.

The incident unfolded in the Hazari Gali area on November 5, when a member of the radical Islamic group Jamat-e-Islami, Osman Ali, posted derogatory remarks against the Hindu religion and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) on social media.

In response, Hindu residents gathered outside Ali’s shop to protest the offensive post, leading to clashes between the two communities. The situation further deteriorated when security forces, including the Bangladesh Army, were deployed to restore order.

Exiled Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen shared a video of the crackdown on X (formerly Twitter), writing, "Hazari Lane, Chittagong today. Hindus vs Military."

The footage showed scenes of chaos, with security personnel clashing with civilians, chasing them and hitting them with batons. According to local media outlet Prothom Alo, blank rounds were fired into the air to disperse the crowd. Some officers were reportedly seen dismantling CCTV cameras.

Responding to the incident, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson, Randir Jaiswal urged the Bangladesh government to take strong measures to ensure the safety of Hindus.

"It is understood that there are extremist elements who are behind such posts and such illegal criminal activities. This is bound to create further tensions in the community. We yet again urge the Government of Bangladesh to take strong measures to ensure the safety of Hindus and to take action against extremist elements,"Jaiswal said.

Meanwhile, a senior official in the Chittagong Metropolitan Police said officers faced significant resistance, with protestors allegedly throwing bricks and acid. Nine officers were injured, including one with acid burns.

As of Tuesday, authorities had filed a case naming 582 people, with 49 of them arrested, the Dhaka Tribune reported.

Meanwhile, Hindu community leaders accused security forces of unfairly targeting Hindu residents, alleging that authorities conducted indiscriminate attacks, despite the involvement of members from both communities.

Hazari Gali, a historically Hindu-dominated business area, remains under heavy surveillance, and many residents are reportedly unable to leave due to ongoing operations. There were also reports of police conducting door-to-door searches in the area.

This latest conflict comes amid broader concerns for the safety of minorities in Bangladesh and follows a broader pattern of violence against Hindus in the wake of Sheikh Hasina's ouster. Hindus, who make up about 8 per cent of the population and are the largest minority group, have historically supported Hasina's Awami League party.

The interim government, led by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, has condemned the attacks and pledged to work with community leaders to ensure the safety of Hindus.

Isn't he the appointed head of Bangladesh now by Grandpa Biden? What is he condemning? His own military that is giving an **** whooping to ISKON followers? This is funny.

Yunus is in a fix. Trump is coming to power and his friends the Clintons cannot help him now.

Yunus has previously made uncharitable remarks on Trump.

Sheikh Hasina slams Hindu monk's arrest in Bangladesh: Anarchist activities

Deposed Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday condemned the murder of a lawyer in Chittagong and the arrest of Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, demanding his immediate release. Hasina, who fled to India following violent student protests in August, said several opposition leaders and students were being assaulted and arrested, and called for an end to such "anarchist activities".

"A top leader of the Sanatan religious community has been unjustly arrested. He must be released immediately. A temple has been burnt in Chittagong. Previously, mosques, shrines, churches, monasteries and homes of the Ahmadiyya community were attacked, vandalised and looted and set on fire. Religious freedom and security of life and property of people of all communities should be ensured," Hasina said in a statement released by her Awami League.

On Tuesday, a lawyer, identified as assistant public prosecutor Saiful Islam, was killed during violent clashes between the security forces and followers of Chinmoy Krishna Das, the police said. The protest broke out after Das was denied bail by the Chittagong court in a sedition case.

Calling for justice, she said, "I am expressing strong protest against this murder. Those involved in this murder will have to be found and punished quickly."

Sheikh Hasina accused the Muhammad Yunus-led interim government, which she described as having unconstitutionally seized power, of failing to protect human rights. “Human rights have been severely violated through this incident,” she said. “A lawyer had gone to fulfil his professional duties, and he was beaten to death in this manner. They are terrorists. Whoever they are, they will be punished,” she added.

She warned the government of consequences if justice is not served. “If the government, which has unconstitutionally seized power, fails to punish these terrorists, then it will also have to face punishment for violating human rights,” she said.

Sheikh Hasina urged citizens to unite against violence and insecurity. “I appeal to the countrymen; everyone should stand against this kind of terror. Stand united,” she said. “It is important to ensure the safety of life and property of common people. The present power grabbers are showing failure in every field.”

Sheikh Hasina further criticised the government for its handling of security and law enforcement. “After killing countless Awami League leaders, students, and public and law enforcement officers, terrorism is done through assault, case, and arrest,” she said. “I strongly condemn and protest against the plaintiff's actions.”

