[VIDEOS] Why is Mohammad Wasim Jr treated as the backup option even after performing better than the rest?

Sheer injustice with M. Wasim, got a call after several series, played 1 game and then dropped again for tried & tested player Haris Rauf. Wasim really need to find some connections
 
Hmmm.

With just one ball rule in ODIs - I think his selection in format makes alot more sense than Rauf/Nasim.
 
Another one for Wasim... Superb bowling so far... getting some reverse going on as well...

 
It really is weird, perhaps they see him as an all rounder (where they rate him below Faheem for ex) and not as specialist bowler or something ?

I think he does not fall into the dosti yaari gang, even as a bowler alone he looks better that Naseem and Haris Rauf, and pcb do not want to jeopordize the magic trio (naseem, haris, and shaheen) this is why i feel he does not get many games, and is always warming the bench, when he should be automatic selection.
 
Insanity it will be to bench him in future, he is a proper bowler, Bishop was all praise for him back in 2023wc
 
He is so " dheet" , selectors, for whatever reason , keep trying to find a reason to dump him for ever, but he performs everytime he gets a chance , not giving hem any excuse .
 
Both him and Abbas Afridi bowl well consistently but often are dropped to make room for the rest like Naseem shah, Haris Rauf etc. maybe it’s lack of pace. But really I think at least one of them should play, maybe even both. You need one consistent bowler. When I see an attack of Haris, Shaheen, Hasan Ali lol you know it just feels like it’s going to leak runs.

Wasim on average pace is rauf level or there about and much faster than naseem and shaheen

Abbas afridi is similar pace to naseem and shaheen and can genuinely bat

Lack of pace? Wasim has proper pace. Got up to 145Ks today. SSA and Naseem do not match his pace.

Wasim and Abbas Afridi are both better than our so called first pick bowlers in T20 cricket. They should form the basis of our pace attack for all limited overs cricket but you just know the same inconsistent guys will be back for the next big games and tournaments.
 
Pakistan have made one change, with Shaheen Afridi sitting out with a foot injury. Mohammad Wasim comes into the side...

How does this guy always get dropped from tournament squad at the last minute? You have to fight your own case bro. Nobody seems to be taking a stand for him. Stay strong.
 
Fast bowler Mohammad Wasim Jnr has been released from Pakistan’s T20I squad for the remaining two matches of the series against Australia.
 
He isn't married into a cricketing family... no parchi...

Saqlain shamelessly defends his damad... Afridi does the same (seemed to change his tune in the recent T20 WC after 3 years of embarrassments, probably frustration in the moment got the better of him)
 
Wasim has not been given regular chances but he has been warming the bench for years now... your best bowler of 2023 world cup was not even given regular chances after is a big mistake... Play him and let's see if he can serve for long or not... This becnh warming needs to stop.
 
He has notched two wickets so far against Hyderabad Kingsmen but can he help his side Multan Sultans end strong with the ball in PSL 11?
