Just amazing to watch this guy... Taking quick doubles with an odd boundry, and almost easily managing 10 per over.

All we need to do is ask our young guns to watch him bat.. Amazing Amazing player!

Unlikely that he will chase it this time. But even if he fails today, yes he is an amazing chaser. :)

Virat Kohli what a special special batsman

Superman

That is how you play a bowler who bowls six slow balls... Pakistani batsmen take a lesson... I love watching this guy bat!!!!

I have told all my friends, NEVER ever let India chase on flat tracks! It's impossible to stop them.

Unforuntely Pakistani and Australian captains still have not learnt this.

The thing is on these tracks you cann't chase a big score against their bowling either.

Will go down as an ATG in limited overs cricket, simply a majestic batsmen and one who seems to thrive on pressure! its a joy to watch him!

the GOAT of chasing as far as I'm concerned.

Can we get the idiots Shehzad, Akmal and Shoaib Malik have a look at this guys innings? Just watch him bat... He watches the ball till the last moment, and generates all the power through his wrists.. No pre-meditation at all...

He has the talent to do it. Can't blame the other 3 when they dont have the ability or talent on their wrists.

Scoring is so hard on this pitch.. Kohli making it look so easy under pressure ! :kohli

Difference in class IMHO - doesn't matter how much you show them but its not gonna help unfortunately

The greatest batsman of this generation. The one thing that separates him from the other good batsmen is his mental composure in pressure games.

What a player. The ones who call Umar Akmal talented should look at this guy and rethink about their definition of talent. Virat Kohli is what I would call a talent.

Pretty much the greatest chaser to have played the game. And he hasn't even hit his peak yet

We don't expect them to bat as well as he does, but at least look at how he has planned this chase. Majority of subcontinent players are good wristy players, and his ability to watch the ball until the last moment does make a difference.

No doubt. Haven't seen anybody as good as him while chasing... Nerves of steel!!

From where would you bring the "Match awareness aka calm composure and cool head"?

Seems impossible to set a field for him, always hits the gaps and finds a way to keep rotating strike. Watches the ball well too, picked up those slower balls superbly.

seriously we need to gather the cricketing nation and have a meeting about kohli

like surely with all our minds combined we can do something

There are so many things that are superior compared to others. His ability to survive pressure moments, the way he rotates the strike during difficult moments, his shot selection, how fast his brain works where he knows where the fielders are and how quickly he reacts to the ball bowled, his wrists work, his ability to judge the pitch, his amazing running between the wickets, his fitness and i could go on and on.

He is miles ahead of his own Indian batsmen and any other batsman in World Cricket let alone our inferior Pakistan batsmen.

Holy crap, what did I just witness. Kohli just seems miles ahead of everyone else atleast in this format. The dude is phenomenol.

He is just the ultimate batsman of this era, already better than AB. Mentally superior to any one, plays calculated innings whenever needed.

Wow..!!!! Hats off to Kohli- the one man show...BRUTAL from him.. One of the greatest players of all time..

The whole world at his feet, I dont think I would ever see something like this after SRT... Wow...

pakistan basharam players this is how you play for your country. Afridi, Malik, Akmal and shehzad. please retire..

I have never seen anything line this last chase - India down, vs. Aus, in India with all the pressure.

He is not human. I bow down.

Umer's not even fit to tie Kohli's shoe laces. Stating them in the same sentence is actually a grave insult to Kohli as a top tier batsmen of the modern era.

These kind of innings define greatness. Back to the wall, when the pressure is really on.

You could contrast this with world batsmen with high averages and volume of runs in non pressure conditions.

You would take this as greatness any day.

One of best T20 inns ever! by far best T20 and ODI batsmen in world cricket right now.

Truly master class. This is incredible, immaculate and sensational. Out of words

Agree here 100%. He has done it so many times and also in crunch games for Indians. I am not his huge fan, but got to appreciate when you see such batsmen.

Great thing is his composure in touch situations. There will be some games where he won't be able to do it, but he has already done more than pretty much every other batsmen already. He still has a long career ahead.

This is it for me...Kohli has officially for me surpassed Bevan and Dhoni as the most clutch individual I've ever seen in Limited Overs Internationals. After SRT he is India's best batsmen ever.....

That knock had everything in it- Classy, Clutch, BRUTAL, SAVIOUR.. Absolutely enlightened...

It took him chasing his dreams to reach this platform. It seems he still hasn't stop chasing it.

The God of Cricket!!! Cricket has never seen anyone like him!! Nobody comes close to him in T20s and Odis. And as for test cricket, where he is already amazingly good, he will be number#1 by quite a distance in two years time.

Class above Amla and AB. Best Limited overs batsman in the world.

This was not that flat a deck especially with old ball.

Insane. Speechless at how he's brought that back from nearly 14 an over to win it with an over to go.

Incredible.

It's not just his skillset and his mental toughness. But also his levels of fitness. He said today "I should be able to run between the wickets at any time, as I could at the start of my innings".

Wouldn't say he's amazingly good in Tests at the moment, but no reason why with his dedication, fitness and ability he can't improve his Test average to 50 or above.

People like SRT happen to Cricket world once in a blue moon.. and then came in Virat. india is incredibly lucky to have such sons represent them.

true champion cricketer have nothing but respect for him

That's the thing. Any one can improve the running between the wickets and fielding

44 Average, 11 centuries, 12 fifties, that test series in Australia recently and that test match where he almost single handedly won that game, can't be called amazingly good. I am surprised at your standards. Even in test matches, there has been an upward trend in his batting for a while now!!!

Yes. His record in test just doesn't suit his LOI record. He should improve his test record.

I thought Kohli would chase down the total or take India close to it but he departed so early.. Kohli disappointed me. With Pakistsn playing poor ODI cricket as expected, the substance I was looking for was to come from Kohli but he disappointed as well..

That's fine.. happens to the best time to time.. Glad we found another guy who has shown he is equally capable of chasing today...

Don't look too much into it.. it was against a T20 bowling attack. Kohli is worlds apart due to his achievements against superior bowling attacks - and on a consistent basis as well.

It can be a super moral booster for someone like Rahul but a long long way to go before such a statement can be made..

Of course. Look, our LOI batting has been carried by Kohli for the last 5 years or so now.. Yes, Rohit and Dhawan have contributed here and there but they can never be trusted. Dhoni hasn't been himself for a while and the less said about Raina the better it is. With Rahul and Pandey to bat after him, Kohli will be relieved of some pressure. It's a team game finally :)

as I have pointed out before he can't bat on bowling tracks. I am surprised he failed today.
