Sport transcends geographical boundaries. What the hell is a president? I mean a coach or a manager makes a bit of sense but as 'president' isn't he going to be the face of the team? Why would KK want Wasim a Lahori to be the face of their team?

Bring in Sarfaraz as captain, enough of pandering to the underdogs, they should get a new captain
Yes I am curious whether this position existed prior to his appointment
Afridi was also the President of KK.

What does the president of a cricket team even do?
Get paid a lot of money for little to no work.
True. A few tweets. A few comments and very little work.
He lives in Karachi. So ....
It’s time to bring Sarfaraz home

But is he an iconic Karachi cricketer? Like Javed, Afridi, Younis etc.
I am pretty sure Wasim would be considered an iconic Lahori cricketer who settled down in Karachi.
The thing is president isn't a cricketing role. Having him as a consultant, coach or manager would be absolutely fine but I feel the president should be someone who screams Karachi.
Waqar Younis lives in Australia. I don't think many people will appreciate him being the president of his city's BBL franchise.

Didn't play Test cricket after playing only a handful of FC matches?
whatever keeps him away from that comm box..True. A few tweets. A few comments and very little work.
When results aren't going your way, everything is questioned.
I think his role is more about managing and keeping the gelled rather than assemble one.
That role is of the captain and coaches.
