[VIDEOS] Shubman Gill - Future Indian batting star

It saddens me to accept that how a drop in one batting position ( from #3 to #4) ended up making such a huge difference in his batting performance.
If Kohli opens or bats at 3his record would have been terrible as well. As it is , that is terrible. Thsi is why Jaiswal will always be rated higher. Opening is the hardest job overseas. No.3 is also hard job.

He was batting at wrong position all along. No.3 and opener. At no.4 he doesn't need to face newish ball. So far his record at no.4 is much better.
I want to see runs from him in lords or oval kind of tough pressure cooker situations/pitches. We don't want a captain like babar who scores soft runs .

I think he has it in him to do that in longer formats. HE is yet to prove in ODIs though. Now that he has the captaincy let us see. He seems like a guy who elevates his performance when he captains.

Hasn't faced best teams yet, tours to NZ,SA are bigger challenge considering his footwork eventhough NZ should be ok considering his position.

He was failing even in India before captaincy. His real turning point was his series against England in India where he started working on his batting. Before ENgland series he made some more adjustments. NZ is not exactly a challenge. For some reasons our bozos failed there. Even Bangladesh has batted well there. SA is the real challenge.
