[VIDEOS] Karachi Crowd Watch!

And we want people to come to watch such performances?

Abysmal that a city of over 20 million cannot muster even 20,000 people to come to a cricket match. Then people start moaning that it is because of the cost of atta or because have to work, as if Karachi is the only city in the world with inflation, jobs, poverty etc. It is ridiculous - let's face it, the people of Karachi are not sports, arts, culture etc lovers.

Lol what’s your other option?

Lahore? Same city where you can’t see clearly more than a meter away due to the beautiful smog?

Since nowadays, stupidly, multiple test matches in a 2 or 3 test match series can be played in the same venue, then in this case, there should be no more test matches in Karachi. The two main test venues should be Rawalpindi and Multan.

However, in the case where it is not allowed for one venue to host two test matches of a series, then the third test venue should unfortunately be Karachi, if not then Lahore.

And there should also be no more ODIs played in Karachi. The three main ODI venues are Rawalpindi, Multan, Lahore simple as that.

So basically, Karachi should get maybe one or two T20i matches, and should be a home venue for Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against pitch invaders after the second ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi on Wednesday.

One of the pitch invaders met Mohammad Rizwan and hugged the wicketkeeper-batter, while the other was caught before he could meet Pakistan skipper Babar Azam.

I'm surprised there were fans in the stadium.

Looked empty in the first innings. Would have been easy to spot invaders.

Winning and losing is part of the game. Potentially losing is no excuse to simply not turn up to support your national team. The same people were lamenting about how there was no international cricket in Pakistan in the last decade or so. Now they don't even turn up for an ODI series against the a full-strength New Zealand side.

The simple fact is that people in Karachi in Lahore don't value international cricket. Which is why PCB should hold as less matches there as possible. Pindi and Multan always has good crowds. And Faisalabad and Peshawar would too if they got to see any matches.

Well a bit better crowd today, but still lots of empty seats.

Why are all the games at Karachi? Why not spread things around?

People will get bored and have less motivation to go the stadium.

A couple of students met Sethi appealing to him to reduce the prices or to make entry free for the PSL. He explained that the gate money goes to the Franchises therefore he can't make entry free for the PSL but he is going to give a 50% discount on PSL tickets in Karachi to students who are under 18. Let's see if that boosts ticket sales in Karachi

I know this isn't the strongest NZ touring side, but that crowd in Karachi today was embarrassing.

You have the likes of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Babar Azam out there - at least come out and watch and support those guys.
