I was on Youtube searching for something and found this great channel they did a very good postmortem of Bollywood songs where lyrics and music is copied from old Pakistani songs. Videos are divided into many parts

Many songs are still missing from these videos. Nostalgic this thread need your attention :yk

This one tops them all, BJP spokesmen will probably deny it outright!

Bollywood composers have even copied Korean songs. Copying Pakistani songs is so much more simpler, just change a few Urdu words to hindi and dang you have a new song!!

Against my better judgement, I hit play. My curiosity will be the death of me one of these days.

Every line begins with “gaaye.” These people really are obsessed with cows.

I can't remember the exact song, but there was a BJP politician who copied a Pakistani song 99% and then when it came out on social media he accused Pakistan of stealing his song lmaoooo

Here it is:

When they can copy Dil Dil Pakistan and Pakistan Zindabad what do you expect :))

Not surprised. Pakistan always had creativity and talent but the execution was sloppy and the market was always weak. Bollywood could easily rip them off for the same reason. There's this amazing song I heard at my pal's house recently. He's been overtly patriotic with Pak flag along with US flag outside his house after the 370 thing. It's a beautiful melody Yahaan from Shafqat Amanat Ali.

Just to add balance Pak have copied many songs and movies in 60s and 70s, but Bollywood has copied lot more and with their copies they do not try to be discrete - almost all of the content is copied. For instance many movies of great Pakistani Actor Nadeem has been copied almost exact:

Dehleez --> Onchey Log (Rajesh Khana)
Aina --> Pyar Jukta Nahin (Mithun)
Qurbani --> Adhikar (Rajesh K)
Meharbani --> Alag Alag(Rajesh Khana) - this movie has a very good Akhlaq Ahmed song "Kabhi khwashoen ney lota" that was sung by Kishore Kumar in the Bollywood movie.
Bazar e Husan --> Pati Patni aur Tawaif (Mithun)

It seems Rajesh Khana was trying to revive his career with charbas from Nadeem movies , as many were very good movies.

A movie that was not starring Nadeem from 60s "Lakhoen mein Aek" was also copied under Rak Kapoor banner and made into "Henna".

A fair percentage of Nadeem Sherwan hit songs are direct copy of Pakistani movie songs, including hits of films like Ashqi and Sajan.

I believe Nusrat is the most copied singer in Bollywood. His work was way ahead of times and even now his songs are so popular and used a lot after remixing a lil bit in clubs everywhere in the world where desis exist.

Most popular remixes of Nusrat:

Mere Rashke Qamar

Sochta hun k wo kitne masoom thai

Talking about "CHHAAPA", watch the movie Knight and Day (2010) and then Bang Bang (2014). The whole story is same. Even some dialogues and screen play is same. The only expected change is that Hollywood applies more logic in their movies.

They took movie rights for that boss, so many movies they take rights nowadays as corporations have come in, only Mahesh Bhatt Pakistan’s darling goes on copy spree without taking rights.
