Should be competitive, its young and has enough balance all around enough to hit 6's on the flat decks of Pakistan along with 3 genuine fast bowlers to give you 12 along with 3 spinners to give you the other 8, playing Weise if you want 16 overs of fast bowling. These are relatively safe picks, the only one that we missed out on would've been Rohail Nazir but that was due to draft order and would've been first pick in emerging for any team.

Mohammad Haris was also in emerging and would have been a good WK Batsman pick - Rohail can build an innings and play the 20 overs but Haris definetly has a better power game..he was at NCA too, all but sure some team would pick him..such is life

It’s they opener who played for Faisalabad (in Lhr Q’s emerging tournament) last year and was also selected for the Australia tour. He’s a good stroke maker and can also used as a slogger down the order.

While LQ squad isnt extraordinary but to be honest its that too bad as well. Decent talent in top 3 as well as lower middle order, pace bowling is also pretty decent.

Spin department is their weakest are with only one specialist spinner in Raja though decent support in Hafeez and Patel.

Regarding Farhan being X factor- I haven't seen him . However, what I have seen is for the new Pakistan batsmen they are not even able to score at 100 SR in PSL. This indicates how big a gap is there.

Chris Lynn isnt as big a hit and miss in leagues as many are making him out to be. He averages 32 in T20s with a SR of 141, an avg of 32 shows consistency in T20s. You cant play league all around the world without being consistent. Yes Fakhar in T20s is a hit and miss at the moment while Hafeez can provide a balance at no 3.

Patel, Faizan can take them deeper in the innings while Sohail Akhtar, Ben Dunk along with either Wiesse(Who won LQ a match in last PSL) or Pasanna to hit some blows at the end.

Obviously not the strongest lineups going around but if their roles are properly defined unlike previous years this team can do well.

I think this is the most balanced team for Lahore Qalandar. Only issue is sohail akhtar named captain but it also means hafeez wont be confirmed starter otherwise hafeez would have named captain