On Monday, the police arrested Das from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport as he was about to travel to Chattogram to join a rally.

Chinmoy Das' arrest has also ignited a diplomatic rift between India and Bangladesh. The government on Tuesday condemned the attacks on minorities who had gathered to protest Das's arrest. "We have noted with deep concern the arrest and denial of bail to Shri Chinmoy Krishna Das," the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement.

Chinmoy Das's arrest has triggered massive protests from the Hindu community, which has faced over 200 attacks since the fall of Sheikh Hasina's Awami League government on August 5.

Attacking temples and breaking idols. But some say the attacks on Hindus has nothing to do with their faith :genius

After Chinmoy Das, Another Hindu Priest Arrested In Bangladesh Amid Protests: Report

Days after the arrest of spiritual leader Chinmoy Krishna Das, another Hindu priest was allegedly arrested in Bangladesh’s Chattogram on Saturday. The priest, identified as Shyam Das Prabhu, reportedly went to meet Chinmoy Das in jail.

International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Kolkata’s Vice-President and spokesperson Radharaman Das shared the picture of the young priest and claimed that he has been arrested.

“Does he look like a terrorist? #FreeISKCONMonks Bangladesh. The arrest of innocent #ISKCON brahmacharis are deeply shocking & disturbing," he said in the X post.

It is undoubtedly religious and faith based violence.

But I'm surprised at how little Indias role as an agitator is being considered here too.

They pretty much caused this mess but all we have seen in return is lots of rhona dhona, prayers for Papa Trump to arrive and calls to stop playing cricket with Bangladeshis

India supported Hasina. She may be corrupt or brutal on her opponents. But under her government BD progressed massively. She gave BD stability at the center and the textile industry flourished there. For being nice to India, India also did not compete with BD for textile exports.

India does not want another enemy at the eastern border. With hasina gone, the hostility and war of words can already be seen. The safety of minorities in BD is the pressing concern for India. BD has 13 million Hindus and a million more Buddhists and Christians. India does not want all of them to come in as refugees.

BD is an independent nation and they can become an Islamic republic if they want. Nobody has any say over what BD people want. India’s concern is only about refugees and safety of minorities. So far it is proven that they will not be safe there. Only time will tell how this whole situation pans out.

I doubt they will be left alone even if they convert to Islam. Their loyalty will always be questioned. It can take 1 or 2 generations for the question mark to die slowly.

Whatever prejudice they may face, it will be mild compared to what they will face as hindus. Seriously, no point clinging to a religion if that is the only thing making you the other. Bengal may have been hindu majority some centuries ago, but the time to protect their religion was at that time maybe, but not now. Now is the time to move on. Become the majority by converting to Islam.

Very practical.

However, I feel there should be a repatriation of Bengali Muslims in India and Bangladeshi Hindus. Once for all the exchange of populations needs to be done. It may be 50 yrs late. But better late than never.

Pot calling the kettle black? Mr. Ashok Swain should focus on his own country (India) where women often get raped and minorities often get attacked. It is far worse in India than in any other subcontinental country.

Having said that, if any innocent minority is being harassed/harmed in Bangladesh, I definitely condemn it. Innocent people should be left alone.

Is that why the Hindu population in AFG/PAK/BD/KASHMIR all put together is in single digit % whereas muslim population in India is almost equal to Pak muslim population ?

(Now run away ... tail legs between)

I agree ... infact India is in need of one more partition .... this time COMPLETE Population exchange and friggin seal the border. I cant believe how stupid our leadership was around the time of independence to have not seen this coming.

Often get raped? You are talking like Rapes do not happen in other countries. Before you accuse India of rapes, check your own country's rapes. Your country's rape rate is 9.82 where as India is 1.8.

While any rape is deplorable, your constant pointing fingers at India makes no sense and I had to show you the mirror. Look at the gang rapes happening in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh

Bangladesh has 11,682 incidents per 100,000 people among the total population with 9.82 rape rate. According to the local human rights organization Ain-o-Salish Kendra (ASK), between January and September 2020, at least 975 rape cases were reported in Bangladesh, including 208 gang-rapes.

India

The number of rape incidents in India in per 100,000 citizens is 22,172 as of 2020 with 1.80 rape rate. According to the local human rights org, according to World Population Review data. India recorded an average of 87 rape cases daily in 2019.

Regarding minorities getting attacked in India, they are still much safer in India than Bangladesh. You see no refugees queuing up at the border to cross over to BD. But Hindus, Buddhists and Christians want to desperately cross over into India.

