[VIDEOS] PTI starts off its Long March

PTI Chairperson Imran Khan has said that his movement for haqeeqi azadi (real freedom) will continue for the next 10 months as he resumed the party's long march from Gujranwala on Day 6.

"Nobody should think our movement will end in Islamabad, it will continue for the next 10 months until we don't have elections," the former premier said while addressing the long march participants on Wednesday.

Imran also asserted that he would not accept the incumbent government "at any cost" and would rather die than "bow down before these thieves [ruling parties]".

"I have reached to this point after a struggle of 26 years in politics but all other politicians were born in the 'military nursery'. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was Ayub Khan's minister for eight years and Nawaz Sharif became the prime minister of the country while installing iron bars in the house of General Jilani," he added.

Imran also raised the question that who wanted to silence slain journalist Arshad Sharif, saying who is threatening the journalist community of the country.

The deposed premier said that he tried his best to punish the "thieves" who had looted the country for 30 years but there were some "secret hands" that managed to save the culprits.

"We could not do anything because NAB was not in my hands. Those who were controlling NAB saved these thieves," he added.

The PTI chief said that if the army has decided to stay neutral then who is stopping them from holding transparent elections in the country?

He said the people of Pakistan need to "stand up for their rights". "Justice is only given in human society and you will have to support me. It is better to die than be a slave," the PTI chairperson said.

He further questioned the deaths of officers investigating corruption cases against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying "all officers died one after another".

Cult-leaders always have the numbers. Besides, there is no shortage of unemployed and unproductive people in Pakistan who have nothing better to do than attend these circus shows for days.

Those who are studying, working, running businesses etc. cannot afford to be a part of these circus shows across the country.

The point I am trying to make is that the fake messiah currently does not have the numbers to back his claim that this is going to be the biggest rally this country has ever seen.

He made a big claim but realized that right now he doesn’t have the numbers to back the claim, so he decided to save himself from embarrassment and delay the invasion of Islamabad.

He should’ve done what Maryam did in Okara, now that wouldn’t have been embarrassing.

I have heard he has delayed the circus show in Islamabad. Clearly saving himself from embarrassment because he does not have the numbers.

Imran is a patriot, your views wanting others to hurt Pak children are one of treason. Not sure why you feel anyone takes you seriously?

Imran has the people, in the end the people win and no different this time....sooner or later. One day those who have lived of corruption will all be held to account.

Imran to spend day 7 of long march in Wazirabad

The PTI has said on its official Twitter that party chief Imran Khan will be spending the seventh day of his long march in Wazirabad.

In the tweet, the PTI also shared a screenshot of a post by party leader Hammad Azhar, who said the march will resume from Kot Khizri, Wazirabad at 1pm today.

Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday said that if PTI Chairman Imran Khan assures the Islamabad High Court (IHC) of staying peaceful, he will be allowed to come to Islamabad.

Speaking to the media, he said that the issue of Imran’s entry into the federal capital is under hearing in the court.

Referring to the PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s prohibition of negotiating with the PTI chief, Sanaullah said that negotiations are always supported in politics.
He said that no politician ever says that they will not negotiate. “Imran Khan abuses when we talk about negotiations,” he added.

Regarding the intention to hold talks, the interior minister said that the talks are with politicians, but Imran “is not a politician”.

“Imran Khan is a political terrorist,” he said.

Restricting FIA powers

Regarding the proposed amendments in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Act, whereby the agency can act against those spreading “rumours and false information against state institutions”, the interior minister said that they would be held back if they were found to against freedom of expression.

He said that some things on social were negatively affecting the personal lives of people and they needed to be controlled.

He also said that while the government would try to gain parliamentary consensus on the matter, they would hold it back if the journalist community said that it was violating their rights.

He also sought the guidance of the journalist community in this regard since the government was looking at solving this issue through an amendment.

On October 27, the federal cabinet approved an amendment to the FIA Act, 1974 with Section 505 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) for this purpose. It greenlighted a summary on circulation from the interior ministry for changes in the FIA law.

“[The] FIA has intimated that presently, social media is inundated with false information and rumours against state institutions and organisations with intent to cause or incite or which is likely to cause or incite any officer, solder, sailor or airman in army, navy, or air force of Pakistan to mutiny, offence or otherwise disregard or fail in his duty as such,” the summary read.

“These rumours and false information are also being disseminated with the intent to cause, or which is likely to cause, fear or alarm in the public or in any section of the public whereby any person may be induced to commit an offence against the state or against the public tranquillity,” it added.

PTI DENIED PERMISSION TO HOLD SIT-IN AT ISLAMABAD’S H-9 PARK

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad administration has refused to give permission to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for holding sit-in at Islamabad’s H-9 Park, ARY News reported on Thursday quoting sources.

Sources privy to the matter told ARY News that the capital administration has offered PTI to hold its sit-in/rally at Rawat or T-Chowk instead of Islamabad’s H-9 park.

The district administration has also informed Islamabad High Court (IHC) about allowing or denying permission for PTI’s long march to enter Islamabad.

The final decision regarding the venue for PTI’s sit-in would be taken after court order, according to interior ministry sources.

IHC reserves verdict on PTI’s NOC plea
Islamabad High Court (IHC) today reserved its verdict on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) plea seeking a no objection certificate (NOC) for the Islamabad sit-in.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking permission to hold a political gathering/sit-in in the federal capital to mark the conclusion of its long march.

As per details, IHC Justice Aamir Farooq heard the petition filed by PTI against the federal government for delaying NOC issuance for the party’s Islamabad sit-in.

The petition filed by PTI stated that the party applied for NOC for November 6 and 7 to the Islamabad administration for the ‘Haqeeqi Azadi’ march but the issuance was delayed instead.

March to resume on Tuesday from same point in Wazirabad where I was shot: Imran

PTI Chairman Imran Khan has announced that his long march towards Islamabad will resume on Tuesday from the same point in Wazirabad where his container came under attack last Thursday.

“We have decided that our march will resume on Tuesday from the same [point] in Wazirabad where I and 11 others were shot, and where Moazzam was martyred,” Imran said. “I will address the march from here (in Lahore), and our march, within the next 10 to 14 days, depending on the speed, will reach Rawalpindi.

Imran said that once the march reaches Rawalpindi, he would then join it and lead it himself.

