He was horrendous in the World Cup, he’s been horrendous in the PSL. I said this a few years ago he has passed his peak and needs to be dropped
Not picked today despite IU having a number of injuries and missing a lot of experience in their starting line up.
The economy rate and his lack of wickets were a major problem through the tournament for IU.
He should have been one of the go-to players for Shadab but he was a major disappointment.
His pace was down, his line and length poor, looked in poor rhythm too.
Useless pathetic player for t20, so far OK for tests but won;t last long in tests also, pace is down as he growing older , I don;t believe he s 27. Razzaq was "26" when his pace dropped.
He shouldn't be playing the test series. Good bowler but at this point, it seems he is made of glass. Three injuries in the span of a tournament and he is blowing four overs every 2 to 3 days. In a test, he will be required to bowl 15 a day. What happens if he breaks down during the test?
Huge risk. First test match against tough Australian side.
Nothing has happened to him.. In very good rhythm... Its just upto the selectors that when will they realise that he's not a t20 bowler, never was... He was and is very good ODI and Test bowler... Pace, rhythm and fitness is absolutely fine.. Its just the wrong format.. You'll see him performing in tests and ODIs very soon..
I hope our selectors define such players for suitable specific format, now that we have so much pacers...
Shaheen all formats
Rauf t20s and Odis
Sameen gul/Khurram tests
Zaman/salman irshad t20s
Naseem all formats
Dahani ODIs and tests
Zeeshan Zameer tests
Faheem tests and Odis
M. Wasim in t20s
It's just that common sense is not that common

Huge risk dropping him or playing him? I think playing him with his current injuries and form is the biggest risk. If he breaks down or can't bowl at his best, hit the right lengths due to not being 100 percent like in the PSL, we have lost the game there and then. Add to that Haris is the potential third seamer, we cant afford Hassan breaking down on say day 2-3.
17 runs in first over from Hassan Ali - one would say he cracked under the pressure of PSL?!

Those 130kph trundling wicket taking deliveries won’t trouble international batsmen in the World Cup. He is still toast as an international bowler but can make a living with tamasha leagues.
