Another player who needs to have a good PSL to get himself noticed for the WT20 squad.

Actually I think he would fit our test team better. He can bat well at no.7 and provide a decent 5th bowling options to rest our young quicks.Gotten a wicket now. Agree with many, should've been kept in the LOI setup. He's a decent bowler and solid batsman.

Don't disagree honestly. But should have represent Pakistan more. Decent pace for a medium pace and reliable batter.
One of the most underrated cricketer in Pakistan setup right now, he should have been playing all SENA games instead of so called Al rounders
Really?
So, what's different about him that others TTFs don't have - like Anwar Ali, Bilawal Bhatti, Amad Butt, Faheem?
Is he Pandya class batsman? Can he hit fast bowlers at will, not just mid wicket slogs?
How many times have you seen him hit on the off side?
Is he exceptionally good medium pace trundler?
I think he gets passed over because he's not a fast bowler. But he does seem to get the ball to move off the seam and hits good lengths. People underrate genuine seam bowling skills in favour of fast bowlers who look flash but have no control or brains.
1. His batting isn't good enough. I'm willing to see more of that, if he's able to hit pacers, on the off side, and not just hoick it at the mid wicket/long on area.
2. Bowling is medium pace trundling. Many before him came, at a higher pace, impressed at first, but then disappeared.
With his pace, he's hittable. We have yet to see if he's accurate enough like M. Amir to not get hit. Let's see where he ends up in bowling.

His batting is way better than the hacks Faheem and Amad. Unlike them he has a solid technique and can also hit well. His bowling can be inconsistent but on present form it's again way better than Faheem and Amad. If we decide that we need a bowling all-rounder then he should certainly be at the top of the list.
He's done more good then bad in his bowling with the new ball.
His batting is easily better than Faheem.
He’s a genuine batsman who averages nearly 40 in first class. Much better bat than faheem and Amad
He’s useful with new ball. Genuine swing bowler
FC average doesn't matter. He can't play the role we need him for - allrounder, come in late, smash the bowlers in particular pacers.
By default, for any allrounder coming up in PAK, you should assume that they're not international class. They'll be bits and pieces, and won't be able to bat like we want them to.
Our specialist batters are OK, it's the late order hitters/allrounders we don't have.
Of course, all of you will say:
- He's better than Amad Butt
- He's better than Faheem
- He's better than Anwar Ali
- He's better than Bilawal Bhatti
Surprise - the same was said when each of the above names got a chance. They were hyped to the moon before their chances, did well in their first few matches, but then found out.
We don't have any quality allrounder and no, there's no compelling evidence to say Amir Yameen is better than all of them and will change our fortunes.
Of course, I'm willing to watch him bat more. And bowl.
But 99% chance he'll be like others.

Our batters baring Babar are not Ok at all
He can't be and will not be a specialist batsman.
He's an allrounder, or pretends to be one, and we need late order players.

He is intelligent crickter and has performed qhenver he has been given opportunity. Can be good in tsta and OFi.Not a reliable batter, can't take on the bowlers and hit them.
Bowling, he's a medium pace trundler, like others - Anwar Ali and Amad Butt. He has to be exceptionally good with his accuracy and lengths to be able to not get hit by international class batsmen.
So, is his medium pace trundling exceptional? We'll see.
Perhaps you should watch him bat and bowl a bit more, then pass judgement.
His technique is more suited for Odi and tests.

That means he must be a technically good batsman, and to be fair, the link you gave is a ODI match so he might have played according to the format.

Yes He is morw suited to ODIs.That means he must be a technically good batsman, and to be fair, the link you gave is a ODI match so he might have played according to the format.
Just wait till Misbah selects him.
Forget ODIs
He is more suited to test cricket at 7, our next two series are in England and NZ.

30-years-old today - is there still hope for him to make a name in international cricket?
This guy needs to be part of the test setup instead of that absolute clown Faheem.
The man should never have been dropped to begin with. Should be batting at 6 in all formats.

He's been called up for the Pakistan T20I squad versus South Africa.
He has 67 wickets in 84 T20s. Economy rate of 8.01
