Hammad Azam is a treat to watch, is a natural fighter. Never quits easily tries to go till the end sometimes carrying the whole team on his shoulders, battling it out alone like today. If he would've succeeded this would've become the one of the best T20 innings worldwide. Yamin is also immensely talented but most of his shots are expected to be fielded against an international T20 side. Hammad Azam is in a different league altogether

We invested in the wrong Umar. Had we put as much time and effort in Amin rather than Akmal we would have had quite a competent batsman on our hands. As it turns out Akmal can't even buy a run in domestics these days.

Nobody you listed even comes close to Amin in terms of technical ability and timing other than Babar and Haris.

They are all unproven and untested. Give them a couple domestic’s seasons and we’ll see how they are.

Technical weakness against the moving ball. Good bowlers will exploit his weakness. In both recent televised tournaments where Amin scored i-e Pakistan Cup and National t20 the pitches were extremely flat with hardly any support for fast bowlers.

If you want to play a technician against the moving ball as an odi opener to hold up one end then I would go with Azhar. And if you want an opener who can score fast and take on fast bowlers than I would go with Hussain Talat, Zeeshan or someone like Sharjeel ideally. On both occasions imo we have better odi openers than him.

Only difference has Amin has been in and around the system for a decade. Played in countless Internationals, has exposure all over the world, and still he is what he is today... a t20 dasher.

People complain about Shehzad but atleast Shehzad has a solid ODI career with centuries against the top side, but this guy is atleast 3-4 times inferior to Shehzad imo

He did better than Shezzy did in his only innings against SL.

He’s been prolific across all formats this year and deserves a chance on merit.

Asad's innings indicates that he is not a LO player, let alone T20. I can recall only one boundary through off side, which was also due to partially mis-field; BUT he isn't a leg side hack, has every shot on book through off and he is one of the best drivers of the ball.

It only indicates that enforcing innings isn't his comfort zone, he'll get exposed at higher level.

OK, maybe in the first 10 balls he played some shots of good balls, but definitely served up some juicy legside length balls for him to smash out of the ground. Nonetheless, well done, good to see he isn't trying to 'settle in' anymore at the beginning of his innings.

This is the biggest issue for me; it looks like he doesn't really want to be out there, still remember how he never dived around to stop runs in the field too. His attitude is terrible.

Both Amin and Sohaib had careless and lazy attitude in internationals. You are not playing for your gully mohalla team, you are playing for Pakistan and its a privilege. You were luckier than some others that you got backing from differnet quarters too but sorry but with attitude you should stay out out of the team. We have plenty of kids who have the drive to succeed and don't take Pakistani national cap for granted.

Amin batted well today too, always a treat to watch him bat fluently. The main reason for Rawalpindi downfall in this season is mainly due to there being no other batsman in the side who can bat dependently apart from Amin. Once Amin fall, its basically the end of Rawalpindi's chase.

Mine:
1. Anwar Ali (big performances with bat and ball)
2. Hammad Azam (scored runs and kept things relatively tight, more wkts than Yamin)
3. Faheem Ashraf (hasn't had much chance to bat. Shown promise with ball)
4. Aamer Yamin (One quick fifty, bowling expensive and few wickets so far)

Islamabad never looked in the game, even though Karachi posted a below-par score. Even Nauman batted unusually slowly.