Why is Imran not backing down?
Observers fear confrontational politics heading towards ‘dreadful scenario’

ISLAMABAD:
He was knocked down but, just like his predecessors, jumped back in the ring and vowed to fight till the end.

In his all-guns-blazing video statement on Friday, wheelchair-bound PTI chief Imran Khan addressed the ruling alliance and the powers that be right from a hospital built in his mother’s name, asserting that he was not backing down and would bounce back on the street once out of the hospital.

Though his party’s long march is temporarily postponed till he is fit to march to the capital again, Imran’s populist rhetoric to take the mighty ones head on in his multi-dimensional conflict with almost all the institutions of the country was of the same intensity. Ballot or bloodshed, he said, were the only options left.

From Nawaz Sharif’s “I will not take dictation” to Yousaf Raza Gilani’s “state within a state will not be acceptable” and from Sharif’s statement that the army has gone from a “state within a state” to a “state above the state”, the concept of a parallel government run by the military is not an alien phenomenon in Pakistan anymore.

Political observers believe that Imran has lately joined the anti-establishment camp but the only difference is that he is simultaneously challenging the government and the powerful stakeholders as he believes that the civilian rulers do not have all the power when they rule.

Moreover, they believe Imran was also trying to give a collective identity to his followers so that they could feel that they matter, their lives have dignity and they are a great nation.

‘Challenging the army’

Eminent scholar Professor Dr Hassan Askari said that confrontation was imminent if one hears what all sides were saying for the past few days or months. Commenting on Imran’s statement a day after he was shot at and injured in a rally at Wazirabad, the professor said Imran was not only confronting the government but challenging the army as he believes they are the real players in the game and possess real power.

Professor Askari noted that Imran has tried to respond to the unprecedented press conference of the top spy chief where the latter accused the former prime minister of excessively telling lies and maintaining a double standard, among other things.

Expressing his inability to predict the final outcome of the ongoing slugfest, the professor feared that things were heading towards confrontation.

Professor Askari felt that sometimes Imran takes a “blinkered view” of the situation that could ultimately create problems for himself and his party, adding that if no middle way was found then things were definitely heading towards a dreadful situation. Amid political volatility coupled with tough economic conditions, he noted, internal chaos was increasing and it was ultimately weakening whatever democracy was left in the country.

However, the professor said that Imran wasn’t doing it for civilian supremacy though he was facing a similar situation that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Sharif, Benazir and several others faced in the past. “It's popular leader versus establishment,” he said, saying Imran has turned against the establishment because it didn’t save him at the time of the no-confidence motion back in April.

For the professor, one way to defuse the situation was to announce the name of the new army chief, especially, when the outgoing military czar has repeatedly said that he won’t take an extension. “It’s indecisiveness on the part of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif,” he said, saying he should have announced the name of the new army chief by now for a smooth transition.

Unfortunately, he said, Pakistan was facing a multi-dimensional conflict where elected leaders, the governments, powerful stakeholders, the national poll body, judiciary, and agencies got somehow involved, saying “all institutions are partisan now” and there was a dire need to find a way to avert a political crisis.

Hand-picked or otherwise, political analysts said, the country’s history shows that no premier could complete the constitutionally-mandated term and no army chief could maintain good relations with civilian rulers for long.

No matter how the political scenario is framed, they said, it actually is about the appointment of the military chief and having cordial relations with the establishment that all political parties are looking forward to. Despite his hard-hitting statements and identity entrepreneur, Imran is no exception.

ISLAMABAD: The law enforcement agencies have decided to launch a crackdown against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and received arrest warrants of several central leaders late Sunday night, citing sources, ARY News reported.

Sources told ARY News that an important session of the law enforcement agencies was held on late Sunday night. Law enforcement agencies took important decisions regarding the expected closure of different routes.

It has been decided to launch a crackdown against PTI central leaders. The LEAs got arrest warrants of PTI central leader Pervez Khattak, Amir Kayani, Sheikh Rashid Shafique, Ali Amin Gandapur and Malik Aamir Dogar, sources said.

In another development, the LEAs decided to form patrolling teams of Rangers, Frontier Corps (FC) and Islamabad police on different routes to Islamabad airport.

He said Azadi Long March will reach Rawalpindi in 10 to 15 days, where he will physically join the march. Imran Khan invited the masses to join their protest and break the shackles of fear.

PTI PROTESTS: ISLAMABAD POLICE SEEK PERMISSION TO CLEAR MOTORWAY

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police have sought permission to clear Lahore-Peshawar Motorway, which has been closed due to protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against an assassination attempt on party chief Imran Khan, ARY News reported.

According to details, the capital police have penned down a letter to Interior Secretary and Commissioner Islamabad, seeking permissions to clear Lahore-Peshawar Motorway.

The Islamabad police, in the letter, stated that the routes to and from the airport are of utmost importance. “Articles 97/149 and 151 give police the right to protect the airport and its routes”, the letter stated.

It further stated that the federal airport and routes were administratively within the jurisdictions of Punjab, noting that diplomats and foreign dignitaries use the mentioned route to access the capital.

It maintained that ‘unpleasant incident’ at the airport can bring disgrace to the country, urging the federal administration to issue instructions to Chief Secretary Punjab and Police Chief as per the Constitution.

“The capital police should be given permission with full authority to clear the roads”, the letter stated, adding that all provinces should be given instructions to give access to three major toll plazas.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has staged multiple protests in Rawalpindi and closed the Lahore-Peshawar Motorway as well.

PTI leader Sadaqat Abbasi said that the protests would continue until the PTI long march reaches Rawalpindi. The time for the imported PDM government is over, he added.

He added that Imran Khan is their red line, and they will block the whole country if he is harmed in any way. The protests are growing exponentially, and the only way out for the government is to announce a free and fair election.

It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan and several other PTI leaders were injured after a man opened fire near the PTI reception camp at Allahwala Chowk during party’s long march.

According to details, unidentified assailants opened fire on PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s container near the Allahwala Chowk in Wazirabad, injuring six people and killing one.

Earlier in the day, following the directions of Supreme Court (SC), the Punjab police finally registered a first information report (FIR) for the assassination attempt on the former prime minister.

According to details, the first information report (FIR) was lodged at the Wazirabad police station after a lapse of 96 hours of the incident.

