I was asking the guards and they were like - we are very strict etc

Hafeez is a senior so he pushed his way through, the rest were probably too scared to mess with security incase they got in trouble with the management.

I always remember in England the security guy with the Pakistan team a few years ago was pushing Pakistani fans around. He was being an absolute idiot and showing what a jobsworth he was. He pushed one guy and the guy was ready to hit him before other security intervened.

Whilst appreciating there has to be levels of security around the players, but when you have a handful of people asking for pictures or autographs that is hardly life-threatening.

Sadly give people some authority......it goes to their head.

If players are okay to take the pictures then whats the harm? But again, if something happens, it is the security person who is responsible and will have to take the blame. They probably are trying to be safe than sorry.

Ironically OP had created another thread lambasting security. But that was Virat Kohli, so understandable.

so think about it please.

Someone jumps a fence and runs on to the field of play - that is something we as accredited people cannot even do. There is no control in this situation.

Compare with OP/Post 1. Security guards outnumbering supporters.

Understand the difference.

Everything related to Virat Kohli is not sacrosanct.

Only difference here is supporters did not jump fence. Apart from that situation is same. I agree what happened in India was wrong. I also believe what happened here is also wrong. Security guys should've been allowed to do their job. If, unfortunately something happens, we guys would be the one to lambast security.

PS: Virat Kohli was just an indirect reference to something else, not the guy. Just saying

Agree with your view but pls stay on topic. thanks

No one jumped a fence here. That is far more serious.

So what do you think of the entire situation? Hafeez did not do anything wrong? Or security was over zealous?

think bit of both but in a situation like this - security need to have guidelines from team also.

One more point to consider is that security in middle east is unreasonably heavy handed in many aspects of life and there is a culture clash here also.

Question: Does these players roam around with the security guards in their normal life?? and how do they handle fans??

seeing some of the tweets in reply to Hafeez video, seems that they meet him without a fuss outside
