Windies batting.

Chris, mate. You aren't going to get another ton. You're out for a quacker!

3.1 Mortaza to Devon Smith, wide, three in a row now! poor start by Mortaza
3.1 Mortaza to Devon Smith, wide, again way outside off
3.1 Mortaza to Devon Smith, wide, way outside off

three succesive wides by Mortaza...poor bowling

Windies made 164/8 after 20 overs of batting, Dwayne Smith smashed a violent 29 of 7 balls and Devon Smith contributed with a nice little run a ball 50. Should have made more, one feels, but the spinners bowled well.

Should be interesting, maybe Ashraful can get going..

Windies fighting back in the last 4 overs and making 8/164

ash better get going the way he bowled his last 2 overs...tooo bad we didnt have any other bowlers.

razzak also bowled well after initially messing up

Ashraful batting like a man on a mission..

He had Mash who also gets it abd at the death but should have used mash after giving 20 and taking a wicket....next over he gave 24...playing well now....but he better take us to victory.

70/2 Bangladesh.. (7.1)

they are really going for it!

Should do that. He is bowled crap, and its 164 on the board for WI becoz of 44 runs coming in his last 2 overs.

Now Aftab is smashing Edwards all over the place, some delightful shots this over.. this is good to watch :19:

If Windies lose this, they will be knocked out after only 3 days!! :)))

67 needed from 60 runs by Bangladesh. We should win this from here Inshallah.

9.6 Bravo to Mohammad Ashraful, SIX, Stunning pull shot to end an expensive over. Bangladesh are rocking here. The captain is leading the way. Slightly short in length, on the middle and leg, pulled violently high over long leg.

9.5 Bravo to Mohammad Ashraful, FOUR, Wonderful adjustment again. It was a slower one, full, Ashraful spotted it quickly, waited on the ball before lofting it to deep midwicket region

9.4 Bravo to Mohammad Ashraful, FOUR, Full-pitched, on the off stump line, lofted cleanly over the bowler's head. Clean as a whistle.

58 to win off 56 balls.. should be a breeze! :D

Free hit Aftab Ahmad.. make the most of it!

It was a free hit for Mohammad Ashraful and he smashed it for 6, what a 50!! :D

they just hav to play sensible here not hit every ball for 6 and they will win

West indies will crash out if they lost today!

2 defeats in two!

Well Bangladesh is a good team in Twnety20. All the players young...plenty of spinners... and a pacer (Rasel) who is bowling very very very economically. The fielding is good...can be better. The running between the wickets is simply superb. A good team but just should keep their feet on the ground.

minnows are making the tournament so exiciting........

great batting by ashraful and ahmed.. looks like windies heading for the exit.

8 to win of 4 overs / 24 balls.

Outstanding play from Ashraful. 3 succesive boundaries

i don't think we can consider bangladesh as a minnow now in one dayers/twenty20.

Wicket goes - but it doesnt really matter

159-4

6 to win

if only PAK and India and BD are in the same group????

after gayles explosive 100 the other day.. who'd have thought they'd be heading home so early.

thats debatable because they are 2 totally different types of games. Bangla have more or less proven themselves in the shorter form of the game.

they are not minnows in mickey mouse cricket..

Bangladesh with a fantastic victory!

They have beaten South Africa before, so...

Thank you everyone for your support. They did play better than the WIs. 1st win against WI in any format of the game. England is the last one standing.

So the stage is set and the goal is 19 ball fifty. Will it be broken within this tournament? I think so.

I wasn't that interested in this format of Cricket. Suddenly I am taken by the storm. Truly a Ramadan Mubarak present from the players.

Didn't realize Ashraful scored a 50 off 20 balls, WOW! That's Afridi stuff.

It's not much of a surprise when Bangladesh wins anymore. Cricinfo predicts Bangladesh in the Semi-Finals!

They've got the perfect team for Twenty20. They can perform well in a short amount of time and that's why they can go further than one would imagine.

Basic reason is they are just too young to feel the pressure. Average age is 21. Tamim and Mushfiq should be playing the Under 19 team (they are 18 now). Oldest is Abdur Razzak who is 25. I wouldn't put BD in to Semi Finals yet. That Cricinfo article was done by one bold person who just put his neck out there to be chopped.

If one analyzes today's match one would see how the older and more experienced players of WI felt the pressure. Same with the Australian loss to Zimbabwe. Sometimes inclusion of young blood can change the entire mindset and self belief. These boys Tamim, Mushfiq, Shakib, Reza, Shahadat and others have not tastes the defeates like the older generations did. They know they can compete with other top nations who are afterall human.