Sources told ARY News that the case was registered under the charges of murder, attempt to murder, terrorism and others at the City Police Station in Wazirabad. Naveed, the arrested suspect, was nominated in the FIR, sources added.

PTI supporters block roads in new protest in Islamabad

Supporters of PTI chief Imran Khan have blocked roads near Islamabad, disrupting traffic and forcing schools to close, as they protest against a bid to assassinate their leader at a recent anti-government rally.

“People are finding it very hard to go to work,” said police official Yawar Ali. “Families have been stuck in the traffic for hours. We’ve even got reports that the protesters have not let ambulances pass.”

ISLAMABAD: As the law and order situation continues to deteriorate amid protests by the Pak*is*tan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) supp*orters in Punjab and Khyber Pak**h*tunkhwa (KP), ******tan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Balighur Reh*man and Rana Sanaullah separately warned the former ruling party of ‘constitutional repercussions’ if protests continued to hamper citizens’ freedom of movement.

In a media talk at the Civil Hospital in Karachi, Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman said governor’s rule in the province cannot be ruled out in light of the prevailing circumstances. He, however, termed it an “extreme measure” with constitutional cover nonetheless.

“…the Constitution allows such measures…not among the impossible things but there are certain merits which define the time of its imposition,” the governor said while referring to the attack on Governor House allegedly by supporters of the PTI. “So the way the law is being defied and writ of the state being challenged, it’s not a good thing,” he warned.

‘KP, Punjab police abetting protesters’

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah told the governments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to either follow the Constitution or be ready for ‘constitutional consequences’.

Addressing a press conference, the interior minister accused the Punjab and KP police of abetting and protecting small groups of protesters choking motorways, highways, and link roads.

He said maintaining law and order was the responsibility of the provincial governments, adding that written instructions have been issued to the chief secretaries of Punjab and KP to remove the protesters to ensure freedom of movement guaranteed by the Constitution. He said the provincial governments were responsible to keep the national highways and motorway toll plazas open. “If this is not taken seriously, it will have constitutional consequences”, he remarked.

In identical letters written to both provinces, Mr Sanaullah requested the KP and Punjab governments to “immediately remove the protestors to restore smooth movement on motorways, highways and link roads”.

Mr Sanaullah noted that this was not a long march rather the two provinces wanted to invade the federation. He said the police erected barriers on both sides of the roads to stop the people from reaching the small groups of protestors to get the way cleared. “They will not find a place to run and hide if sanity does not prevail”, he remarked.

The minister also mocked Imran Khan for FIR over the Wazirabad gun attack. “They talk about bringing about revolution and could not even get an FIR registered as per their wishes. You should now understand what is your worth,” he added. Answering a question, the PML-N, however, said it was not possible to register FIR as per the complaint’s wishes in the absence of “convincing evidence” for criminal investigation.

Answering a question, he confirmed that a letter from the army seeking action against Imran Khan for purportedly defaming a national institution had been received by the interior ministry and added that the Federal Investigation Agency was holding an inquiry into Mr Khan’s speech.

Qureshi vows PTI long march resumption tomorrow with resolve to 'achieve target'
Despite no change in PTI's resolve in "achieving target", survey shows most Pakistanis have rejected long march

PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi reassured the resumption of party's much-touted anti-government long march tomorrow (Thursday), after almost a week-long pause due to PTI chair Imran Khan's injury in an attempt on his life while his convoy passed through Wazirabad last week.

PTI has changed its plans for the third time and rescheduled the resumption of the long march for a second since the attempt on Khan's life.

The protests against the attack "continue across Pakistan", with PTI insisting on the registration of FIR against the assassination bid as per the demands of the victim and "independent inquiry" into the matter.

The party had rejected the FIR straight away when it was finally registered several days after the attack on Supreme Court's orders, calling it "a mockery law". Despite no change in PTI's resolve in "achieving target", survey shows most Pakistanis have rejected the march.

Divide and conquer? PTI long march splits in two
One procession to depart from Wazirabad tomorrow, other from Toba Tek Singh a day later

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) changed its plans again for the long march on Wednesday, splitting the 'Haqeeqi Azadi March' in two.

The first procession will continue from Wazirabad - where party chief Imran Khan was attacked - and will be led by PTI Vice Chairperson Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

The second rally will depart from Toba Tek Singh a day later, on November 11 (Friday), with the party's secretary general Asad Umar leading it. It will travel from Toba Tek Singh to Jhang and then to Faisalabad.

The two groups are to converge before entering Chakwal.

Earlier in the day, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry had said that there will be no extension in the march's arrival date to Rawalpindi.

The former minister stated that leaders from the Gujranwala and Lahore division will hold a meeting regarding the long march. This will be followed by a meeting of senior PTI leadership.

Fawad furthered that during the third week of the march PTI chief Imran Khan will be present in Rawalpindi with “hundreds of thousands” of supporters. He maintained that there will be no further extension in the march reaching Rawalpindi.

The PTI on Monday changed the schedule of its disrupted long march for the third time, announcing that the party will continue with its strides towards Islamabad on Thursday (tomorrow) from Wazirabad – exactly from the point Imran Khan survived a gun attack last week.

The change came a day after Imran announced that PTI will be returning to the streets on Tuesday to pick up its long march where it left off after an attempt on his life and the subsequent hospitalisation.

However, in an abrupt change made earlier on Monday, Imran announced that the march dubbed as the ‘Haqeeqi Azadi March’ will resume on Wednesday. Hours after his announcement, PTI leader Faisal Javed in a tweet announced that the party’s long march will begin on Thursday at 2pm.

Imran wants nation to participate in long march

PTI chief Imran Khan has called on the nation to participate in the party’s long march for future generations.

He went on to say that nations seldom had the chance to change their fate but said that now was the time for Pakistan.

PTI LONG MARCH: IMRAN KHAN TO ADDRESS PARTY WORKERS IN LALA MUSA TODAY

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Haqeeqi Azadi March will resume from Punjab’s Lala Musa today (Saturday), according to the Punjab Chief Minister’s spokesperson Musarrat Cheema.

Taking to Twitter, the Punjab govt spokesperson said that apart from this, a march will also be held in Jhang under the leadership of Asad Umar.

Yesterday, the PTI long march crossed Toba Tek Singh and Gujrat after it was resumed from Wazirabad on Thursday.

