South Africa chose not to enforce the follow-on despite leading by 288 after bowling India out for 201, opting instead to bat again on Day 3 in Guwahati; with the visitors now 22/0 at the moment and the lead stretched past 300, the decision raises the question of whether resting their bowlers and batting in such conditions was smarter than pushing for an immediate finish

Wrong decision. They have only bowled for like 2.15 sessions....

They could have enforced followed on and really nailed the door on india.

Am not saying by not enforcing the F O , india going to escape with a draw, but the F.O would have guaranteed a win.

now they have to wait for about 2 more days...

Correct decision for sure. Keep them on the field tomorrow for 60-70 overs. And then have a crack at their batting in the last hour.

Good decision: Bat for 1.5 sessions if possible. Set a target of 500. Wicket is still not bad for batting. There will only be one winner in this scenario.

Absolutely right. This is test cricket and first thing you should do is shut the door on other team
