Mohammad Akram regarding the Hassan Ali & Yasir Shah video

"I only saw it today and called them in the morning to see me & explained a few things to them very clearly. Both were very embarrassed about it as this kind of behaviour is not acceptable in any society or culture"

"We need to move on now and concentrate on the game; Some things dont need to be said in public but all I can say is that they were both explained in an appropriate and nice manner"

Shameful. Pakistani player behavior is out of control. They really need training on the difference between what they think they should do and what they should actually do.

:)) Hassan Ali man :)))

It was a training session, not an international match. Just two friends goofing around.

Even Western players dont do that. Poor poor from both players.

Chill man :))) two people just messing around in a training session lol.

I'd be far more concerned if this was taking place in the dressing room. Out in the open i think we're pretty safe.

Well we all saw the zampa and khawja video. There are many different ways to fool around. This was just immature... they are not kids, they are adults.

:))) :)))

They weren't doing what some people are thinking.

Just two friends having a harmless moment.

The camera angle gives the impression they were doing the 'act'.

Nope. Players slap each other's butt all the time too especially when celebrating a wicket. It isn't in a bad way.

Can't believe an issue is being made out of it.

Who cares, it's a practice session. "Lewd" lolol they're both just messing around and laughing.

I wouldn’t put it past the way these guys have to go up on the streets of Pakistan

This country needs a serious clean up!

Mamoon another master shot by you. You were right about Hassan Ali behaviour.

Once a paindu, always a paindu.

These kind of jokers show us the lack of basic education in Pakistan's sports fraternity.

Even Western players dont do that. Poor poor from both players.

Chill out guys its a bit of fun and banter, not my kind of fun, but i dunno why so many are offended by it. Go into a western dressing room and i will guarantee you would see a lot worse then this.

This is not in a dressing room - huge difference.

its on a practice pitch during a team training session, what difference does it make. what are you actually offended with? ?

Anything done in public like that is disgusting. May not be an issue in the West but its in Pakistan.

we see guys walking around holding hands in pakistan all the time, all in innocence, this is the 21st century times have changed, just because you get offended by a joke doesn't make it wrong.

Its not meant to be in public. They aren't doing this in the middle of a game.

Its in a practice session...

Have you watched the video? This is not walking around holding hands.

Have you watched the video? This is not walking around holding hands.

yes i have it looks like they are grinding on each other which is a dance move, carlos braithwaite next to them looks like he is finding it funny( dance move comes from that part of the globe) so may be more context to their actions. But again like i said not my cup of tea but im not gonna judge and over react at some harmless bit of fun.

Practice, training session or match. This behaviour is not needed or very intelligent.

Sure it's weird but low-key I feel like this is getting over blown

Wow I did not expect this from a country like Pakistan. Pretty shameful behavior. Should get fines.

They're jackasses not because they behaved like this, but because they don't seem to know the simple rules of when not to behave like this.

In itself this is juvenile behaviour, not very uncommon among a typically younger subcontinental male demo that's goofing around.

But when its done by mature (ie older) AND known cricket players AND in a public setting AND when cameras are on them all the time, well I question their intelligence, sense of propriety, and just basic common sense.

Stupid on their part. However, this was a closed practice session and outsiders shouldn't be allowed to film anyway. This should be non-story. Slap on the wrist from PCB and move on.

you guys seriously need to go take alook at Zampas video

this is not even a serious issue for gods sake.

Mamoon another master shot by you. You were right about Hassan Ali behaviour.

Everyone knows Hasan Ali is a show off, so with respect to Mamoon his view on Hasan was no master stroke.
As for this incidence it is absolutely nothing to be reprimanded for, two friends playing around amongst their team mates. Hasan Ali is a young lad after all.

This video will serve as an excuse for people to verify their theories about Hasan Ali’s decline (his behavior).

The truth is that this is locker-room behavior.

Anyone part of a team or group of guys can attest that this is done regularly as a joke.

Zampa and Stoinis’ acts during a LIVE match were just as “lewd”.

if that was the case, why did PZ management make the statement about "explaining" stuff to both and why did they apologize?

Should keep it to locker room. Amusing irrespective and hoping to see memes lol.

Similar to Khwaja -Zampa thing

What's up with them...fooling around is fine but Ali grinding against his butt for supposedly two heterosexual guys in Pakistan?? Nah not having it.

These kind of things happen in dressing rooms.
PZ management were reactive cuz these guys were caught on camera.
I don't think we should judge them too much, shughal hay unka and they don't mean it.
Just laugh it off man, no point making a fuss about this, it's a practice session.

This is nothing compared to what Gambhir did to Ishant Sharma during a match. That was disgusting

I dont see the purpose of putting these videos on the net. We need to pull back from using videos to catch people out.

Yall, what lewd behaviour ? Two fools goofing around and Yes, yasir shah enjoying it more ;)

This is such a non-issue. Yes they're idiots but really inconsequential in the grand scheme of things

We have been seeing clips during PSL in Rawalpindi Stadium where a girl standing on the seasr was being groped from behind, no hue and cry about that.