Imran Khan also addressed the PTI marchers in Gujrat yesterday. While slamming the current rulers, Khan had said it is highly unfortunate that an absconder Nawaz Sharif is making the country’s biggest decisions from London.

The PTI chief questioned why is it that Pakistan, despite being a nuclear state, has to beg from other countries. Why does our Prime Minister go to London, and consult an absconder over major decisions of our country? he added.

He added that he is the same Nawaz Sharif who fled the country after a deal with General Musharraf. He denied any deal but the deal was uncovered later, the PTI Chief said.

Imran Khan added that Shehbaz Sharif, along with his sons, was to be indicted in a money laundering case, instead, he was installed as the Prime Minister of our country. Three witnesses and the Investigation Officer (IO) of his money laundering case have dramatically died since he became the PM, he added.

The PTI Chief added that the PDM parties staged three long marches in their tenure just to get an NRO. But, he refused every time, because a country that punishes small thieves and lets big thieves go can not progress, he added.

He added that Nawaz Sharif has never made any appointment on merit. The ECP Chief is their servant, they do whatever they want using him, he added.

He added that he strived for two years for EVMs, which could eradicate 90% of rigging in polls but they ended the project because they want to rig elections.

FAISALABAD:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Asad Umar said on Monday that the nation was standing with former prime minister Imran Khan for its 'real freedom' because “important decisions are being taken in London”.

“It has been 75 years since the British left, but even today major decisions related to Pakistan were being taken in London. This is why the nation has stood with its captain for its ‘Haqeeri Azadi’,” he said.

The PTI leaders's tweet came as the party resumed it's march towards federal capital. According to the party's official twitter handle, the march was to resume from Faisalabad’s Chak Jhumra today at 9:30 pm.

“All patriotic Pakistanis are requested to join this movement for ‘Haqeeqi Azadi’,’’ the tweet stated, adding that the march will proceed towards its destination from Chak Jhumra, Jinnah Park in Faisalabad.

Imran dedicates verse to Arshad Sharif

PTI chairman Imran Khan, in an early morning tweet, dedicated a verse to slain journalist Arshad Sharif, shot dead on the outskirts of Kenya's Nairobi city on October 23.

“This verse refers to human societies that remain neutral when faced with injustice & degradation of their moral values should not expect any blessings from the Almighty as He proclaimed in the Quran to 'enjoin the good and forbid evil',” the PTI chief said.

Imran added that he was dedicating the verse to the journalist who took a stand against injustice despite threats to his life.

March under Qureshi’s leadership

Sharing today's plan for the march, PTI leader Musarrat Cheema shared that the march will resume from Mandi Bahauddin at 2:30 pm under the leadership of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, adding that the party's vice chairperson will address the workers at 4 pm, followed by the PTI chief’s address that he will conduct via a video link at 4:15 pm.

PTI’s Asad Umar has said the party’s public gathering in Rawalpindi in the days to come will be the “biggest ever”, adding that the PTI will neither get threatened nor will it bow down.

“We won’t hide behind bulletproof glass. We will keep standing with all our supporters and we will win at the end of our struggle,” he said.

IHC ASKS PTI TO FILE FRESH NOC PLEA FOR ISLAMABAD SIT-IN

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to file a fresh NOC plea for a sit-in in the federal capital, ARY News reported.

IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq took up the petitions filed by local traders and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf against and in favor of a long march and possible sit-in in Islamabad.

During the course of the hearing, PTI’s lawyer said that the plaintiff Ali Nawaz Awan is out of the city and will not be available in today’s hearing.

To, this the Deputy Attorney General of Pakistan Fazlur Rehman Niazi said they are unaware of where they have to appear before the court. Niazi also gave a reference to the closure of motorways during the recent protest of PTI.

When I traveled at the motorway, 10 people led by Zulfi Bukhari were protesting and the road was closed to traffic.

“No, no don’t take anyone’s name,” CJ IHC Justice Aamer Farooq was quoted as saying.

The IHC observed that the long march cannot be stopped and the CJ Aamer Farooq asked the PTI counsel to show some ‘responsibility’.

He also directed the PTI to file a fresh NOC plea for a sit-in in Islamabad and added administration should ensure that roads are not blocked.

Later, the hearing was adjourned until November 22.

ARY

Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial stated on Friday that he expected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan to hold his party’s Haqeeqi Azadi March in accordance with the law.

The apex court heard the federal government’s plea seeking contemp proceedings against the deposed premier for violating the court’s order during the May 25 long march. Justice Bandial asked Imran’s counsel Salman Akram Raja if the court should expect a law breach during the ongoing march.

Addressing the five-judge larger bench, Additional Attorney General (AAG) Chaudhary Amir Rehman requested that the respondent - Imran Khan - should be required to follow the law if the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration allowed the PTI to hold its march in Islamabad.

When the bench asked Salman Raja to respond, he maintained that he had not obtained specific instructions on the matter.

The counsel for the interior ministry, Salman Aslam Butt, called for the bench to pass directions for obtaining call direct records (CDRs) in order to verify that phones were working in the area where Imran’s convoy was protesting on May 25.

Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi questioned how the CDRs would be helpful, and asked how the May 25 order was communicated to Imran Khan as the PTI chief may not have been in possession of his phone at the time.

Butt contended that Imran Khan was holding a mobile phone in his hand during the protest.

CJP Bandial observed that the apex court was very conscious about exercising the contempt jurisdiction, but maintained that he was aware of the court’s directions not being obeyed.

The bench ordered Imran Khan’s counsel to submit a response to the federal government’s application which presented material to prove that the deposed premier was aware of the May 25 order before his announcement to reach D Chowk in Islamabad.

Political problem, political solution

A day earlier, CJP Bandial dismissed a petition to stop the PTI's Haqeeqi Azadi March observing that it was a political problem that can be solved politically.

The CJP made the remarks during the hearing of a petition filed by Senator Kamran Murtaza against the PTI’s long march.

The chief justice asked the petitioner if he was afraid that May 25 events - where the participants of the ‘Azadi March’ violated a court order regarding the limits defined for the protest - may occur again.

During the hearing, Justice Bandial also asked the senator if he had mentioned past violations in the application, adding that interference in these types of issues creates an awkward situation for the court.

