The title says it all!!!

Guys please upload videos of upcoming young batsmen and bowlers performance here. So we can have an idea of our new players and push for their selection.

Misbah won't be liking haider and zeeshan batting. Too young. Need malik to score.

How was Zeeshan today for those who watched and what are his strengths?

Fantastic. Picks the length early and has shots all around the ground. Good power hitter but some of his strokes are great to see. There was one inside-out shot (against Wahab if I remember correctly) that I loved. Admittedly was watching on grainy youtube streams so I’m looking forward to the HD highlights reel.

How was Zeeshan today for those who watched and what are his strengths?

Really impressive. Was able to hit straight sixes and was able to play some really difficult shots with ease through cover and extra cover. Hit Shaheen for straight six and next ball he knew Shaheen would go a bit wider so just moved towards legside a bit without loosing his balance and played a gorgeous shot towards the cover for 4. That was the highlight for me which showed good batting intelligence.

This tournament is a great platform for youngsters to showcase their talent & abilities.

Pakistan national t20 team badly need some good young aggressive batsmen.

Hopefully they perform and kick out the non performing oldies like Shoaib Malik from the team.

Very good start for youngesters first zeeshan malik the highlight of his innings for me was the 6 of shaheen straight back down the ground.

In the second game abdullah shafique came in at a tough time under pressure played a wonderful innings and rotated the strike quite well technically very good plays spin as good as pace

Exciting times ahead. If Zeeshan continues this form throughout the tournament, then for sure a PSL contract is in the horizon.

Haidar ali
Abdullah Shafiq
zeeshan malik
what a day to start. Hope they perform consistantly. And proper coaching required for these players.

Hayden Ali is one of the most exciting talents we’ve had for two decades. Up there with the likes of Babar, Amir, Raza Hassan, a teenage Umar Akmal. I really hope he goes the Babar way and not like the other three.

This is solely my opinion, based on that one video above, happy to be proved wrong - but Zeeshan Malik doesn’t have that look of a world class batsman. He doesn’t pick up the length a fraction early that great batsmen seem to do.

Stil decent enough when he gets going needs to use his brains abit more thou

Saif Badar batting at number 7 - how exactly are we treating young talent?

It's a long tournament.....hope Akif Javed UMER khan and Usman Qadir shines .....

Saif Badar batting at number 7 - how exactly are we treating young talent?

Have not seen him play any good inning, he need to improve big time and grab whatever opportunity. His avg in F.Class and LO is poor.Players like haider, abdullah hv made instant impact.Even rohail has played cameos when provided limited chances down the order.

Saif Badar I watched him first time batting. He seems to be another overhyped player to me. No power in his shorts missed juicy full tosses. The hype over Haider and Abdullah Shafiq is justified. Azam khan is another boy who I found a natural hitter and does not look like slogger

It's a long tournament.....hope Akif Javed UMER khan and Usman Qadir shines .....

Umer looks a shadow of his old self. Usman has been good, he's surprised me because he used to be trash in U19s, but has improved a lot, gets massive turn. Akif has potential but needs a couple more seasons in domestic before a national call up.

Saif Badar seems like a Malik type player without the immense experience. Their batting seems similar too.

He’s decent but not the brilliant player he’s made out to be.

Unjust to Mohammad Haris! Who is responsible Razzaq or Rizwan?

The title says it all. Haris is one of the few promising youngster in our U19 team. The tournament is 70% done still not a single opportunity.
Most likely its Rizwan's call because he doesn't want any competition.
Your opinion please!!!

PCB should be man up and grill both Rizwan/Razzaq and Sarfraz/Basit for not giving opportunities to young players.

Where does he fit in the team? You would have to drop Hafeez or Malik or Iftikhar.

I want him to play but the decision is likely Razzaq’s not Rizwan’s.

Rewatching the videos above, there seems to be a difference in class between Haider and the other two young batsmen (Abdullah and Zeeshan). Now I know Abdullah is flavour of the month around here and bats like Kohli etc, and I really hope he lives up to this hype, but as of yet, he doesn’t come close to Haider.

Rizwan himself got absolutely shafted during PSL so it's whatever really. Can't blame him for being protective over his spot now that he's in the driving seat.

All them three could have played farhaan could have been dropped for haris and everyone pushed up a position but they instead went for a 30 old I blame the management

Akif......by far far way.......also Danish Aziz.....but he needs to be consistent

Naturally Haider Ali, but since I was already impressed with him, I have voted for Abdullah Shafiq. He is the only batsman who has impressed enough to be fast-tracked into development with the Pakistan A team, the team against Zimbabwe, and coaching under Younis and Yousuf.

The rest are a tier below, though I have been impressed (in no particular order) by Akif, Sohaibullah, Rohail Nazir, and Azam Khan.

Seeing the names in this poll makes me realise that there are some good young cricketers coming through at this level and in this format. Players who just need guidance, nurturing and good role-models.

Some rays of hope, at least in the 20 over format.

Danish Aziz laying a claim for this title for sure.

Haider Ali
Zeeshan Malik
Abdullah Shafique
Khushdil Shah
Azam Khan
Danish Aziz
Ali Imran

All are good...

Non debut players
Top order : abdullah shafique
Middle order:Azam khan &danish aziz
Power hitter: Khushdil shah
Fast bowler:akif javed

Abdullah shafique
Danish aziz
Akif javed
Khushdil shah
Azam Khan
Ali imran
Zeeshan malik

And haider ali which we already know about

So no one thinks Azam is any good?

I just voted for him. He's pretty good. I'm sure many would've chosen him but since you can only choose one, it's difficult to go past someone like Abdullah Shafiq, who I'd agree is the most positive thing about this tournament.

Definitely.

Surprised so many people voted for Danish Aziz. Yes he had an extremely clutch knock, but there wasn’t anything particularly special about the raw ability - it’s rather the temperament that’s extremely commendable.

Zeeshan is a slogger, that's all. Not a proper batsman in this NT20 even though he can be.

Abdullah is the BEST talent from Pakistan in the past few years.

Abdullah >>> Saud >>> Haider >>>> Zeeshan >>> Ali Imran

While there have been quite a few impressive batsmen for limited overs cricket, I think Abdullah Shafique is possibly currently the only batsman who can play test cricket as well going forward and can be a 3 format batsman.

Would you play babar and abdullah together in the t20s in future ?

I think they voted for him based on 2 match winning performance under pressure and the ability to hit both sides of the wicket also batting down the order

Tricky considering somewhat similar style of play. He can play some big shots when in flow but Babar, Moh Rizwan and Abdullah together can bring in bit too much conventional style of play in T20s in one playing XI. However, in the his debut T20 match he did play some really good power shots. Will have to see how he develops further in the format. At the same time I wont be surprised if he plays alongside Babar.

Rizwan might open against zim in t20 because he useless in middle order . To be honest abdullah doesn't look t20 batsmen he is more suited for odis and test .Having said that babar should be his inspiration who have proved his talent in t20 also .

I just dont think hes suited to the t20 format but he can play if babar is not avaliable or injured as they are both similar kind of players but when babar is fit rizwan can not play in the team.same again I would say if babar is playing abdullah should not play as all three are similar players that would put extreme pressure even if 2 of them played in the same team in t20s.against Zimbabwe you can try it

Definitely all three should not play together unless they playing against Zimbabwe.but in odis all three can play I think

In Azam Khan, after a long time I have seen a clean striker of the ball in the country. He has to do alot of hard work on his fitness though.
