No rehan will come good. Plus rehan can bat and his contribution with the bat in the second innings was vital too.He should replace Rehan in the second Test?

After India's loss in the series opener, the focus will be on the Visakhapatnam pitch which is expected to offer plenty of turn to spinners. If not from Day 1, the pitch is definitely going to spin a lot from Day 2
I think Anil Kumble was the tallest leg-spinner. Well, he would get good bounce which is vital for a leggie.Very tall - for an off-spinner at 6 ft 4 in (193 cm)?
Ravi Shastri and Ravi Ashwin 6ft 3 and 6ft 2 respectively

Bashir easily looks the best of all English spinners. Rehan & Hartley bowl a lot of garbage, and have honestly got a lot of their wickets on long hops, but Bashir doesn't bowl as many loose ones. This lad will do well in the long term I feel
One more to his account now.
WICKET! Patidar lbw Bashir 17 - India 112-3 - TRAIL by 241
Bashir does it again!
The ball skids off the pitch crashes into Patidar's pads, leading to another dismissal via LBW!
Patidar reviews but there's no escape, with replays show no bat involved and the ball tracker going onto hit leg stump.
Bashir has been brilliant today and England have their third.
England's former captain, Sir Alastair Cook, spoke on a sports channel:Bashir has another one.. 4 now for him.
This time he cleaned the batter who was scoring runs heavily throughout the series, Jaiswal. What a spell he is bowling atm. got few edges to trouble the batters earlier an now removed jaiswal from the scene. Beautiful.
He looks very good. The best of the three young spinners that England have picked here.
Hartley got a dream spell on debut but aside from that has bowled a lot of drag downs and full tosses. Rehan is talented but extremely raw.
Whereas they showed a graphic of all Bashir’s deliveries from Day 2 and the lines were stunningly consistent, also with all balls either good length (majority) or full length (some) — nothing short or fully tossed at all, in 25+ overs. He has some potential this lad.
He isn't Swann but definitely could be one.Hopefully, Eng can make use of these young spinners and not just use them as fillers.
I liked what I saw in Bashir. The more he bowls, the better he will get.
If Eng takes care of him, he could become another Swann. He is very young and spinners do develop with time.He isn't Swann but definitely could be one.
Got smoked for 140 runs in 40 overs, but got 3 important wickets so far in the 5th and final test match of the series. Surely, a good find for England on this tour.
This is like that Jason Kreza taking 15 wickets in a match against India. But conceded awful lot of runs. If you keep bowling you are going to bump into some wickets.
Ajaz patel took 10 wickets in one innings. On Indian pitches against current Indian batsmen it is a bit easier to take a wicket or two.He has been impressive overall though.
Him and Todd Murphy are the two best young foreign spinners to come to our shores in the past decade or so. Close third being Ajaz Patel.
Future of England cricket averaging 40 with the ball. Bowling like a random pie chuckerThe future of England cricket.
A mediocre bowler's who is getting smashed left & Right and Averaging 40s in test cricket with the Ball.Won’t be getting a visa for the next tour this guy![]()
He will not be effective in Australia at least in first tour. Modern batters are not good against spin and the DRS has played a great role in that. He is not that good but Stokes leading him good.I think bowling for England, he knows exactly what his role is, and Stokes is the kind of captain who does not stress him out when he's getting pinged. You have to give him credit. No one believed in him. He's now England's youngest to 50 test wickets and has more test five-fers than Freddie Flintoff.
He will likely feel the heat from Farhan Ahmed soon, but until then, there's no close rival to him. His height helps on truer international-quality pitches, too.
Baz has good eye for talent. Crawley and Duckett have come good in his tenure in addition to the likes of Bethel, Pope and Smith showing improvement.I don't think he's particularly good. But that doesn't he won't be good years from now. He has a number of attributes that could make him a very successful spin-bowler. And he has delivered quite a few performances of note already too.
You have to give credit to England Cricket for identifying him and seeing the potential in him. There is no better way to get better at test cricket then by playing test cricket. Personally, I am more interested to see where he is 2-3 years from now. That will tell you if the investment paid off or not. It's premature and unfair to make judgments on him at this point of his career. I mean he has barely even played any FC cricket.
A good bowler, and he is young, so there are a lot of things for him to learn.