Pindiites resort to panic buying as Azaadi March draws closer

Rawalpindi : The residents of Rawalpindi have started panic buying fearing the arrival of the Azaadi March in the city could increase inflation and shortage of food items in the city.

In a state of fear and panic, the residents of garrison city are wandering here and there in fruits and vegetables and open market shops to store necessary food items to avoid record inflation during unusual circumstances in the coming days.

The majority of public and private educational institutions have announced mid-term examinations from November 21 but Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) ‘Azaadi March’ which will be expected in the city in a couple of days not only create fear and panic among locals but also disturb educational activities all around. The local administration has been issued a red alert for the city here on Friday.

The PTI’s ‘Azaadi March’ is likely to reach Rawalpindi city on Sunday or Monday. It might be possible that Deputy Commissioner (DC) will issue another notification to close down all educational institutions in Rawalpindi city on Monday.

The business community and local residents of garrison city have strongly rejected this ‘Azaadi March’ saying the country’s economy was already dwindling but PTI Chief Imran Khan is continuously playing with the nerves of people.

Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajraan Rawalpindi (MATR) President Sharjeel Mir told ‘The News’ that PTI is coming to lockdown Rawalpindi city. People were already dying of hunger, poverty, unemployment, inflation, and bad law and order situation but PTI was adding fuel to fire through baseless ‘Azaadi March'.

Meanwhile, the local administration has deployed 10,000 police personnel including commandoes from the Elite Force and sharpshooters all around the city to provide fool proof security to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) long march.

As many as 101 reserves of Punjab police and 500 officials of the Punjab Highway Patrolling Police (PHP) will remain on alert and on standby for the long march. As part of the tightened security, 13 senior superintendents of police (SSPs) and superintendents of police (SPs) will perform supervisory duties while 122 commandoes along with 38 sections of the Elite Force will also be deployed. Similarly, 1,194 officers and personnel of the traffic police and 91 women police officers of the district will also perform security duties. After the murder attempt on PTI Chief Imran Khan, the Punjab government has issued orders to ensure that full security measures are taken to protect the march participants in Rawalpindi.

A meeting of the District Intelligence Committee (DIC) was also held here in Commissioner's Office where they decided to provide fool proof security to PTI’s ‘Azaadi March’.

Punjab Metro Bus Authority (PMBA) has decided to stop bus service between Rawalpindi and Islamabad when ‘Azaadi Mach’ will enter the city.

City Police Officer (CPO), Rawalpindi Syed Shahzad Bukhari said that we will protect the life and properties of the public at any cost. “We will provide fool proof security to ‘Azaadi March’ participants,” he claimed. We will strictly monitor ‘Azaadi March’ through CCTV cameras, he said.

The locals belonging to different walks of life have strongly rejected ‘Azaadi March’ and appealed federal government to stop PTI Chief Imran Khan who wanted to lock down the city. PTI chief Imran Khan is expected to arrive in the city from Lahore on November 19 or 20.

The arrangements for his accommodation in Rawalpindi have been entrusted to a committee comprising MNAs Amir Mehmood Kiyani, Asad Umar, and Ghulam Sarwar Khan.

A new bomb-proof highly secure special container has been prepared for the former premier which will be delivered to the city on Saturday.

The PTI chairman has also been proposed to stay at Punjab House in Rawalpindi, however, the proposal has not been approved yet.

Hundreds of washrooms have also been built on different points of Murree Road for participants of the long march.

The Murree Road from Mareer Chowk to Faizabad will be closed for general traffic on the arrival of the participants of the long march in Rawalpindi, while the alternative traffic route on Rawal Road, Islamabad Expressway will remain open for the traffic.

A heavy contingent of police and rangers will be deployed on the metro bus track. Law enforcement agencies have assumed duties in the most sensitive areas of the cantonment. A control room has been set up to monitor the march's participants while a separate special control room has been set up in the garrison area as well.

Cellular and internet services will be suspended on the arrival of long march participants in the garrison city.

It has also been decided to carry out aerial and drone surveillance of the participants. Emergency has been imposed in all hospitals in the city and cantonment area while all petrol pumps on the route of the long march will be completely closed.

You all have to reach Islamabad, Pindi on November 26 and I will meet you: Imran

PTI Chairman Imran Khan has called on all of Pakistan, his party and its supporters to reach Islamabad on November 26.

“I will meet you there,” he said.

Islamabad police to use body cameras to ‘record’ PTI’s long march

ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: With the long march of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) just round the corner, the Islamabad police have decided to equip personnel deployed at entry points of the capital with body cameras to ensure accountability during the protest.

In a pre-emptive measure, the police also decided to deploy officials at the entry points and strategic locations in the federal capital. In case the protesters tried to attack the police officials or destroy public property during the long march, the audio and video recordings from these cameras will be used to identify and nab the culprits.

This is not the first time that the police have decided to use body cameras for the sake of transparency. During the tenure of the PTI government, the police had decided to equip officials at check posts with body cameras after complaints of misbehaviour and extortion.

However, it will be the first time that cameras would be used in Islamabad to tackle law and order situations and to identify potential miscreants.

According to details, at least 10 cameras have been procured in the first phase to test their performance and the number of cameras will be increased after the pilot phase. These cameras are equipped with night vision capabilities and can record audio along with videos as well.

Similarly, Rangers and Frontier Constabulary personnel will also be equipped with modern technology to perform their duties during the long march.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday announced that he would attend the long march in person on November 26 in Rawalpindi. On the same day, in a report submitted to the Islamabad High Court (IHC), the capital police highlighted the risk of an “accidental confrontation” with the police personnel from Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who have been providing security cover to the PTI long march.

ICT police meeting

In a meeting chaired by IG Akbar Nasir Khan on Sunday, the capital police took stock of the security situation arising from the expected march on Islamabad by the PTI supporters, said a statement by the police on its Twitter handle.

Sharing details on the account, the police said nobody would be allowed to take law into their hands. They added that in light of the potential march towards Islamabad and Red Zone, the administration may block entry from Rawalpindi to Islamabad on Nov 26 – the day on which former prime minister Imran Khan’s supporters will converge on Rawalpindi.

They said that permission from the Islamabad administration would be a prerequisite for any political activity in the federal capital. They added: “Police, FC, and Rangers will be deployed to ensure the security of the Red Zone and security will be improved.”