Mamata Banerjee Wants UN Force In Bangladesh, Says PM Modi Must Intervene

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday called for a United Nations peacekeeping force be deployed in Bangladesh and demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's personal intervention to secure the safety of religious minorities in the violence-hit neighbouring nation.
Ms Banerjee's demands come amid reports that at least three Hindu priests - from the International Society for Krishna Consciousness - have been arrested in civil unrest that has roiled Bangladesh since August, when a student-led rebellion forced Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to stand down and the Army took over, before an interim government was installed.

"We have families... properties... and loved ones in Bangladesh. We accept whatever stance the Government of India takes on this...but we condemn atrocities on religious grounds anywhere in the world and appeal to the union government, and the Prime Minister, to intervene," she said.

Addressing the Bengal Assembly, Ms Banerjee said she had spoken to the chief of the ISKCON's Kolkata unit to extend her sympathies and support, and stressed, "If Indians are attacked in Bangladesh, then we cannot tolerate it. We can bring back (repatriate) our people from there."

"The Government of India can take this matter up with the United Nations... so a peacekeeping force can be sent to Bangladesh," Ms Banerjee thundered.

The Bengal Chief Minister said she was not seeking to interfere with the internal affairs of another country, but pointed out that when Bangladeshi fishermen had mistakenly entered Indian waters, or when a Bangladeshi trawler had capsized, her government had "rescued them and treated them (well)".

I think UN should send a peacekeeping force in India to save Kashmiris from the atrocities of Indian army. Indian Muslims also need protections from cow vigilante mobs.

India seem desperate to want their agent Hasina back in BD.

As you can see in the image below, ISKCON disrespected BD flag. That's what the arrest was about (along with causing civil unrest).

A lawsuit has been filed on charges of insulting the national flag by hoisting the Gerua flag of hardliner Hindu religion ISKCON above Bangladesh’s national flag atop the Independent Monument in Chattogram’s New Market area.

If flag is disrespected, prosecute the ones that did it. Attacking temples and destroying the idols is pathetic. I see you conveniently forgot to point out that fact.
To be honest, your logic is correct and obvious one but why your brethren here forget it while defending massacre of 200000 for a cow?

200,000? Can you point to any credible source as to where you got those stats from?

The Cow you are talking about is considered sacred and given a mother status in Hinduism. So don't causally say that it is just another animal in India. There are laws for its protection. However, anyone who takes law into his own hands to deliver mob justice should be prosecuted and punished if found guilty.

We have a whole thread on it.

ISKCON are causing problems in Bangladesh. See below:

  • Amit Saha, who was given life imprisonment for the murder of Abrar Fahad, was a member of the organisation.[83][84]
  • On 5 November 2024, clashes were reported in Chattogram, Bangladesh between members of ISKCON and Bangladeshi law enforcement, including the police, army, and border guards.[85] The unrest began following a Facebook post by Osman Ali, a local shop owner, calling for a ban on ISKCON. In response, a group of ISKCON supporters allegedly attacked Osman’s shop with the intent to harm him.[86]
Law enforcement intervened to rescue Osman Ali and his brother from the agitated crowd.[87] During the operation, the crowd allegedly turned on security forces, throwing bricks and acid while chanting "Jai Shree Ram."[88] The violence resulted in injuries to nine police officers and five army personnel. Osman's shop was destroyed, and neighboring businesses were damaged.[89]
In the aftermath, 82 individuals were arrested, with 49 facing formal charges. Osman Ali was also detained under blasphemy laws.[90]
  • In 26 November, 2024, Saiful Islam Alif, a lawyer at the Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Court, was killed[91] during a clash between security forces and protesters demanding the release of Hindu leader Chinmoy Krishna Das.[92][93][94]
According to eyewitness Kayes Uddin Didar, "advocate Alif was at the entrance of Rangan Community Center. He was taken from there and was hacked to death."[95] Senior lawyer Nurul Mostafa Sohel stated that "Alif went to the spot after being informed about an attack on a mosque. He was taken from there and was hacked dead."
The violence began when protesters obstructed a prison van carrying the former ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, demanding his release.[96][97][98]
According to Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Hasib Aziz, demonstrators threw bricks at the police, prompting officers to use tear gas and sound grenades in an attempt to disperse the crowd. This escalation occurred as tensions rose during the protests.[99] In retaliation, the protesters attacked nearby establishments, mosques and lawyers' vehicles.[100][101][102]
Among those linked to Saiful Islam Alif's death is Shuvo Kanti Das, alleged to be an active member of ISKCON and associated with the banned terrorist organization Bangladesh Chhatra League, student wing of the political party, Bangladesh Awami League.[103][104] Along with him around 30 suspects were detained in connection with the incident.[105][106][107]

We have a whole thread on it.

