Only Khushdil has been decent in this tournament so far, while Tayyab and Iftikhar have been out-performed by a considerable margin by other middle-order bats. Hussain Talat is with the national team, but he wouldn’t have been able to do much too.

We keep picking openers and play them in spots where you have to find the gaps for ones and twos if you can’t get the big hit. If so, you pick openers who have an appetite for big knocks and are considerably experienced, who can get their game going even if the circle doesn’t have a lot of fielders in. Instead you get the bonanza plan of batting an inexperienced Shamyl Hussain at number 3, when he has opened all his career. Yes, its still the top-order, but it requires a mindset shift, and expecting an extremely young player to do that while managing the intense pressure of international cricket is unfair.

You also have these great minds playing Fakhar and Usman at 5 and 6 respectively, where I doubt they had ever batted in their careers.

The only one who’s spot these morons have secured is Babar Azam in all formats and Rizwan in the ODI format.

Shamyl should not have played for Pak. His time may come but now wasn't it. It would have been better for him to play in NT20. He may get to play the third match as well & even score but he's being setup to fail.

As a neutral i enjoyed his batting. Gets in position early, has power, wonderful to see his hooks , pulls...& He plays with an air of gay abandon almost like a West indian from the 70's, 80's, plays with the air of someone who is enjoying living his dreams...sometimes cricket needs such young guys - such characters

Today BD figured out easily that he cannot play short balls or bouncers. Targeted his body, easy catch given.

IN that article there was mention Shan Masood in SA spent thousands of dollars to learn to play bounce with the help of Gary Kirsten. He looked alright. From what i have seen AMir Jamal lower order all rounder seemed to be decent than pakistan top order batsmen against bounce. Did he practice in Australia?

Figures. He has decent trigger movements for handling short ball. Gets on top of the bounce. Even Indians at the start stuggle. But they find different ways to practice against short ball.

Pak will get destroyed in SENA, if they continue to play with BD, type teams, a nd do not arrange more tours especially for A teams, like SENAI teams do when they tour each other, because everytime they go there, they get annihlated by bowlers either swing, seam, bounce and have not wona test in AUs in like 30 years, and Have a poor record in SA, NZ and ENg in this decade or so

That was a big loss for Hyderabad. Also a loss for me as he was a part of my fantasy team here.