Mobile phones are not needed everywhere and these are 2 friends. If what they did was wrong than the one who has captured this act should also be charged legally as well.

socially handicapped morons finding this funny
The players have been socially handicapped morons for years: remember Intikhab Alam writing in an end of tour report that several players didn’t know how to use a toilet properly?

Just saw the clip, Astagfirullah. These things shouldn't be happening in a country like Pakistan so openly :moyo

They were goofing around in a training session. Nothing serious.

I agree, Pakistani cricketers are the best at lighthearted goofing around in public - smoking pot on beaches, using racial slurs on mike, taking pictures with random girls in bed, biting balls on camera, lecturing players on religion mid-matches, transporting drugs at airports, slapping coaches and whatever Yasir and Hassan were doing. Add to that some mild examples of spot fixing, internal team politicking, frequent rebellions, taking performance enhancers and some other such healthy conduct.

We must widen our definition of fun to include all that Pakistani players do frequently and which is now considered normal and harmless. If we don't do that, our next generation of cricketers will not be able to replicate such healthful, productive examples.

Can someone add some more examples please of Pakistani players 'goofing off'? I really think we should share it for the world to benefit.

People who grew up in a sexually open western society will find nothing wrong in it. However in a country like Pakistan this is inappropriate behavior by public figures. I am glad they got some punishment. It shows that people are keeping it fair and not excusing them just because they are male. Typically women are the ones who have to fear harsh judgment and watch their every step.

Women are shunned in our society for dressing the wrong way, showing too much hair, too much skin or smiling a lot in public in presence of foreign males.

It's only fair that these two are punished for this. If they had it done in private I would no big issue but since it has caught publics attention it requires some punishment.

Is this the Islamic Republic of Pakistan?

On a serious note, plain cringey and embarrassing to look at.

I grew up in England and I find this kind of behaviour sickening.

Hassan Ali is on everyone’s hit list these days. The guy doesn’t help himself with his careless behaviour

anti social morons with a narrow mind need to lighten up, no one is condoning the behavior, the point is this is being blown way out of proportion, some even comparing to spot fixing sagas of years gone by and what not, calm down guys.

Do they deserve to be punished? If this was an actual match, then yes. Is it cringy in general? Yes.

Yes; because shaking the Queen’s hand and using a toilet really showcases itself on the cricket field.

Not sure what social society you live in but this isn’t freaking normal in any civilized environment

There is none I dislike more than Hassan Ali in Pakistan cricket these days. He is the poster boy of fake superstars Pakistan has been producing lately. I'm glad that he's left behind by other bowlers and won't be picked for Pakistan anytime soon.

He became too famous too soon, could not digest it.

What is wrong with it in your opinion, can you define what you believe normal to be? i live in a western society where i see this type of behavior on a daily basis, it is labelled as friends clowning around which is what it looks like here, no malice intended, again may i add i don't condone or promote this behavior but some of the reactions are way over the top, just because you don't agree with something does not make it right or wrong, learn some tolerance.

Yo, people makin excuses about other teams/players doing worse but this is Pakistan and we don't need the Aussies or English as examples. Unacceptable.

Have a harsh word and move on, if they do it again, fined them, again just drop them.

If this is how you and your friends “clown”around I feel pretty bad for you. I’ve been in the US 17 years now and never seen anything like this in public. Even at clubs you see people dancing and grinding but not humping each other. The only place where I’ve seen two species hump in public is the dog park.

Like i said i don't condone this behavior but if this is the type of thing that will offend you so badly and cause so much grief and anger then i feel equally bad for you. Have a word with them and move on, the point i am trying to make is the over reaction where people have compared them to spot fixers ball biters weed smokers etc is very unnecessary.

The problem is Champions Trophy 2017 really went to his head. All been downhill since then.

Wont touch Hassan Ali with a 10 foot pole .... he needs to be kept as far away from pakistani team as possible

there is some line in being jolly and being just plain cave-man garbage... this was even below that

but then this is wat we expect from Hassan Ali

Lol this does not give me grief or anger. I just think it’s pathetic that there are people saying “there’s no big deal”, “just 2 guys having fun”....goes to show how ripped apart our social fabric as a country is. It’s also stupid to equate this to spot fixing...but hey everyone’s got an opinion that they will peddle.

And another video comes to light of Hasan Ali messing about - seems to be pulling down shorts of Abid Ali - not very clear.

This video seems very old, why's it news now? Regardless these type of things happen in every team not news at all.

Wow! What's going on? LOL.

Hassan seems like a really unusual guy.

The reaction by the board and by several on this thread just tells you that Pakistanis are one of the easiest nations to offend. For us, almost every other act doesn't conform to some sort cultural, religious or or a made up norm. It's just so pathetic.

There's absolutely no story here and people who have an issue need to broaden their exposure of international sports. What goes behind the scenes is much for "horrific" than this!

Hasan definitely looks quite childish here.

But that's all it is - childish but outside the public.

Or what Shakib Al Hasan did on the camera. Nothing can be more disgusting than that.

Are you defending Gambhir and Ishant's actions during the test match in England?

You Indian fans are so defensive :asif

Gambhir actually put his finger all the way inside Ishant's in live telly, Astagfirullah.

Sorry maybe it's halal for you, not for me :moyo
