What's new

Wahab Riaz is here to stay!

Yes defo! Will be our go to man in NZ AU's his fitness should be monitored he must play 5test there #150kph

Once again, despite being quite erratic, has been our best bowler this series.

Shows that he still needs to stick around, though I firmly believe that he cannot play every Test and should be used on a rotational basis.

To save his defenders time:

He is here to stay because....

He runs in hard
He bowls with a lot of heart
He is aggressive
He is roughs the batsmen up
He is the fastest bowler in the country
etc. etc.

He can be a loose cannon but he comes up with match changing spells every now and then.

Remember the 2nd match against England in the UAE on a dead pitch.

Again came up with a very good spell of reverse swing at Lords.

At the Oval, many fans may attribute the win to Younis or Yasir or even Shafiq. But it was actually the much maligned Wahab who set up the victory by running through England's middle order in their first innings to leave them in a hole from which they never really recovered again.

I was disappointed with him personally here in Australia. Think he needs a slightly little more high arm action similar to Johnson to get that steep trajectory and bounce that MJ got. Appears to me he's delivering it from a low arm sling like action which kinda wastes his potential.

Amir or Riaz, Pick and choose. We have to put 11 players out there at the end of the day

I think Riaz tried his best, he needed support from Amir which he failed to get. Yasir was due an off series.

This is correct.

The different between him and Johnson is the use of the front arm. Johnson mastered it during his best period. Wahab hasn't had any sort of technical coaching which Johnson received regularly.

Wahab is a beast, I predict 2017 is going to be his year.
