I think he got a bit unlucky here as he has not found a place in the test squad for the South Africa tour. it was between him and Noman and Noman won the race because of his experience.

Guys i am quite upset and almost in tears how can you drop your best test spinner from test this is totally injustice should never happen who ever made this decision needs to be held accountable i think he has been dropped permanently which is sad plz discuss.

We’re not the official selectors but high chance he will be selected for home Tests and those on spin friendly tracks elsewhere in Asia.

And yet, it is difficult to digest why he has not been selected for Pakistan's Test squad for the South Africa tour of 2024-25

What more does he need to do to earn his place in the team regularly?

we have seen that South African wickets supporting more spin than pace these days, so PCB should have picked both Noman and Sajid for this tour as they were the match winners in the series against England.

My concern is this. Abbas the last time he played had batsmen walking down the track and easily nullifying any seam he had. So abbas at best was a containing option. Khurram is notoriously injury prone. Naseem also.

Noman and Sajid are a perfect spinning duo and can bat. They can contain and take wickets. Why on earth Sajid is not in the squad is making me pull out what little hair I have.

If you have an attack comprising saj and Noman with Jamal then then this is a solid attack you can then rotate your wicket taking seamers. But build around your best and proven performers rather than think Naseem or Mir Hamza will get you wickets just because they are seamers. South Africa deal with seamers like ours day in day out but not quality spin.

Sajid Khan makes unwanted history! He becomes the 1st Pakistani to be dropped from the next Test after winning the Player of the Series award.

Interestingly, Pakistan's red-ball coach Jason Gillespie is one of the seven individuals to have achieved this rare feat as a player!