Threatening is not same as executing 200k people.
You posted as though 200k Muslims were killed over cow slaughter. Hence I asked for the stats.

Whoever made those threats needs to be put in prison. No physical violence threats should be tolerated.

Bangladesh seems like a basket case for now, lets see how Daddy Trump handles the Bangladeshi Army.

The Nobel Laureate turned out to be a closet Islamist. He is dancing to the tunes of extremists in BD.

I sincerely hope BD becomes an Islamic republic and follows the Islamic laws to the dot. Their people seem to want it. They should get it.

Why did you think it will be otherwise? Obama has a nobel.

But even defenders of verbal threat should be condemned and we have some here.

Any kind of threats be it physical and Verbal must be condemned.

Verbal threat still does not carry the same weight as an actual physical attack. Actions speak louder than words.

Do not try to make any sensible argument with such people.

A man threatened. Did nothing else.

How many have been killed by Muslims around the world? How many major terror attacks in how many countries? Do you have a count?

Some context

Muslims threw a cow head near a temple. Hindus wanted the police to take action. Local AAP leader tried to protect the muslim perpetrators. BJP got involved, threatened to take law into their hands.

Police forced to arrest the perps.

LOL, I might give a silly threat of destroying Mecca and turning it into ashes. And these people would probably call it worse than what Mahmud of Ghazni actually did to Hindu temples and monuments in India.

Actions > Empty Threats.

Such Mahmuds are common today. All they need is a majority and no law enforcement. Look at BD.

Presuming the Hindus don't want Islamic laws, would they be able to get refuge in India? Wasn't there some sort of decree a while back where all non-Muslims could apply for asylum in India if they felt threatened in some parts of the subcontinent?

This isn't cricket. You don't need to rely on SENA stats to show who is better or worse.

Hindus ( not Hinduism) are confined to one area and have made life hell for everyone around it and inside it for centuries.

This is an undeniable fact.

Modi has been immobilized and paralysed by what is happening in Bangladesh.

Apart from online rhonda dhona Indians have done nothing to help Bangladeshi Hindus.

It is a real tragedy that is befalling them because of the Indian government, who have now chickened out of the fight.

Hindus live all over the world. They aren't blamed for terrorist attacks around the world.

Muslims have been involved in most terror attacks of last few decades.

India doesn't directly intervene in affairs of another country.

It is a shame if anyone defended destruction of the holy places.

What these Bangladeshis are doing is inexcusable. It may be a minority blah blah blah but destroying temples, and holy places is an abominable crime.

This is not the way for any civilized person to behave.

The entire point of this thread was the attacks on hinuds were not religiously driven and this thread clearly shows it it. Shame on some peopl trying to cover up this.

Is rescuing Hasina not direct intervention?

They should raise the abuse of Hindu religion and places of worship at the highest possible level.

Hasina landed in India. India didn't send troops to rescue her. She is requesting political asylum here.
Guys please refrain from off topic stuff

Posters doing the same what this thread says is being done in BD and exposing such posters is off topic?

That Bangladeshi Iskcon priest's lawyer was assaulted.

But sure, according to Razakar Canadians and their sympathisers here, it is not religiously motivated at all.

So shipping Hasina to India gives BD extremists a free pass to abuse Hindus and desecrate temples? Are you okay?

Looks like for BD and Pakistan, India means only Hindus. They ignore 180 million Muslims and millions of other minorities.

They thought that the Muslim lawyer was part of Iskon and assaulted him. Poor guy.

Yes, convert into Islam, and get butchered by your fellow muslim converts, like what is happening in Pakistan. Nice idea.

No one gets butchered for converting to Islam in Pakistan. If you are going to divert the topic to Pakistan at least do a better job.

Too much BJP produced Bollywood.

Hindus lived under Muslim rule for over 1000 years. If the Muslims wanted India would have ZERO Hindus today.

Islam doesnt instruct to attack any religion but it also states God is ONE and can not be in any form of any idol , brick, statue etc.

This is not a religous issue. Bangladeshis are sick of Indian interfering. Indais puppet rule of this land is over.

Now India is using victim mentality and throwing its saffron toys out because it has no influence over Bangladesh now.
