I am one of the biggest fans of survival horror genre hence most of the games that I have played or which I consider my favorite belong to that category.I will place top 3 of my all time favorite games in accordance with the consoles on which I have got the pleasure of playing them.

PS2 : 1.Resident Evil 4 2.Peter Jackson's King Kong 3.Star Wars:The Force Unleashed

Xbox 360: 1.Red Dead Redemption 2.F.E.A.R 1 3.The Evil Within 4.Fallout 3(couldn't resist from naming this gem)

Currently,I own xbox 360 and have no plans to replace it with PS4 in the near future as I am pretty happy with not so old games :PPlease name your favorites if you want to. :)
 
Age of Empires 2 - Started playing almost 10 years ago and still play it from time to time, the online community to their credit have done a lot to keep the game alive and thriving throughout all these years. Absolute masterpiece of a game which you don't ever really feel bored of.

GTA Series - Vice City, San Andreas, IV, V. Enjoyed San Andreas the most.

NFS Series - Most Wanted (2005 ed.), enjoyed Carbon as well.

Call of Duty 2,3,4.

Played a lot of Unreal Tournament(99) online as well.

Also a nostalgic shout out to some of the first PC games that I played including Midtown Madness 1,2 , Road Rash, Mortal Kombat 4 and Disney's Hercules 1997.

Almost same list as yours bro although i have alladin and lion king in my PC game list.
 
Uncharted series and the Max Payne series are the most memorable ones I have played, loved skyrim, started assassin's creed IV but didn't have time to finish it, played a lot of counter strike and age of empires in college, among cricket games, loved Brian lara's cricket 98 as a kid, currently Don bradman cricket is the greatest cricket game ever made

alladin lion king, prince of persia, mario, tank, contra, wwf warzone, wwf smackdown, damn those were the days, played the hell out of these games after coming from school, I still have all of these on my PC :srini

It isn't clear from the thread title that OP is talking about computer games.

For me, the best games have been kho kho and kanche.

Arkham Series, Dota 2, CS, Max Payne series, Far cry series, CoD series.

and oh yes, Mario and Contra!!

Hmm nice!!And those pc games that you have mentioned made my childhood!!By the way,I must be the only guy on this planet to have never played Clash of Clans,Assassins Creed and Call of Duty!!

Except that WWF smackdown,I have played all of these games.Gosh!!Feels so good to recall that era of classic games.Hercules and House of the dead were the ones I loved the most!!

i recently installed it on my phone. it's pretty educational and fun for such an old game.

the only game i have ever finished is a game called delta force from the late 90s
 
For me,RDR(Red Dead Redemption)is the best game ever.Miles better than all the overrated GTA's.That's just my viewpoint.

I'm a sports freak. Would play Pes for hours non stop, especially the career mode. Don't like action games much. Hitman was an exception.

Oh yes, forgot about Red dead, amazing game, still 30 % of the game is left, will finish it one day, agree it is miles better than GTA, red dead is different league

I haven't played it, I think it was exclusively for PS4 and I haven't bothered upgrading my PS3 since I hardly play these days anyway.

Not a fan of GTA 5, loved San Andreas, that was my thing dawg :11:. RDR was amazing, when John Marston gets snaked and shot, I was livid. Playing Far Cry 4, it is loosely based on Nepal, kinda boring when random white guys show up to do dumb thing, but it is alright.

lol, it did get bad for like two weeks when i wanted to go daily...but thankfully i snapped out of it. I actually have a rule of no casinos on the weekend..i think its rigged. You will never win big no matter how ahead you are

At the end, when you calculate your winnings and your losses, you will always end up with more losses than winnings. One of my friend used to go very often, at one point, every day. When I ask him how it went, he'd say "I won $600 today" and when I ask him "show me", he'll be like "Its gone" LOL. That is not "winning". That is some Afridi like positive thinking. They didn't know when to quit. Id tell him it is pretty stupid, he even went after banning himself got caught, fined and his ban was extended for another year. The max I ever played was $20.

Battlefield 2. These Call of Duty fan boys don't understand the original meaning of multiplayer. 64 players online, helis, jets, tanks and the art of working together was fun, this running and gunning mindlessly in Call Of Duty has no chance with Battlefield 2.

Damn how could I forget shadow of the collosus. Why the hate by so many for Mgs 2. It is a stunning game. So what if youre Raiden?

Metal Gear Solid 2 is actually one of the highest rated games ever on Metacritic. It was rather ahead of its time in every way I think - the script, themes, and yes the protagonist were not what anybody was expecting. Everyone just wanted another playable James Bond film with Solid Snake as the star, but Kojima was brave enough to depict his own true vision of the future instead. The game enjoys a much greater reputation nowadays to be fair.

Recently finished the HD collection and 2 was absolutely brilliant but I have to say that snake eater is my favourite. Holds a special place in my heart. I love all of them but if I have to rank them

Lol, the only reason i played minecraft was to go hog wild. After spending a good stint of building mindless structures in the SL mode, i started visiting various online servers. Things went quite well. Have build myself a posh home, made some new contacts. Briefly worded: I've led quite a fine MC life. However when i gradually started to lose some interest, things turned around drastically. My evil side gained upper hand over my previous pacific self. I have started to devestate goods and chattels of actually innocent players. Secured connections with players but only to infiltrate them afterwards. Begged for administration rights which i obtained eventually, only to smash the whole server to bits. I still bitterly regret for giving in to the evil. :srini

All of them have different sentimentl value for different people but from a pure gameplay perspective its got to be 3. The ladder scene witht hat song. Damn
 
Civilization 5, League of Legends, World of Warcraft (amazing game, but too addictive so I quit very quickly), Modern Warfare 3. I like simulator games and play train, car, bus, flight, police etc simulators often. The best ones are Train Simulator 2016 and XPlane or P3D IMO.

Thats all that comes into to my head now. Maybe i missed some.
 
For sports, FIFA, Football Manager, Cricket Captain, Cricket Coach and Don Bradman Cricket are the best ones I've played.

Forgot to mention Minecraft. I play factions and survival very often.
 
In addition to FIFA - which is world reknown - Arkham Asylum and the Call of Duty Modern Warfare series are all top notch.

However, my favorite game of all time is the Syphon Filter series on the old PS1. Amazing game of its time with a great story and gameplay. Years ahead of its time and better than Metal Gear Solid imo.

Max Payne was awesome too.

Medal of Honour Allied Assault, over LAN with your friends was amazing.

Fifa, Need for Speed series was greatest sport series ever. Nowadays, Codemasters is doing a great job with F1 series.

Assassins Creed is pretty commendable.

Surprised you didn't mention assassin's creed given your interest in medieval history.
 
I was addicted to Call of Duty MW2 at one point but now I don't get time for gaming at all. All you guys are lucky to have had the time to play such fantastic games.

I did. To tis day I remember when I played the first 2 back in 2006. I was absolutely blown away. How can a game have such a large scale. Waited years for 3 but it was worth it esp the first half

Rocket league is really one of the most fun games of all time gameplay wise. I recommend it to everyone even non gamers and non football fans.

And I've also been really enjoy the latest ratchet and clank game recently. Game looks looks like a Pixar movie which is crazy!