“Keeping in view the threats of terrorism, search operations [by law enforcers] will be conducted throughout the district,” the police said, adding that strict action would be taken in case of any obstructions.

The CPO headquarters will personally supervise the personnel posted on duty across the district and take care of their accommodation, food, and other facilities, the statement said, adding that DIG-level officers will also personally review the facilities for the personnel posted in Islamabad for the long march.

Meanwhile, in Rawalpindi, PTI leaders Asad Umar and Shibli Faraz held a meeting at the City Police Office on Sunday to discuss the security protocols put in place by the provincial police to maintain law and order during the PTI long march. According to sources, the PTI leaders met the Rawalpindi CPO at his office to discuss the security protocol for the marchers.

It was the third meeting between PTI leaders and the district police in which issues related to security and route of the long march were discussed. The PTI has planned to hold a public meeting near Shamsabad on Nov 26.

Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi, a PTI leader and member of the provincial assembly, is expected to apply to the district administration for permission to hold the public meeting near the Survey of Pakistan building which is located close to Faizabad interchange.

Heavy deployment of law enforcement personnel has been made by the Islamabad administration at Faizabad Interchange to cope with the law and order situation.

The Rawalpindi police have already chalked out a security plan under whichElite commandos and snipers would be deployed on the container of PTI Chairman Imran Khan and other leaders and a three-layer security to be maintained continuously.

Plain clothed security personnel will accompany the main procession for surveillance while the government hospitals will be on alert.

The former prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan has given a call to masses and workers to reach Rawalpindi on November 26.

PTI seeks ‘landing right’ for Imran’s chopper
Rawalpindi district admin suggests changing venue for better security

ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has sought permission from the Islamabad administration to allow it to proceed from different routes of Islamabad to reach Faizabad in Rawalpindi.

The party has also sought permission for the landing and taking off of PTI chief Imran Khan’s helicopter at Islamabad’s Parade Ground.

PTI’s Islamabad President Ali Nawaz Awan submitted a fresh application to the district administration on Monday and sought permission to use routes for the PTI’s public gathering at Faizabad on November 26.

Although the application did not clearly state whether it will be a one-day gathering or a sit-in, the intention was clear that the November 26 rally can be converted into a sit-in. The PTI has kept the option open in line with its strategy to keep its cards close to its chest and not give the government too much reaction time.

Recently, PTI leaders Fawad Chaudhry and Shireen Mazari revealed that the PTI would definitely move toward Islamabad. “Islamabad is our final destination but wait till Imran Khan's announcement on November 26,” Mazari told The Express Tribune.

The PTI concluded the second phase of its long march on November 19 and Imran announced a rally in Rawalpindi. The timing of the rally is interesting as the government is expected to announce the name of the new military chief this week and the ceremony for the change of command is to take place on November 29 in Rawalpindi.

In the application, Awan wrote that “Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced a peaceful public gathering/sit-in at Faizabad (Rawalpindi) on Saturday, 26th of November, 2022 for which the rallies/convoys from Islamabad and across Pakistan shall be convened to participate in Haqeeqi Azadi March at Faizabad (Rawalpindi)”.

On the other hand, law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and the Rawalpindi district administration suggested that the PTI change the venue of the sit-in on November 26.

The security of sensitive buildings near Faizabad and the Pakistan-England cricket series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium were feared to be affected.

PTI leaders sought more time for consultation as the party wanted to set up a central stage near Faiz Ahmad Faiz Metro Bus Station on Murree Road near Faizabad.

A senior officer of the Rawalpindi district administration, on the condition of anonymity, told The Express Tribune that the official request of the PTI for a peaceful sit-in on November 26 had been received by the Rawalpindi deputy commissioner.

He said that the deputy commissioner consulted with other agencies to make other arrangements, including security, for the peaceful sit-in. Here, the LEAs pointed out that the location of the main stage was very close to a very sensitive building.

“Gathering a large number of participants amid a critical security situation may disturb the law-and-order situation,” the official said.

Sources said that the law enforcement agencies have suggested that the sit-in venue should be discussed with the PTI leadership and the location should be changed to Allama Iqbal Park to ensure the security of the former prime minister and the participants.

They said that the Rawalpindi district administration has also approached the PTI leadership regarding the Pakistan-England cricket series. The PTI leadership has been told that England's cricket team was reaching Islamabad on the night of November 26. The team will rest on November 27, while the practice will start from November 28. Before that, the Pakistan cricket team will start a practice session at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from November 25.

While the PTI sit-in will begin on November 26, any untoward incident will have a direct impact on efforts to revive cricket in Pakistan, the sources said.

The sources said that PTI’s central leaders have been informed about the entire situation, on which the leaders have asked for time for further consultation.

PTI asked to change sit-in venue due to Test match

RAWALPINDI: The local administration of Rawalpindi has asked the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) to change the venue of its planned sit-in from Faizabad to some other place in the city in order to avoid any inconvenience to the visiting English cricket team who are due to play a Test match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from Dec 1, sources told Dawn on Wednesday.

The request for the change of venue to the PTI had been made by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi Shoaib Ali during a meeting with party’s secretary general Asad Umar and president of the party’s Rawalpindi chapter Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi here on Wednesday.

However, the PTI leader had informed the DC that he would convey the proposal for a new venue to his party leadership and would respond accordingly, the sources said.

According to the sources, the administration had offered the PTI that it could hold the protest either at the historic Liaquat Bagh or the 6th Road Flyover as the two places are away from the cricketing venue.

The administration has made the request to the PTI in the wake of the reports that the PTI may prolong its protest after converting it into a sit-in. Moreover, though the Test match is scheduled to start on Dec 1, the two teams will be required to be transported to the stadium for practice sessions before formal start of the match.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan has given the call to its workers to reach Rawalpindi on Nov 26 in connection with the Haqeeqi Azadi March which he had begun from Lahore on Oct 28.

The PTI’s Rawalpindi president had submitted an application to the DC on Nov 20, seeking for provision of security and other facilities for the planned Nov 26 public gathering or sit-in at Faizabad Intersection on Murree Road. The intersection falls on the way to the cricket stadium from the hotel in Islamabad where the two cricket teams will be staying. The cricket stadium is situated less than three kilometers from Faizabad.

Moreover, the district administration has also asked the PTI leader that the venue of the proposed public gathering or sit-in should not be close to government buildings or sensitive installations in the prevailing security situation.

