It was a light-hearted comment from Shoaib. I think no one should attack Akhtar for the content of his channel. Pakistan is a free country and people should be able to do anything which is legal and unharmful
 
Sehwag is a clown who embarrasses himself every time he opens his mouth.

I don't know why people have a problem with with players starting YouTube channels? It's not a crime. Millions of people are subscribing to these channels so obviously there's demand for that kind of content.
 
Don't think Sehwag's truth bombs are going to stop Shoaib who seems like in dire need of money?
 
Akhtar asked for it - should have slowed down on his praise for India.

I got no problem with Shoaib Akhtar’s youtube channel. Think the complaints are really coming from people who feel they cannot control the ‘narrative’ on youtube and that scares the cricketing establishment.

Yes, he sometimes says controversial things, but so what? He speaks from the heart always and is not a vindictive person at all unlike Mo Yo, Tanvir Ahmed and Rana Naved.
 
Agree with Sehwag but the reply is something that he is being accustomed to after making daring attacks on people and teams. Quite a shameless person tbh

I was thinking the same, checked some Google Images, wasn't as bald as I thought so Shoaib might have got away with that one, perhaps just by the width of a hair.
 
Lol so is Sehwag admitting that the Indian team is not really worthy of the praise it gets?
 
Dont think Akhtar's or anyone's Youtube channel would have been an issue if the channels were not successful, the fact his channel is thriving is what get's under people's skin

I am fine with the replies of both. Akhtar gave a witty reply while Sehwag is just being his self which is again not a bad thing and it honestly suits with Sehwag's persona. I mean if someone else would have said, it might not have looked that great but with Sehwag this has become a norm.

Thanks to Sehwag for telling the truth. The whole Danish Kaneria affair was Shoaib Akhtar's attempt to gain Indian popularity. If you take a close look Danish Kaneria was not discriminated at all. Videos will show Pakistan players hugging him with glee, showing a lot of affection and brotherly camaraderie towards Kaneria
After he got banned by ECB, PCB did not come to his rescue because PCB is known to abandon players nearing the end of their Careers (for example Saleem Malik, PCB simply forgot all about him). Mohd Aamir was the only Exception because of his 'boy wonder' status.
 
Sehwag may be trolling or not, but he is absolutely right here. I don't like him for his immature tweets regarding many international cricket teams and players, but well done to him on this occasion.

That clown deserves to be humiliated like this by Indian ex-cricketers more often so that he realises his true value now.
 
Sehwag lacks class with his words (shock) but ultimately he is not saying anything wrong. This should be a wake up call to all ex Pakistani players who are selling themselves out on youtube. No doubt this will sting Akhtar's ego big time...though i'm not sure Sehwag will be so brave the next time he comes across Shoaib in person.

While he maybe right I just don’t feel good about former athlete belittling another former athlete. In life, when someone praises you or your country, try to be humble and not come across as an arrogant a******.
 
Akhtar had this coming.

He's sounding too desperate and too fake with the overkilling of praise for India and its players.

Sehwag was taken to the cleaners after his childish baap beta comments. It was lovely to see him drink his own tears and smile through the immense pain he was going through.

The amount of bashing and beizatti he got at that point is just not matchable. Liquid form.

Ex Indian players will continue to win these trash talk battles as long as India remains the vastly superior team.
 
Sehwag is partly right. Shoaib is an Indian boot cleaner. It is the way he keeps on praising India time and time again even if they are the best team in the world. Seems as if he is looking for a Bollywood role.
 
Sehwag is a grade-A fool; he even trumps Shoaib.

You would never hear something like this from Dravid, Tendulkar. But Sehwag is known for needling people.
I don't know the context in which he said this. But not a nice thing to say though.
 
There's a desperation to please from Akhtar.

It's all a bit too fake and rehearsed.

As a pundit his analysis is very basic, like most former Pakistan players.
 
Sehwag is right. Even a 5 year old can analyse the game better than Shoaib.

Its an old video. Has been online for some time.
Sehwag many times mentioned stuff like this about Shoaib.
 
Shout is a disgrace.He sucks up to Endians all the time.Pakistanis should only worry about Pakistan.
 
I don’t have a problem with Shoaib Akhtars channel since he’s taking money out of indian pockets and making bewakoof of the indian Awaam. And that is because he is not even doing any analysis as such. If you want his 10 min video you are hardly likely to get anything out of it or understand the game any more than you would have if you saw the scoreboard of the match.

That’s the issue I have. He is giving such a terrible product but getting millions of views. On the other hand other channels like Caught Behind have genuinely good cricketing discussion and analysis but they trail behind.

What I find hypocritical from Sehwag is that why can’t he make such comments about AB Devilliers or all the Aussie players in the IPL. They do what Shoaib does with the same intention

I recall him mentioning that the Aussies stopped sledging Indians due to the IPL. You can just google it.
 
shoaib akhtar has a huge following in India.He has visited India numerous time and he knows how people from India love him and gives him huge respect and if you look at his YouTube channel his target audience is India because majority of subscribers or views he gets are from India, if one watches akhtar channel or whatever views he has on cricket one can see clearly that he criticizes Pakistan cricket aggressively and he is very direct in that but when it comes to Indian cricket it is very so little and not as direct as he does to Pak players but anyway I think shoaib Akhtar and also Shaid Afridi will always be followed alot when it comes to India
 
Well known fact that Shoaib appeases arch rivals to earn some bread. Wonder how much lower he would stoop.. needs to have some shame and stop this nonsense. Everyone except himself knows he’s a clown :facepalm:

I for one think Shoaib might have genuine admiration for this indian team. I don't know why people constantly psychoanalyse other people's motivations .. it is sad to constantly view other people's opinions with suspicion.

Let people comment on whatever topic they're interested in, be it indian or pakistani. Leave Akhtar alone !
 
Aussie, English, South African cricketers can dance and sing Bollywood songs follow indian players on all social media and shower them with praise after praise...that is genuine

If Shoaib does it he is after the money

You have to be kidding me, the issue most (including I) had was with what he made up regarding kaneria and then when the time came to name and shame those 'Guilty' ones, Shoaib ran away as usual!

He likes to talk and whatever driovel comes out, he really has no control over it...now that YT channel thing, it is just a like and follow action that lots of 'Faarigh' folks do (mostly the youngish crowd' or fanatics like you). You think 1 million fans or even 2 millions means anything in the real world; there are young 6-8 year olds here that have literally 20-30-100 millions fans/followers, what does that prove, zilch on Shoaib's channel part?

I personally watch it just to hear the word phainta rofl. that never gets old. the way he says it is just classic.

Shoaib in not very popular in Pakistan, certainly not in India.
 
Sehwag has an earthy Haryanvi/Delhi humour but he’s not the smartest kid on the block. He won’t beat Dravid, Kumble, Ganguli in grey cells but he’s more popular than any of them due to his silly jokes that people like. He comes in the Sidhu/Yuvraj/Gambhir/Amarnath catagory

He’s not anywhere close to becoming BCCI head or India batting coach but may judge Kapil Sharma show or become an MP. LOL

You do know indian corporations pay YouTube for advertisements which Shoaib eventually gets through views from indian viewers...

Imran Khan used to use the word Phainta when he would commentate / analyse cricket games from time to time in the 90s and early 2000s. Good to hear it recently now from Shoaib

That's how businesses work. Indian corporations, or International for that matter, pay YouTube and a bit of money flows to Shoaib for giving them a platform to market their products and services to their target audience. What's with the looting off gullible awaam? Lol
