His List A debut was in 2010 and FC debut was in 2013. He has played 12 FC matches and 37 List A matches in his career. I don't think he has had major fitness issues, so it boils to down to local teams not selecting him, or him deciding not to "waste" time in domestics.

I am inclined to believe the latter. I think he considers domestics to be too unworthy for him. He comes across as a petulant beneficiary of nepotism who is not ready to put in the hard yards, but tries to find shortcuts such as floating the Australian citizenship news in the media.

His brother, Sulaman Qadir, was also given an extended run in domestics despite below average performances.

That should be it in terms of his run in this series. Shadab to come back for the final three games and get himself into a rhythm.

I would bring back Imad Wasim for the WC squad and drop Qadir to the reserves where he is emergency cover for Shadab at best.

all the qadir brothers get massive goodwill cos of their dad. and i tend to agree with ur assumptions, altho his reason for selection in this extended squad is well known if rumours are to be believed.

Qadir is the biggest spinner amongst all the PK spinners( although that is like saying he is tallest Bengali lol) but this talent isnt being utilised because he bowls too much rubbish. Get the lad to lose around 1.5 stone in weight, get him to bowl on an open wicket( not a net wicket) with a batsman and WK and force him to bowl around 500 balls and monitor the length of each. It wont make him to Shane W but it will improve his control.