England’s cricket team is expected to arrive in Islamabad on Nov 27 — a day after the PTI’s planned public gathering or sit-in.

On Tuesday, the PTI chief had reportedly assured the British High Commissioner to Pakistan Christian Turner and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja that the forthcoming long march would not disturb the Test series.

The assurance came from the former prime minister during his meeting with Mr Turner and Mr Raja in their joint meeting with him at his Zaman Park residence during which Mr Khan was informed about the importance of England team’s tour to Pakistan.

The British high commissioner and the PCB chairman had also expressed their concerns that the security of the tourists might be compromised in case of political unrest in the country.

After a long gap of 17 years, England toured Pakistan prior to this year’s T20 World Cup to play a seven-match T20 series which the tourists won 4-3.

The English Test team is scheduled to tour Pakistan for the second leg comprising three Tests to be played in Rawal*pindi, (Dec 1-5), Multan (Dec 9-13) and Karachi (Dec 17-21).

Imran Khan, Pakistan’s 1992 World Cup-winning captain, during the meeting was told that the said series was crucial for cricket of both the countries and therefore, it needed to be free from any possible security-related issue.

In response, Mr Khan reportedly assured the two visitors that his party workers would not interrupt the Raw*alpindi Test, and emphasised that his political campaign would not be a security threat for the English team.

It is unconfirmed if Mr Raja had gone to Zaman Park after getting clearance from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is also PCB’s patron-in-chief and Mr Khan’s staunch political opponent .

The Rawalpindi city is part of the Punjab government, where PTI is in power. Therefore, arranging and maintaining security in the city is the direct responsibility of the provincial government.

Meanwhile, the Divisional Intellig*ence Committee held a meeting on in Rawalpindi on Wednesday to discuss the security and traffic arrangements for the Pakistan-England Test match.

PTI finalises plan for Rawalpindi sit-in on Nov 26

President of PTI’s Lahore chapter, Sheikh Imtiaz, has said that the party has finalised its plan for the Rawalpindi sit-in on November 26.

“The PTI cavalcade from Lahore will leave the city at 7am on Saturday. It will travel through the Lahore Motorway Toll Plaza and then enter Rawalpindi,” he told Dawn.com.

Imtiaz added that the party had formed a contingency plan for the march as well. “We have delegated responsibilities to all the stakeholders.”

The General Headquarters (GHQ) has said that it has “no objection” to the PTI’s request regarding the landing of PTI chief Imran Khan’s helicopter at the Parade Ground on November 26.

A GHQ document circulating on social media and which has been verified by Dawn.com stated that the party should reach out to the Capital Development Authority or the federal government as the matter fell under their jurisdiction.

Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday urged all Pakistanis to participate in his party's much-hyped long march on Saturday (Nov26) in what appears to be his final showdown with the incumbent government to force it to announce early election date.

"Dear Pakistanis, I want all of you to participate in our haqeeqi long march in Pindi at 1pm on Saturday," he said in a short video statement.

Imran, who was removed from power through a vote of no confidence in April, said that only a nation which has justice in it will get real freedom. "When there is justice, there are rights. When there are rights, a nation is free. Only an independent nation is prosperous," he went on to say.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in a press conference raised serious security concerns on Friday ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) November 26 (tomorrow) rally in Rawalpindi.

Earlier today, the interior minister had chaired a special meeting ahead of the PTI's long march toward the capital demanding early elections.

The minister had stressed that "it is the constitutional responsibility of the provincial governments to stop a political party from illegally treading onto the federal capital".

"Chief secretaries should ensure that no government employee becomes part of any initiative or plan to attack the federation," he had added.

Advising PTI chief Imran Khan to postpone the march while speaking to journalists, the minister said that “all the intelligence agencies have put a red alert for the long march in the city”.

“Your own life is also under threat,” he stressed as he addressed Imran and hinted at a possible attack from banned militant outfits.

Elaborating on his comments the minister said that “all the Al Qaeda needs to do is find an agent who would be willing to carry out an attack. Do you think that would be something they find difficult to do?”

“There are those who are interested in causing anarchy and inducing conflict,” he added. “They want that we engage in in-fighting and kill each other. Is it not the perfect opportunity for such elements when a politician has himself named rivals in an FIR about his murder in his own lifetime so that the blame would automatically be shifted to them?”

Sanaullah assured the conference that he has instructed the police and other law enforcing agencies to ensure strict security at all the entry and exit points of rally venue because of the red alert.

“I have spoken to the Punjab chief secretary and inspector general (IG) in detail to ensure that all four sides of the stage are safe and every attendee can only enter after a body search.

““The stage should be kept bulletproof at every cost,” he said while adding that access to the stage should be restricted because “if 200 people are standing atop it then who knows who did what”.

The minister also revealed that he has shared a letter with the party’s secretary general, Asad Umar, adding that if the PTI wished to verify the claims, it was welcome to "sit with the agency representatives and see for themselves”.

“We have told them after conducting all these meetings that these are the threats,” he added, saying that he has instructed the administrations to take full responsibility and maintain strict security regardless.

“We have permitted them to take whatever route they have requested,” he said, rejecting rumors that the capital was being blocked off with containers.

Nonetheless, he stressed that "the solution to his [Imran's] problem is to return to parliament" as he maintained that the only way matters could progress is if all politicians come together to end the "deadlock".

"There is no purpose for this long march now. You say that you are coming to Rawalpindi for an election date. Imran Khan, you won't get a date for elections now," said Sanaullah.

Discouraging supporters from joining the rally, the minister said that this was not a call for “Haqeeqi Azadi but to create instability in the country".

It may be noted that the PTI was granted permission to hold its sit-in at Faizabad for the party's rally scheduled to be held tomorrow.

According to Express News, the Rawalpindi administration issued a 56-point conditional permit for the PTI to hold a sit-in near Faizabad.

The notification furthered that the British cricket team would soon arrive in Rawalpindi, therefore the venue should be completely vacated after the rally was over.

In the notification, orders were issued to the Rawalpindi police to take all necessary security measures for the rally.

It clarified that PTI chairperson Imran Khan could only use the route decided by the PTI, Islamabad administration and security agencies. Moreover, Imran was barred from using a car with a sunroof before and after the rally.

