Mohammad Amir is the most insecure and toxic cricketer I have ever seen. PCB bent its back to fast track this fixer into the team in 2016. And what did we get in return? A drama queen, greedy, and toxic individual who only cares about himself and no one else. His personal performances may have been good initially but, he has no noteworthy performances for an extended period of time. I blame the Pakistani Cricket Fans and Media for hyping up this pathetic individual as the some messiah of Pakistani Cricket. Our fast bowling stocks may have been dry at that time period but, there was no reason to give another chance to a proven fixer. If Amir was given a chance, Asif and Butt should also have gotten the green light to play for Pakistan. Even at that time, Amir played the "innocence" card as if Butt had forced him to bowl the no balls at gun point.
I disagree greatly with the coaching tactics of former coaches Misbah and Waqar. But, I will forever be grateful to them for giving Amir the axe. PCT has no place for a greedy, selfish, and malignant person like him. Up until a couple of weeks ago, several PCT fans wanted Amir to be back in the team after some performances in the low quality CPL. Luckily, Pakistani fast bowling stocks are better than in the mid 2010s and the team management has decided to move on from this joke of a person. Or Else fans and Media pressure would have demanded his return. The truth is Amir has made a career out of a handful performances in extremely helpful conditions.
Coming back to the main point, Amir should never have been given a second chance. Only in Pakistan, can a proven fixer be allowed to play international cricket and be made a hero. I rather Pakistan become a Scotland Level minnow then, see such people represent the country. Now, we are seeing the true colors of Amir's vile character as he is giving his "expert" opinion on TV channels. This whole World Cup Campaign he has done nothing but throw venom at the PCT, Team Management, Selection Committee, and the PCB organization as a whole. In any other country he would have been taken off air by now. But instead, he continues to try and sell his negative agenda to the masses on live TV.
I can write a 10 page rant on this disgrace of a person but, that will only waste my time. Lesson to be Learned is to never allow a match fixer to play competitive cricket again. May it be Umar Akmal, Sharjeel, Amir or any "world class" talent. Because people with disciplinary issues should be nowhere near the PCT.
Thoughts??
