Hi guys

I am visiting the UK for the first time and will be living here for a couple of months. I will be mostly staying in Midlands (intentionally keeping it vague for privacy) but plan to travel around. Obviously, there are many things to do here and a simple google search would suffice but since this forum has a large British Pakistani community, I am curious about what you would recommend me to do during my free time here (weekends). I am guessing British Pakistanis must have their own unique POV of UK which could be particular interesting for me as a Pakistani myself.

I am in my mid 20s and have spent one half of my life in Pakistan and the rest in Europe.

Theres plenty of historic towns cities and scenic coastal areas of interest you can visit

Can you tell us your interests likes and dislikes for more personal recommendations?

Yep, depends on your interests.

But I would suggest to visit the country towns or the historic towns, they are real Britain. From the midlands, I would visit Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stattford upon Avon(Shakespeares birth place), Malvern.

If you're into sports, of course Lords, Wimbledon, O2 for MMA or Boxing, Anfield for the best stadium atmosphere.

Britain is one of the most beautiful nations on the planet, the nature along with historic buildings is breath-taking.

I’m not Pakistani but would suggest you head north to the Lake District, Peak District, Cairngorms, and Scottish Highlands which are on another level of beauty.

Honestly, don't bother..

It's bitterly cold ATM and heating needs a mortgage

Presuming you like cricket, I'd come in cricket season April onwards to catch one a match in one of the iconic grounds as above. Edgbaston being obvious

Villa Park would be memorable especially as there's a buzz nowadays

Bro, too late already here. Will be staying till June. Luckily I have a whole month of April to travel around.

People warned me about the cold and I underestimated it. It is a different kinda cold than in Europe due to constant winds.

Thats the big negative so far cold winds and Buses which are not on time. I am not even used to 1 minute delay in public transport hahah

Where have you visited so far?

If you have come this far maybe you are willing to come a bit further to Spain. Great weather , cheaper and great local food.
