He habitually gets tonked in the death overs. I never understood the myth of him being this death over specialist. The guy cannot handle an iota of pressure when faced with a dangerous hard hitting. People who blame Shaheen for the T20 WC QF defeat vs Australia are forgetting how Stoinos and Wade teed off on Rauf in that game.

Either the team management needs to change his role i.e. do away with his overs in the middle overs or drop him for better options.

Rauf and Shaheen must not be in scheme anymore for the next T20 world cup. Naseem can be backed for now along with few new fast bowlers- Abbas Afridi, Akif or even a rookie Ali Raza.

Hasnain should also be discarded.

I agree it's time to cut him and Naseem lose. Naseem needs hard yards in FC and can still come back if there is some real improvement. It's the end of the road for Haris. How hard is it to bowl the hard lengths on the 4th stump. The guy has no brain cells and bowls too many hittable balls.

But this is barely NZ main batting lineup. Seirfeit, sodhi and bracewell are not the players setting the world on fire.

"No doubt I have played many matches in this ground and I have an idea about the conditions here, the kind of boundaries there are, I was trying to hit shorts in the big pockets and I had this mindset..."

On teamwork and communication:
"...the way we were bowling by talking to each other on this wicket, whether it was Shaheen, Abbas or me, and the way our spinners were there, the messages were being passed on to each other..."

On reaching 200 white-ball wickets:
"...whether you take one wicket or thousand wickets for Pakistan, I think the feeling and meaning of it is that the whole community is watching you and it is a matter of respect that you are representing your country..."

Shaheen was still ok. He had Rizwan on locks in the powerplay. That’s where the game was initially lost by Multan because of Rizwan not even trying to maximise in the powerplay and later eating up 40 balls for 50 runs.

Whereas Rauf has just bowled pathetically to Rizwan in 2 games. 145kmh bowler getting belted for 3-4 sixes in the same region to a batter that has been WRITTEN OFF in T20s is shockingly poor bowling! Same length ball angling in to the same batsman! Rizwan is well known to be scared of proper bowlers and looks to maximise on the 5th/6th bowler to inflate his stats and sr, he even admitted this in the PCB Eid interview where he said him and Babar milk an ordinary bowler to later cash in on his over when the rr gets out of hand.

How is it that a batter as cowardly and pathetic as Rizwan feels no pressure whatsoever to just heaven you for six over midwicket every time and you are supposed to be the fastest bowler in Pakistan?!

I can absolutely gaurentee you that Rana Faheem Ashraf will bowl better to Rizwan than Harris Rauf has done in these two fixtures between Multan and Qalandars.
