Given not out by the on-field umpire.

Looked like an edge off the bat.

Given not out by the 3rd umpire.

Was it an edge?

Yes

What's point of having Drs when you don't even have a snicko

Doesn't matter

It was consistent umpiring: following the umpires call as it was with Babar and Dowrich

He was out and Dowrich was not out. The umpires get far too much protection from the DRS.

Maybe. Or maybe not. You can never be sure with the lack of technology we have available in the Caribbean. Personally, I think ICC should make sure that all boards have the same sort of technology available otherwise stats will never be entirely accurate. And comparisons will take a wrong route similar to the biased umpiring in the 70's and 80's.

I don't think you needed snicko or any other tool to see there was a clear edge.

Not enough conclusive evidence, so you stick with umpires call.

Would have been out had the umpire given it out.

I think he definitely edged it but cameras did not show whether Sarfraz caught it cleanly or not.

Wrt edge definitely there was noise.

There was a faint noise, so it was out.

However, the on-field ump gave it not out and unfortunately, not enough evidence to overturn the decision.

That's why you need technology like snicko and hot-spot.

Technology is improving exponentially. How long must cricket fans be forced to endure "umpires call" and "not enough evidence to overturn the on-field umpires decision" defending glaring inconsistencies? The ICC should be embracing these new technologies with open arms instead of being dragged kicking and screaming into doing so.

Cricket must be the only sport where the same result reached by technology leads to two opposing outcomes depending upon whether it's the batsman or fielding captain who challenged the on-field umpires decision?

It was a hypocritical decision.

Prior to that decision am not sure who the batsman was but the on field decision was not out and then Pakistan reviewed it, the third umpire would then back up the on field decision by saying not out.

Then the on field decision with gabriel was out but the third umpire reversed his decision to not out.

When it comes to such technology it is designed as such to back up the on field decision and if there is no conclusive evidence to over turn it then the on field decision is to remain, in that instance the evidence was not conclusive and there was no hawkeye or snicko either so the on field decision should have remained because there was nothing conclusive there.

The discussion is about Hasan Ali's ball to Gabriel in the 89th over. It was given not out and the third umpire upheld the decision. Presumably due to 'lack of evidence'.

If there is DRS in the series then the full suite of the technology should be available, no point of DRS without snicko, hot spot and ball tracking.

100% out, with a clear sound heard from the mic . Other than bat , there was nothing close to ball, not pad. Bat was in the air and was not kissing the ground.
