[VIDEOS] Iftikhar Ahmed, the part time bowler and his utilization by Pakistan

He’s got to learn to finish. But when you’re 40 that’s hard. I’m not sure he’s the finisher we all make him out to be.

Magician Sir Ifti Hasaranga after Dismissing Don Kamran Bradman Ghulam in a Domestic T20 Match
🥴

His Frustrated look clearly Suggests He is Ready to Serve the National Side again for another Flop Performance

@Mohraheem any suggestion for chachu?

Iftimania has had a really good hair transplant. He could have been handy in NZ. He enjoys extra bounce in the pitch

Even at his old age he is million miles ahead of Samad

NZ is actually graveyard for spinners but somehow you think a 45 year old part-time bowler would have been "handy" :misbah :ROFLMAO:
According to this guy, everyone in Pakistan besides Babar and Rizwan are Kachra….but Iftikhar who proved he is rubbish during the national T20 cup isn’t Kachra lol

Top spin buddy. Have you had iftaar? I was referring to his batting
He can’t bat fluently on Pakistan roads

What are you on about? This is why I say you should watch cricket properly instead of making dumb, sweeping statements like ‘Kachra’!

I have never ever called any player kachra with half a decent domestic record. I am critical of Sharjeel and Asif Ali but I have never called them kachra.

I judge player based on domestic record. For example KG has failed off late but I have never been harsh to him. After all players like him deserve many chances.

Iftikhar should have been taken to NZ for T20Is. His strong backfoot game would have been useful here. Considering that next T20 WC is in Asia, we should move on from him now and focus on Sammad, Niazi, Khushdil etc.

Chacha bowls well in Asia but doesn't always bat well.

He bats well in SENA but his bowling is ineffective.

We should give him a farewell tour and if he does well then delay the farewell.

Oh wow, a hundred against Nepal? Quick, someone get the statue ready. Maybe even rename Gaddafi Stadium while we’re at it “Chacha Cricket stadium” has a nice ring to it, no?
This “farewell tour if he does well” logic is exactly why we’re stuck in the Misbah tuktuk era . Performances should earn spots, no flop performance. But hey, let’s keep handing out VIP passes to flop shows maybe one day we’ll win something… accidentally.

Why should a medicore player be given a farewell tour? Superstitions aside, if a player doesn't have good stats and hasn't achieved much in the history of the game then on what basis does he warrant a farewell tour.

90% of cricketing players from most nations never get farewell tours and this includes even world cup winners like James faulkner or Liam plunkett because deapite having good world cups they were overall medicore players.

Hardly anyone else gets it unless they've achieved something. Infact from the current sides I don't see anyone except a few getting farewell tours. Only exception is India since their marketing and PR ensures every tom dick and Harry no matter how medicore will get a farewell.

Australia

1) Steve Smith
2) Pat cummins
3) Starc
4) Hazlewood

^^ Only these 4 will get farewell tours, maybe Travis head will as well. No one else from the current crop including labu will get any sort of recognition. And the likes of Labu, Inglis, Carey are far better batsmen then chacha.

Chacha stands zero chance of any farewell tour.

What did he do to impress you ??

When you said "handy" and "enjoy the extra bounce on the pitch", it sounded like you were referring to his bowling.

He can cut and pull which makes him useful in Southern hemisphere. He has batting avg of 37 in Australia (in T20Is) where most Pakistanis struggle.

This NZ series should have been his farewell tour but now we should move on. Khushdil, Niazi and Sammad are better choices in Asia.

Why should a player who hasn't achieved much in international cricket be given a farewell tour?

James faulker won an entire cup for his country via his final performance in 2015 but he is a footnote in cricket, because he just isn't that good of a cricketer?

Greater players then chacha recieved no send offs yet you want him to get one?

Even from Pakistan, the players who got proper send offs were all greats of the game.

Even misbah who people hate atleast got a send off in test cricket due to his test captaincy but he didnt recieve one in odi or t20..he was booted out in an embarrassing fashion.

Had he not retired In 2015, he would have been forced out just like he was forced out in 2012 from t20. It was clear after that nasir jamshed × Sarfaraz drama misbah was getting the boot but he retired just to save face.

They all achieved something for a send off.

What did chacha achieve?

There is no compulsion for you guys to watch a fairwell tour if you find it so distressing.

I don't mean to give him farewell tour for the sake of it. Iftikhar had a higher chance of success in NZ owing to his strong backfoot game. He was a better option there than Khushdil.