A day earlier, the Islamabad district administration had refused to grant permission to the PTI chairman and former premier Imran Khan to land his helicopter at the Parade Ground for November 26 Faizabad rally.

The federal government has also extended the implementation of Section 144 in the federal capital for another two months. The district magistrate has issued a notification in this regard.

PTI on Friday got permission for its public gathering in the garrison city but changed the venue from Faizabad to Rehmanabad on Murree Road.

PTI chief and former prime minister Imran Khan will join his workers and ‘Haqeeqi Azadi’ march participants in Rawalpindi where he will address a “mammoth” public meeting at the Murree Road.

Imran Khan will reach Pindi via helicopter from Lahore which will land at the ground of Agriculture University Rawalpindi. Imran Khan will appear before the masses for the first time since he was injured in a gun attack during the long march in Wazirabad in early November.

According to Khan, he will reveal his next strategy during his speech in Rawalpindi today.

PTI rallies from different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan will gather on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway in their respective areas before leaving for Rawalpindi to attend the party’s “Haqeeqi Azadi” march.

The Rawalpindi administration has made foolproof security arrangements for the PTI public meeting. Over 8,000 police officials have been deployed for security of the PTI workers and leaders during the public gathering.

Islamabad police have issued a traffic plan for the capital in wake of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) power show in Rawalpindi today.

The Islamabad police shared the traffic plan from its Twitter handle with spokesman saying that a diversion had been set up at Faizabad for those travelling from Islamabad to Rawalpindi via Murree Road.

According to the capital police, commuters can use Old Airport Road and Stadium Road to enter Islamabad from Rawalpindi. In Islamabad, Express Chowk and Nadra Chowk are closed for entry into the Red Zone.

However, alternative routes of Margalla Road, Ayub Chowk and Serena Chowk could be used for commuting.

Faizabad Under the bridge for Islamabad Highway is open while its all loops are closed for IJP Road, Murree Road and Rawalpindi.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice-Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Friday that Imran Khan is willing to conclude the Rawalpindi march in daylight.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi, while talking to the ARY News programme 11th Hour, said that the Rawalpindi march will be a historic political gathering. He said that the party will follow Imran Khan’s orders.

He said that Imran Khan is willing to conclude the march in daylight after witnessing the security measures. Qureshi confirmed that Imran Khan will be attending Haqeeqi Azadi march.

Federal Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah has advised former prime minister PTI Chairman Imran Khan to postpone his party’s long march in Rawalpindi on November 26 (Friday).

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, interior minister Rana Sanaullah said that all intelligence agencies have issued security threats against the party and its chief regarding Nov 26 rally in Rawalpindi. Rana Sanaullah said that extremist parties may carry out terrorist attacks on PTI’s long march.

“Security agencies have already issued a red alert in the city. Your own life is also under threat,” the interior minister stated.

“I also request to PTI workers to refrain from participating in PTI’s [fitna] march,” he said, adding that Imran Khan can only get election date by engaging with political parties, not through Rawalpindi.

Sanaullah further said that if former PM wanted a date for elections he should “become a politician” first.

“Become a politician and meet your fellow politicians […] meet Asif Zardari, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Akhtar Mengal, Khalid Magsi, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui,” he said, adding that Khan can even meet Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif for elections date.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah urged Imran Khan to come back to the parliament so that the “country can move forward”.

Corruption supporting people like you who mock the assassination attempt on Imran by your illegal pdm government who are hypocrites and thiefs that cannot win an election and file fake cases, injure and murder journalists and PTI members forget that Pakistan is in a poor state, there are and will continue to be serious consequences due to that for the awaam, vast majority of whom support Imran Khan, but also for people like you.

Your beloved Bajwa said in his recent press conference that ppp was responsible for 1971, so its best to remember where you stand while trolling and mocking peoples suffering.

Thankfully, at least benazir wasn't just as you put it ''injured''.

Time for these cult-followers to take a literal U-turn and go back to where they came from. Their messiah has left them stranded again.

Will he reimburse the money & petrol they have wasted? The only thing that didn’t go to waste is their time, which is not valuable in the first place.

If it was, and they had anything productive & important to do, they wouldn’t participate in the circus shows.

Really? Think he made his point. Everyone knows it.

Yes he has made his point. He is too scared to come out after the appointment of the new COAS.

If his point was to drag his followers from all over the country to Islamabad and cancel the circus as soon as they arrive, and clearly show that he has no regard and no respect for the effort his followers have put in him, then yes he has made his point.

Their are better ways of dealing with these type of situations then holding useless rallies every second day. Imran is wasting precious resources and time of the country.

Which part of "Imran has huge popularity" do you not understand?

He could have destroyed streets of Pakistan if he wanted to.

I know you may not recall or want to recall but after 1977 elections, the opposition parties which include some of your friends went on the streets and got together to put Zia in charge.

Imran could have forced the military hand by paralyzing the country.

Just be glad that he is a man of principle and not one of your regular chors.

Imran Khan needs to make up his mind of what he wants. He seems frustrated and irritated because the PDM is not budging. A lot of people travelled from Gilgit and Azad Kashmir for days to reach Pindi but Khan abandoned them and left them in the lurch.

Khan really needs to make up his mind. Either do nothing or do something substantial!

If it was, and they had anything productive & important to do, they wouldn’t participate in the circus shows.

This time army didnt fund his tamasha rally. Hence, he knew he cant stay on the road long and this time around they couldnt buy petrol for their supporters.....

First it was Rana Sanaullah that scared Imran his members now Asim Munir aswell.

The hilarious thing is, Shebaz gill got jazbati and ended up speaking too much. His own party cant protect him and he thought that being surronded by his party in a long rally no one could touch him.

Now shebaz gill is gonna be worried.

Hoping for the establishment to pick him up and strip him nude and give him some shocks. Than his videos of crying and begging comes out.... :))

Imran barely gathered 10,000 people for long march: Fazl
PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that former prime minister Imran Khan barely gathered 10,000 people for his long march.

Addressing a rally in KP’s Kohistan district, Fazlur Rehman lambasted the PTI chairman for claiming that a million people will attend the march.

Taking a jibe at Imran, the JUI-F head recalled how three assassination attempts have been made on his life too but he is still standing in front of the people.

“Imran was shot once; he was so afraid that he installed bulletproof glass at home as well,” he said.
