[VIDEOS] "Shoaib Akhtar needs business in India so he has to praise us" : Virender Sehwag

If you knew anything about batting , you'd know Sehwag was a flat track bully, a very good one but his technique was non-existant. Good hand eye, balance and roads made him the crickter he was. If he grew up in England, he wouldn't have been in the England B team.

Is this the same England that can't produce a batsman who can average over 50, or a bowler who can average below 25? Be it in their A, B or Z teams.

Akhtar is a nobody compared to Sehwag.

Sehwag has had a far better career in addition to terrorizing Pakistan during Shoaib’s time.

Overall, Shoaib was Sehwag’s bunny.

Shoaib has his own place in history because of his reputation as arguably the fastest bowler of all time.

His Mickey Mouse hall of Test wickets will not take that away from him, but he is nowhere near Sehwag in terms of stature.
Both were heavy weights and impact players but Sehwag has obviously won more games as he didnt have the fitness issues which Akhtar had.

Dont think you can call Akhtar a nobody in comparison to Sehwag though.

Perhaps it is a harsh way of saying it but there is no comparison between the two as far as achievements are concerned.

Only 4 openers in 150 years of Test cricket have scored more runs than Sehwag, who also has the second most Test hundreds for an Indian opener.

Shoaib has less Test wickets than Neil Wagner, Jadeja, Heath Streak etc.

Shoaib’s ODI career was much better than his Test career but still his achievements are not special.

At the end of the day, apart from the fastest ball, Shoaib has practically nothing to show for in his career when you compare him to the greats of the game.

Sehwag is an ATG Test opener to be honest.

Shoaib doesn't stand close to him in terms of legacy.

Lol i repeat, so is Sehwag saying the Indian team is not worthy of the praise and hype it gets? Its either this or whatever Shoaib has been praising the Indian team for is correct.

Or the correction option #3) Sehwag couldn't help but bash him because he is jealous that Shoaib is still relevant after all these years whereas he isn't ;)

You're celebrating Sehwag's longevity and that's fine as Shoaib's career was riddled with injuries. But if you're comparing both of their worth as a player (i.e. who to pick in a playing XI) - they both are quite close in skill for their respective disciplines.
