If I were you I would not laugh at a successful team like India
Embarrassing because you have a team full of players that think their second or third xi can win major tournaments against the best teams but the first xi haven’t won in over 10 years.
You get no trophy for winning 10 games in the group stage, besides 5 of those games were a guaranteed win (including pak).
This was a home tournament, anything less than a tournament win is an embarrassment in itself. The last 3 WC’s prior to this were won by the home team.

You would not laugh because you are saving it for your own team England. They also lost to Afghanistan and ended up below them in the points table. I actually watched that Afghanistan vs England match in the stadium and loved every bit of it. What a one sided match that was.Pls explain how did India got embarrassed? England were favourites to reach the semis and even the finals of the world cup. This was a pretty embarrassing world cup for England.
Before the finals, India was unbeaten in the World Cup due to which indian fans, ex players, commentators, celebrities etc. all of them were too overconfident and thought Australia will gift them the cup. Just like 2003 World Cup, Australia won the one sided final easily and embarrassed those overconfident people who couldn't even clap for Australia after the match ended. Small hearted people of Gujarat don't deserve to host another final in the future.

Brother what matters is reality and in the last 2 years ICC had completed 2 World tournaments, Pakistan and India reached one finals each so what's the fuss, and I'm not saying Pakistan reached the final down under while India enjoyed the luxury of home grounds
No Indian player apart from Pandya had said that our fringe players can win any global tournament. It is truth that fringe Indian players won the test series in Australia with a bowling attack of T.Natarajan, Siraj (debut series), Shardul and Sundar. So after that win Pandya got bit carried away and made this statement. Not sure what is its relevance today and which other players have said it.
You want me to highlight the big statements made by Pak cricketers?
1) I want to take 10 wickets against India - Hasan Ali before Asia cup 2018.
2) India afraid of playing against us - Sarfraz Ahmed during 2019 WC
3) We have left million dollar team behind - Ramiz Raja after Dubai T20

You do realize right I am an Indian who happens to live in UK. Indian cricket team is the one I support.. just like there are many Brit Pakistani's on this forum but they support Pakistan. Let me know if you are still having difficulty in understanding it, I will break it down for you further over a glass of cerelac..LOL.
As bad as England were, atleast they beat your team and send them packing home #AapneGhabranaNehiHai Hahahaha.
Gujarati people maybe small hearted but atleast they are not deshdrohis. Hopefully they get to host multiple world events in future.

If India had picked 3 teams, then 2 would have chocked in semi finals and the 3rd team would have chocked in the final
Tbf he was missed dearly by India. Not sure if india would have won vs Aussies in the final as toss seemed to play a crucial role there. However he is 100000 times better than the dud sky.
Plus he offers bowling. He could have snagged a couple of wickets and then who knows. Poor lad. Always injured.

I’m not sure because while he does add power hitting lower down the order, his bowling is pretty bad and when he was playing Shami was not playing. Jadeja, Pandya, and Thakur would have had to bowl 20 overs. Considering how Kuldeep got worse as the tournament went on and Bumrah has a horrible record in knockout rounds, a bowling side of:

Hardik was missed indeed, but his inclusion does not guarantee a win 100 percent. He can fail too. Big games require a huge ability to handle pressure. Not everyone's cup of tea.

Well based on India's consistent bottling efforts in the knockouts, I think this is nice way to increase your probability of finally winning an ICC trophy again. If both of India's teams get past the first round, you could even schedule a semi-final between them. That way no matter who loses, India wins. BCCI can use their power and make this happen. And they could even use the argument that hey, India generates the most viewers, therefore its fair. Frame it in a way that sounds like they are doing something for the greater good of international cricket.
What pandya meant was Ind will win all bilaterals with 2 teams where youngsters are given chances but come the ICC events all us senior leaches - rohit kohli(in T20s) klrahul jadeja myself chahal - will be back because we have "experience " and then get hammered in the knock outs like WCs.
Unless there is a reset with all these washed up seniors thrown out - Ind will find it tough to win WCs. The t20wc is a good example of this. Just look at the ind t20wc team. Full.of tuk tuks seniors. Bcci is more a branding agency money making firm now. They pretty much openly agreed that they are using kohlis face per kohlis statement and his brand image to market the game in the USA. How you can leave out abhishek Sharma, rinku, parag, natarrajan , pick chahal instead of say someone like bishnoi is beyond me..
Unless there is a reset with all these washed up seniors thrown out - Ind will find it tough to win WCs. The t20wc is a good example of this. Just look at the ind t20wc team. This squad is terrible.
Ishan Kishan is a one hit wonder but will be a walking wicket 90% of the time.
Shubman Gill is out of it atm and he's way too slow, he was rightfully dropped.
Sheryas is good but sky in t20 is better, although sheryas in odi is a gun no 4
Kl Rahul at 5 in t20 will he a massive liability. Sanju was the better option.
The bowling is also very average and lol at bhuvi being in the squad.
The Ind seniors you mentioned can walk into any international side now and still be formidable. Parag should be in senior team. Patidar in current form goes above others. Venky Iyer is a definitely clutch this season. Actually Venky Iyer has okay T20 international record. Striking at 161. Ruturaj is definite going to be the opener. He made 123 in 57 balls against AUssies last year.

Amir Jamal is a good batsman although he has a strange way of playing the short ball. He’s got the pace, he just needs to work on his line and length.
Imo, he can be the type of bowler that can get you a wicket out of nowhere.
