Kenya reached CWC semi finals in 2003 it didnt mean they were better than others who didn’t reach semis.

The same logic can be applied to Afghanistan T20 defeat in Asia cup. Just because they and sri lanka didn't qualify for super 4, doesn't mean Pakistan and Bangladesh are better than them.

While Asia Cup is a low profile tournament, WT20 is the real arena to prove. Afghans managed to reach the SF of WT20 2024. They beat Aus in an ICC tournament. (Outplaying Aus in an ICC tournament remains a distant dream for most asian teams).

Afghanistan are #5 in Test also.

Afghanistan are very poor in Test. Lost to Zimbabwe twice I believe. Also, lost to Bangladesh by 500+ runs.

Afghanistan are #4 in ODI, #5 in Test, and #5 in T20.

Yeah I forgot about that. They also rank below Ireland in test at #11, BD is #9. Only in ODI’s they are better than BD atm. They are noway asia’s 2nd best in any format.

They defeated England , Pakistan Lanka in 2023 World Cup .

Afghanistan is a one trick pony In certain dens and now their spinners are aging. That brief purple patch of 2023-2024 is over.

Sri lanka would wipe the floor with them, Pakistan will win but Pakistan is woefully unpredictable. On paper pk is stronger.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan are relative.

This applies to all formats.

But they aint upsetting any Sena team anytime soon.

I used to take some of your posts seriously but you saying Afghanistan is the second best test team in Asia, just a day after Zimbabwe annihilated them by an innings and 73 runs has destroyed whatever credibility you had left.

They are not even the second best ODI team in Asia, but atleast you could make a case that they are. It may not have any basis in reality but you could make that case.

But saying that Afghanistan is the second best test team in Asia has to be one of the dumbest I have ever heard on this forum...and that's saying something.
