Made his FC debut for Rawalpindi in round two of the QeA trophy vs ZTBL yesterday and took 18-7-49-4.

He’s listed as “fast” but that seems a little optimistic. That said he can swing and seam the ball and gets awkward bounce due to his height. It’s obviously difficult to judge his accuracy based solely on the video above but his e/r in the previous tournaments he has played in has been good.

By way of background, he regularly featured in the PCB’s age-group tournaments between 2012-2015 and generally performed well in them. He took a short break from cricket but then returned towards the back end of 2017/2018; in that year’s inter-district senior three day tournament he played 3 matches for Jhelum, and his figures were 65-19-139-12. That’s an average of 11.58, s/r of 32.5 and e/r of 2.14.

He played two games in the most recent Patron’s Trophy but this game vs ZTBL is the first time he has played for a senior domestic side in any format. Let’s see how he performs in the rest of this season.

Reminds so much of Muhammad Abbass. Nice neat action and good lengths. But if he is taller than can get much better success than Abbass.

Was searching for him yesterday as I remember a poster called hasham really used to rate him. I don't know where he's gone now

That second dismissal was particularly good; if you slow down the video you'll see it looks like the ball is going to shape away in the air but then seams back in sharply. If he can develop an inswinger he'll be a handful.

Re his height, the third dismissal is a good example- he sees the batsman coming, drops his length back and gets that awkward bounce.

Yeah I am sure he will learn that inswinger. He needs exposure to more competitive cricket. Must keep an eye on him.

There's definitely potential there more of a longer format bowler though unlikely to be as good in shorter formats.

8-4-15-4 in the second innings. Eight wickets in his debut FC match!

He seemed around 80- 82mph and got bounce. The run up id poor and needs more energy into the crease.

Surely looks slow. But the action looks quite simple and easy to repeat. Height is an advantage surely and looks like he can move the ball both ways. Having said this, the Pitch looks totally green and batsmen's technique arent really up to the mark either. Its just his first match so i will reserve my judgement.

10-3-30-5 in round three to help bowl out PTV for 116. (Three lbws, including Saud Shakeel.)

For context, Rawalpindi (who have struggled to score this season) posted 392 in the first innings.

He's set up the match nicely for his side, and as a result could cause an upset.

Some good channel bowling. If looks as though if there's any movement to be had, he'll find it.

Looking forward to seeing him bowl at other grounds.

His bowling style reminds me so much of shabbir ahmed. Decent bounce and seam movement.

The batting is very poor quality , batsmen not using the foot at all , and getting tangled.

Selected for Northern's main XI. His bowling style seems to be combination of Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Abbas but his height is more like Asif.

Any info on him about how he did on the new flat pichtes? Did he play at all?

He played for Northern 2nd XI last year. Statistically he wasnt great. Best pacer for Northern in 2nd Xi was Salman Irshad but after that there wasnt much and control wise Tauseeq showed better control abd economy in the matches he played. Both Salman and Tauseeq are promoted to the main XI as other Northern pacers are with National team.

Taller and slower version of M.Abbas , last time I heard he couldn't break 130k barrier but that was 4 years ago.

Surface looked a bit green.

Hopefully he will do well if given a chance.
