Easily makes the Asian test XI. Quality bowler.
Decent bowler at best, Shami is a better bowler in every aspect except pace and reverse.
Er no he is probably half of what Shoaib was in tests.

To save his defenders time:
He is here to stay because....
He runs in hard
He bowls with a lot of heart
He is aggressive
He is roughs the batsmen up
He is the fastest bowler in the country
etc. etc.
He can be a loose cannon but he comes up with match changing spells every now and then.
Remember the 2nd match against England in the UAE on a dead pitch.
Again came up with a very good spell of reverse swing at Lords.
At the Oval, many fans may attribute the win to Younis or Yasir or even Shafiq. But it was actually the much maligned Wahab who set up the victory by running through England's middle order in their first innings to leave them in a hole from which they never really recovered again.
I was disappointed with him personally here in Australia. Think he needs a slightly little more high arm action similar to Johnson to get that steep trajectory and bounce that MJ got. Appears to me he's delivering it from a low arm sling like action which kinda wastes his potential.
