The PTI said de-seated prime minister Imran Khan's aide on digital media, Dr Arsalan Khalid's, house was raided.

Taking to Twitter early Sunday, the PTI requested the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to investigate the issue.

"Ex Focal person on PM Imran Khan on Digital, Dr Arsalan Khalid's home has been raided and they have taken all phones from his family," it was stated on PTI's official Twitter handle.

"He has never abused anyone on social media & never attacked any institutions."

Dr Khalid has earlier led the PTI Lahore chapter social media. After working as an operational lead for PTI's social media team, he was appointed as its secretary.

He has led social media campaigns for multiple historic events, including the Digital Media Campaign for General Election 2018.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Sunday placed the names of six key aides of former PM Imran Khan on a ‘stop list’, Geo News reported, citing sources.

Being on the list bars them from travelling abroad without permission.

PM's former principal secretary Azam Khan, ex-special assistant to PM on political communication Shahbaz Gill, ex-adviser to PM on interior and accountability Shahzad Akbar, Director-General Punjab Gohar Nafees, and DG Federal Investigation Agency Punjab Zone Mohammad Rizwan's names have been added to the list, sources added.

As per sources, PTI's head of social media Dr Arsalan Khalid's name has also been added to the list.

The development comes after PTI Chairman Imran Khan was removed from office through a no-confidence motion in the National Assembly (NA), making him the first premier to be ousted through the move.

The NA session was chaired by Ayaz Sadiq — a member of the panel of chairs — after speaker Asad Qasier resigned from his post.

"174 members have recorded their votes in favour of the resolution, consequently the resolution for the vote on no-confidence against Mr Imran Khan, the prime minister of Pakistan, has been passed by a majority," Ayaz Sadiq announced after the process of voting was completed.

The law says if you are in a coalition govt and do not have full majority, you need to have confidence of the house to stay in power. Void of article 5 resulted in action of the deputy speaker outside the article 69 since deputy speaker doesn't have jurisdiction to enforce it in the first place.

Had defended could prove enforcement of article 5, then article 69 would have come in to play and SC couldn't have intervene. But since defended couldn't prove it, article 69 can't come into play.

You should know that while giving a verdict, only one clause isn't looked after. It is based on series of clauses. If one gets void, the followed one automatically gets void.

Earlier on Tuesday, Azhar Mashwani, the former focal person for digital media in Punjab, had urged the party leadership to move the courts against the alleged harassment of PTI social media volunteers by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The residence of former prime minister Imran Khan’s focal person on digital media Arslan Khalid was also raided by unidentified persons hours after the party was ousted in the wee hours of Sunday.

In other news, the country's top military brass also took notice of the recent propaganda campaign by some quarters to malign Pakistan Army and create division between the institution and society, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Tuesday.
