He's bowling has got potential but his fielding is poor and really needs to improve.

He didn't had the stamina to play test cricket. Think Waqar said it in an interview then.
Well as per some sources Hasnain will be replaced by hassan ali.
Deffo wanna see this guy get some test matches , the longer format will really develop him as a bowler.

Every now and then he loses his run up which means that he is not balanced at the crease. Most of the time that means he drags the ball down.
Something to work on.
South African commentators also speaking about his wrist position which could be improved and would help him swing the ball more.
Why is he trundling?
He has been slower than faheem here
His bowling aside, am I the only one that thought he should’ve batted ahead of shaheen and Rauf?
This guy was easily hitting boundaries whilst the other two could barely put bat on ball. With a confident tailender on his side, it could’ve been a little easier for Fakhar.
I am praying Waqar and Misbah don't ruin this kid. He has serious potential. The second most talented young bowler in the country after Shaheen.
But it seems like there is no work being done on him. He is probably told to just go out there and try his best.
Also he seemed far more capable with the bat than Shaheen and Rauf. How clueless is this team management?
True
3 fours out of 5 balls received.
Best strike rate in the Pakistan team today![]()

Saj if you have any contacts there with PCB , I think we should get some funding/donations from our overseas Pakistani fans to help if needed to arrange for that English batting coach who did some work with Shan Masood some years ago to spend even a couple of weeks with Mohammed Hasnain just focusing on his batting - I reckon with the right coaching he has some serious batting talent there, he could well become the next genuine all rounder for Pakistan after Imran Khan.![]()
Can you explain why or how he has potential. The guy just looks to me like Mohammad Sami version 2.0
I always thought Abbas and Afridi were always batted too high up, and Hasnain always showed better batting ability. His bowling aside, am I the only one that thought he should’ve batted ahead of shaheen and Rauf?

Mohammad Sami had potential. He’s a 20 year old who bowls 90+mph, gets decent rise and has an outswinger.
You might want to look up the word potential lol

He seems a carbon copy of Sami with some added advantage of height and pace. Unfortunately he lacks the sharp mind and skills needed to take out a batsman . A bowler without control and basic plan is toothless . I am afraid he is going down the hill having shown zero progress for the last few years.
There work needed in his bowling action. I'm sick of foreign commentators saying he needs to make changes to bowling action, run-up and delivery yet Waqar Younis hasn't addressed it yet.
Pakistan need a better bowling coach. Ian Pont please.

More than Half the pakistani players who debut have potential or "talunt". But Pakistani fans love to overestimate potentials. This kid doesn't look impressive at all. That "it" factor is much rarer than you think. Shaheen's the only pacer we have with that "it"
nope he bowled many deliveries above 140 kph in his last spell. Yup you are right going over 10 RPO is the skill that only prasidh and saini can have
Yet Shaheen routinely gets outperformed by the rest of the pacers regularly nowadays. You lot can point out the weaknesses of other bowlers, without over-rating Shaheen. Sadly, he is getting hyped to the moon and gets outperformed time and again by the same lot that we criticize for not being like Shaheen.More than Half the pakistani players who debut have potential or "talunt". He is less talented than Sami but his bowling IQ is at the same level.
Still, Sami remained the same throughout his career. He never had the capacity to increase his bowling IQ. I mean Hasnain is still on the younger side. Less talented than Sami BUT if he's really worth something he'll pick up on the bowling IQ part if he gets the proper guidance- unfortunately for Hasnain we have hit an all time low when it comes to coaching.
Same with Naseem.
Both Naseem and Hasnain look like fish out of water everytime they play a game. It's like they haven't learnt anything from the coaching staff or experiences.
Bowlers like Amir and Shaheen picked up international cricket very quickly. The same cannot be said for Hasnain and Naseem. Raw talent alone won't cut it in international cricket.

That is enough for now. Anyone Pakistani fans expecting greatness from the mediocre trio of Hassnain, Naseem and Rauf is setting himself up for disappointment.
None of them are good enough.
I thought he bowled well today.
Started not so well but pulled it back to 26 runs in 4 overs and broke an important partnership.
Still learning and developing.

Hasnain has definitely improved and is bowling better than when he first burst on to the scene. First he was fast and gun barrel straight but now he bowls out swing with the new ball and at the death he has been bowling yorkers, bouncers, following the batsman and even when batsman gives himself space he has bowled short and wide, out of reach of the batsman. These are very encouraging signs.
Bowls out swing 10 inches away from off stump![]()

Not good enough for international level at this moment. People get excited way too quickly when a bowler bowls 140+. They think anyone who bowls 140+ will trouble the top batsmen around the world. I’d rather have a bowler who bowls 130 and doesn’t get smashed to pieces.
Hasnain will bowl 1-2 good balls in every 20 balls, that seems to be good enough for some people here, but not for me.
