Fakhar Zaman speaking to the press:

"The hot weather is more of a problem for bowlers - its not much of an issue for batters"

"All focus is on the upcoming series against the Windies and we are all enjoying this training; The aim for me is to become the top-scorer and play big innings in the upcoming 3-match ODI series against the West Indies"

"We were really missing visits from such big teams as Australia; It was great to see children in the crowd supporting our stars as well as Australian players"

"Australia are a big team and they have toured Pakistan after such a long time, which augurs well for Pakistan cricket and the competitive cricket that has happened here will benefit us all in the long run"

"Ramiz Bhai offered us all his motivation and set out a future plan as to how he wants us to play our cricket, and he shared his experience as a former player with us"

"The best thing he said was that they would increase the compensations for cricketers" (laughing)

"He also spoke about what changes he wants in our domestic pitches and we have seen new wickets being made in our big centers like Karachi, Lahore and Multan"

"It augurs well for us that we are thinking about our ex cricketers when it comes to pensions, we are also thinking about our newer cricketers and the JPL is a good step in that direction and we hope all of these measures will benefit our senior and junior cricketers"

Is he happy with his batting position in T20Is?

"As a professional, you are ready to bat at any position; At this point we have a good combination in T20s where the performances of Babar and Rizwan are in front of you, as in the way they are performing and winning games for Pakistan; So I am happy with my number 3 position in T20Is"

Gotta love his team-first and ready-to-do-anything attitude.

Fakhar is a fantastic individual, a fit athlete, a dangerous batsman and an excellent & safe fielder.

Pak are lucky to have him, Babar and Rizwan in the top 3.

One of the most clutch players Pakistan have had in decades. Regularly stands up in key moments. It’s a shame his technique doesn’t allow him to be a Test match player but is key to our Limited Overs trophy chances over the next few years.
