Watching Rahat Ali bowl is sad

The warm up match was held to honor the talent of The Rahat :rahat

His attitude is a joke. There is no aggression whatsoever and that translates into his bowling performances. I remember some of our fans absolutely ripping Amir and Wahab apart, while singing Rahat's praises after that 2016 tour to England. So its not just Inzi and Arthur who are infatuated with him.

Why because he has everything in him except the mental aspect.

Has pace, swings it, has height, has a decent first class record, doesnt get injured as much as other Pakistani bowlers, etc...

Unfortunately he is a mentally weak individual and has not shown that he has the mind set to become an international quality fast bowler.

He is being persisted with because they are hoping he can sort this out. It doesnt look like he can at this stage.

Getting the feeling this England tour is going to go the opposite way of the last tour. Weird bowlers, fresh and raw batting order. It's not the loss I'm afraid of, but the youngsters being blamed for it for many of whom it's their first outing and getting the axe for losing their first few overseas tours leading to the recall of legends like Farhat and co.

Probably the selectors and the coaching staff like his innocent smiling face:rahat1, so they keep selecting him repeatedly. Both Inzy and Mickey Arthur seem to have a special liking for him for unknown reasons. The guy is certainly not fit for international cricket and is likely the most harmless fast bowler in world cricket right now.

He is Inzi's hometown boy, hence gets selected.

What he trying to say he is a natural "swinger", he swings the ball without doing anything with it, others have to learn the art and implement it. No wonder he is is a "legend".

Whenever he beats the batsman, he give him a look like saying " I'm sorry, won;t do it again".:43:

Horrible selection- not only selecting Rahat, but also not having another back up bowler.

Why do we need 4 back up batsmen and just 1 bowler

That is exactly what the opposition says when the phenom gets serious :rahat:

People are underestimating the Don.

I heard that the Don missed two days of school in a row once, from then on those two days were called Saturday and Sunday.

Rahat is one of the worst bowlers to play for Pakistan. Last time in England in 2016, he at least got a hair cut and there was at least improvement in terms of body language but in 2018 it has gone back to where it started. Horrible body language, no consistency, just plainly poor bowler and an awful fielder.

From the days of Imran, Waqar, Wasim, Shoaib to this garbage Rahat. Inzi should be ashamed for this selection.

Averaged 50 in England 2 years ago, don't know what the selectors were thinking when they dropped Mir Hamza for this useless guy!

He's saving his wickets for the England tests, Joe Root and co. are quaking in their boots :rahat1

I think the joke has run way past its course..

Watching Hasan Ali, selected over Rahat Ali, taking wickets is not sad!

Blame Wahab Riaz for this mess. He is still a very decent swing bowler for league cricket

He should be bowling his first 3 overs in the powerplay and one in the middle. Not a death bowler.

Rahat Ali 4 Overs 44 runs Lahore vs Peshawar today:vk2

Clueless and probably cost his team the match.

No thought about what he's doing.

Every coach's nightmare.

Exactly never understood this why not finish him before 12 overs or so if you wanna play him if you cant afford it then dont play him its simple. Same is the case with Shinwari now a days, either finish his quota in first 12 overs or dont play him and there are many such pacers who arent that good at the death and there is no point in making them bowl at the death unless they have shown some extraordinary yorkers in nets which I doubt Rahat did.

From PCB:

That's good to see.

Good call. Bilawal Bhatti has been looking like a gali ka bowler. Total tripe. He used to hit pinpoint yorkers during his first few tours. Ever since he got some fame with that bilawal bhutto stuff, he forgot how to bowl.

Dilbar looks pretty much suited to asian conditions. a bit like rumman raees.

The only good thing about rahat is his run up.
He was a good defensive bowler during WC15 and that's it. Maybe he did well in 2014 tests against aus and nz.
