Why do you hate Travis so much? I use to believe that it was thanks to me, but now I've realised it's something else.

It isn't even critiscm, you genuinely have some weird hate fetish towards him.

Also it's not a phatta. If you believe it's a phatta you have no understanding of the game. Sri Lanka is just bowling extremly poorly.

Lastly you argued the same thing pre BGT and when Travis was the highest scorer again more tantrums?

Its a patta, will probably take turn from day 4 but before that it won't offer any help for the bowlers.

Usman Khawaja is done as an opener, he did well in his career but now he is done. Any pitch where he scores fluently is a patta. Yes Srilanka has no proper pacer but there spinners are good.
 
Travis is a modern day batter. he is not gonna play traditional test cricket.

Travis is such a lovely batsman to watch. Reminds me of Sehwag... talent plus uninhibited stroke play... If he gets going is nigh unstoppable! I watch his batting everytime I can, he isnt pleasing to the eye per se... but i still cannot move away from the screen.

I said he reminds me of Sehwag coz I am from that generation that grew up watching that generation players.. I am not comparing... :abbas

One of the players to look out for in CT. And the IPL for that matter.

I am sure SRH fans are waiting for a repeat of last season from him. SRH seem to have faith in him. They retained him for $1.6 million/year.

I have said it before and will say it again.

He is top 5 greatest all format batsmen of all time.

Only Kohli, Gayle, KP and Warner are better then him.

Rohit and Ab can be argued but for me an all format player needs to he consistent in all formats.

Rohit was rubbish in test and De villers was rubbish in t20, he was an ipl Chad but a total fool in international t20.

However if people wish to put them > then sure.

However in 18 years of all format existing india has yet to produce a single all format batsmen > Head excluding Kohli and debatably Rohit is comical.
 
A complete hack and a nothing cricketer. His fans are happy with his 60 vs Windies, such low standards for the player.

don't think t20is should be considered at par with Tests and ODIs atleast not with majority of the traditionalist fans. Tests and ODIs should be weighed more. t20i lineups for a lot of countries is just playing your burgeoning players in bilaterals with only first preference teams playing in the wt20. Even wt20 isn't at the same level as the ODI wc.

Graeme Smith, Mathew Hayden, Gili are all ahead of Head as all format players. Head is brilliant no doubt. But he wouldn't be batting at no.5 in Waugh's or Ponting's test eleven.

None of these guys played all formats. I'm referring to test, odi and t20 all 3 combined.

The older players are goats and t20 didnt exist hence I never put them in all format brackets but I do view them as ATG.

When did I claim head > Hayden or gilly?

Travis Head is top 5 greatest all format players of all time. Rohit and Ab is dont put in that category due to never kicking off in test(rohit) or T20(ab)

Hayden, Smith, Gili all played t20is bro. Hayden actually averaged in 40s with SR in 140s as well. He was pretty consistent throughout the wt20 07 till he got that ball from sreesanth in the semi.
I saw Hayden bat better than most of t20 superstars in early t20i era. 2007 wt20.
Smith lead SA to the semi of wt20 09.
Gili also played the first wt20.
And I never said Head isn't good. He is actually the most entertaining batter of the present. But Smith, Hayden and Gili have ATG careers in Test and ODIs and played some t20is.

Gilly isnt really a t20 player. He hardly played any. His stats are pretty pathetic, bit its understandable as his generation never got accustomed to it.

Hayden is fair and so is smith but the issue they didn't really play that much either? Hayden has played what like 9 t20's?

But sure Hayden is Australia best opener > Warner and Gilly who thensleves are >>>>>>> Head an openers. So i dont mind hayden being >.

But again its just they played so few? I dont really put them their.

tbh Gili was Warner before Warner burst to the scene. He gave Aus quick starts in almost every t20i he played which is why he still averaged in 20s despite having the highest score of 48 only. He played IPL for years and for their weakest team (Kings XI), yet he was the best player of his team there.
Nevermind, we both are talking about different things lol. I don't usually consider t20is as important as ODIs and Tests. And you are correct in your assessment as well.

That's fair, i dont consider it either. Its just T20 is now more dominant then test and odi sadly.

But yes a t20 player will never be as techincally proficient as a odi + Test player who plays both formats.

And peak Gili, Jayasuria and Sehwag would ace t20is. Sehwag for some reason never quite got going in t20is despite being exceptional in the longer formats from 2007-11.
From your list, I think Watson would make the top 10 as well cause his weakest format was tests while he nailed ODI and t20is.
