In a video clip Afridi says that

1. He and his family had great hopes from Imran Khan when he became PM
2. Imran & PTI made some mistakes and he should fix/learn from them and comeback as a stronger party
3. Imran should have never left the parliament as that was his "ground" and he should have stayed there and fought it out
4. Why leave that ground and start again on roads and containers etc?

Some more quotes:

"Imran Khan's vision regarding Pakistan is very good but to implement it he needs to have a good team but I believe in the future he will overcome those mistakes"

"I've always been a fan of Shahbaz Sharif's administrative skills. You can see his work in Punjab"

"People criticized me for congratulating him, seemed like I congratulated the PM of Israel. He is our prime minister and we should hope for betterment for our nation under him"

To be honest, Afridi himself didnt know what he was saying, and he only got loud.

Had afridi talked on the lines of democracy and one should follow the constitution etc, than I would had agreed with him.

Why did you leave the ground when we need you on the wicket? He couldn't do it for ,20 years in cricket and now trying to teach khan, may be he wants a role in PCB.

Lol, has he raised similar questions to those who looted the country for last 3 decades? Instead he is pointing fingers on a a person who ruled for just 3,5 years and who was ousted by a foreign power. And don't forget we also had Covid during this tenure.

The constant cricket analogies are hilarious.

He is absolutely correct and I agree wholeheartedly with him. Imran is achieving nothing by dragging people into the streets, protesting and causing chaos in the country.

Instead like how it should be in a democratic country, Imran should go to Parliament and voice his differences there. This will keep the ruling government on their toes and hold them accountable for their performance.

Where was you when Maryam was doing her long march. Just because your corrupt imported thugs don't have support makes you look like an idiot

Afridis Shahid Afridi Foundation received Rs 100 million from PML-N in 2017. The reason for the rift bw him and Javed Afridi was because Javed Afridi was close to PTI.

Shahid Afridi is clearly compromised and cannot be taken seriously

Honestly, I think that he is mentally compromised too. He suffers from the Dunning–Kruger effect.

"Imran Bhai has always been my idol, I started my cricket after being inspired by him - If he wasn't around, I don't think I would have reached the level that I got to in cricket"

"I have always praised his work as a politician in the past and will continue to do so in the future too"

"When he came to power, the Sehat card initiative was a great one in my view"

"I have always said that whoever is in power, should be allowed to complete their 5-year term and the performances should be judged by taking the matter to the people via voting"

"I have never directed any personal criticism at Imran Khan, have always seen him as a leader, but I do reserve the right to disagree with any of his thoughts or policies"

"We should not turn difference in opinions into hate for each other and to accept differences is a sign of a civilized society"

"I did not say anything due to any political reasons but expressed by views as an ordinary Pakistani"

"I congratulated Shehbaz Sharif on becoming PM, there was no personal agenda behind it and I knew that I would get criticism for doing that"

"Whoever is our representative is someone to be respected as he represents us in front of the world"

"I would like to thank Overseas Pakistanis from the bottom of my heart because they play an important role for our country and I do feel very pleased when I meet them because even when away from home, they worry about Pakistan"

"Question is that those who are living in Pakistan - can we not unite and work together? Its all about the will and things can happen when that will (to do good) is there"

Sensible stuff from Afridi but bit about overseas Pakistanis is interesting.

Given that he does depend on support for his causes from overseas Pakistanis, I believe he had to say that.
