This is a pretty silly take on his bowling, oh he’s only good for the KO’s and therefore we should criticise him, that’s just moronic 🤡 It takes a collective effort to win any trophy, but his impact is undeniable and he has rustled your lots jimmies more than any other Pak bowler recently so that speaks volumes in itself. Nobody is taking credit away from Fakhar, but this century, Amir has been Pak’s best LOI bowler even with his inactivity & ban, he gets hired for the leagues for the same reasons compared to other Pak bowlers who would love to get the same gigs.

I knew the personal attacks would start as soon as you cannot reply to actual points.

Deliberately underbowling is a shrewd cunning tactics to undermine other bowlers and hurts his team. So are his fans efforts to attribute other players victories to him.

How exactly has he been impactful against India? CT 2017, when match was already won after Fakhars innings and his slimy fans give credit to him (a score over 300+ has never been chased in a major final in the history of cricket, a score over 250+ has been chased once)?

There have been other bowlers who have been way more impactful against India (for eg, Afridi in world T20 2021, the only world cup match pakistan ever won against India in history), weird how no one else rustled jammies or how Amir fans ignore those bowlers.

I don't see Indians fawning over ishant sharma who defended a score of 123 in a CT final or Irfan Pathan who won multiple world cups with his bowling. World cup winner Sreesanth is shunned because he fixed in a league.

The mentality of fans of both countries are night and day and it shows in the teams performances as well. Overhyping mediocrity will give you a life time of mediocrity.

What did you find so personally offensive? other than Amir’s bowling in the CT 17 final off-course, get a grip man. You come up with these crazy conspiracies which hold very little merit in the grand scheme, his numbers in the tournament prove he bowled well and he delivered in a knockout game, what more should we expect? I am not attributing 2017 or 2009 entirely to Amir but he played pivotal roles in both campaigns alongside others, and I deliberately wanted you to come up with better Pak options because I know you guys like go off on a tangent and mention other players; as for Ishant & Irfan, they are both good players I don’t have any negative to say about either, except they could have achieved a bit more. It’s not about mentality, it’s about us maximising our resources, India is a different kettle of fish with the Ranji trophy & structure in place while Pak have struggled to take 200 Test wickets in the 21st century, we have backed players who’ve repeatedly let us down, nice sharif lads don’t get me wrong, but good leadership involves managing players with a chip on their shoulders when they can produce results, Amir is past it now anyway and has been for years, but his bowling alongside Shaheen against India in the WT20 should have showcased why a minority of us have campaigned for serious changes in the team for a long time, am afraid Pakistan cricket works best when it’s a bit belligerent, or else you’ve seen what Babar & Rizwan and others have achieved for their country.

It's a very clear observation I have made and not a conspiracy theory. You are free to verify it yourself.

Also, all I am saying is that performing in a couple of tournaments doesn't make anyone ne a great bowlers, just like no one will call Ishant, Sreesanth and the multiple world cup winning Irfan Pathan great bowlers

But if you want me to summarise, I am as frustrated as you about pakistan not having long term great bowlers despite so many with potential appearing.

I was stoked with Akhtar and was envious of you having such a maverick fast bowler, would tune in to see him bowl and he was the most entertaining cricketer for me when he played.

Asif was a magician with so much potential, but never had the discipline and we saw so many transgressions. Banned for nandro. Then got Akhtar banned while he played victim. Akhtar lost his faith in PCB at that moment and never recovered. Asif got banned for Nandro again and got caught in Dubai with banned substance. Final straw when he took young Amir with him in fixing, without the senior bowler there no way Amir would have agreed to Butt's offer.

Amir, such an exciting talent, got caught as a youngster. Got a second chance but choose to play leagues over country most time.

So like you, it's more frustration for me as a cricket fan to see so much potential wasted. Great bowlers are an exciting sight and sorely needed for cricket.

I remember the parable of Jesus Christ about a man who distributed talents (silver coins) to 3 sons. One son buried his talent in ground. One spent it recklessly. Third invested and made a fortune.

In the end dad was most upset with the son who buried his talent. God given skills are the same. If God blesses you with untold skills you honour God by using them to potential instead of wasting them. Not everyone is so blessed. But when you are blessed with talent and skills by God you have more responsibility than the common guy that you don't waste what God gave.

I will always hold the insanely talented more accountable than the average players.

Naa akhtar was at fault for his own things. Asif didnt get him banned.

Interestingly today was the day Amir was caught for spot fixing

A man is always responsible for his own actions in the end. But it is still frustrating, isn't it, when talented players don't achieve their potential only because of lack of discipline.

Players like Shaheen should be crucified a lot more imo, whatever your opinion is of Amir, there is something to see on the CV, why does his holiness get excused when some posters & fans were billing Shaheen to be the next Jimmy Anderson of Pakistan due to his stock Test match line & length…….Amir is not perfect at all but his match winning spells will be remembered other then the obvious, with Shaheen I just see him throwing in the towel in a WC final, you mentioned Akhtar before, he himself said he would have put his body on the line. What you accuse Amir of, Shaheen does a lot of that but with no upside & he is meant to be in his prime.

Amir is not the bowler he once was, I know you expect him to be the 2009 version when he came back but he lost 5 years of his career and he went from potentially being the best left armer since Wasim to Pakistan’s Nathan Bracken, relying more on Bowling IQ & variation opposed to pace & swing he use to have.

@Sachin fan Shaheen post his injuries deliberately has been bowling well within himself, he keeps himself fresh for the leagues, his pace is not what it use to be but I’ve seen him bowl between 75-80mph for Pakistan, then he puts more effort in for the PSL. People say stuff about Waqar but he still has a 5fer against ATG Australia past his prime bowling in the low 80’s, bowlers of that ilk were skilful and intelligent, and pace wasn’t all they had. Even Amir adapted post ban and ok you have your view there, but there has been no real adjustment from Shaheen and he has been exposed for his lack of ability after losing a yard or two of pace.

Interesting comment on Shaheen. I never noticed this.

Seems suspicious if Shaheen is doing this.

In Tests & ODI, his pace is considerably less then in T20’s, keep an eye out for future games.
