"We have proposed a Pink ball Test to Bangladesh" : Wasim Khan [BCB reject offer Update Post #14]
Wasim Khan speaking on TV:
"Fantastic to see a full house here, we saw it against SL too. People came out in their thousands in Pindi. It's wonderful to have brought cricket back here to Rawalpindi and for them to witness that today, truly remarkable, sort of hair on the back of the neck standing up really.
"We've seen a 16-year-old come on the scene with dynamism, they bring something different, new energy, we've seen the influx of younger players this year. We've seen Babar come of age and this is just great for Pakistan cricket.
"We had proposed it (a Pink ball Test) to Bangladesh and it's something we'd like them to consider because that's the direction the world's moving now. Test cricket played with the Pink ball is something we want to explore more because we're going overseas now more and more and you'll get countries asking us to play a Pink ball Test, so it's important for us to get exposure, and also to allow more people to come and watch from all over the country.
"One of the big things is that we're in discussions with SA to come to Pakistan, their board has signed it off, they are keen to support Pakistan cricket. They finish in India on 18th March and PSL finishes on 22nd March so logistically, we're trying to work it out. Ideally, we could have them here on 24th March playing the 1st T20I. The more countries we can bring over, the better for us.
"Let's not pretend that we've done all the work, a lot of work has gone on for the last 2-3 years, we've had white ball cricket coming back. But to get Test cricket back is the pinnacle for us, that's the health check for any country and we've seen what home advantage has done for us, something we lacked in the UAE."
